I don't know if this applies to most asexuals or not but as a preteen I was super dense and everything flew over my head if it was even remotely inappropriate... I still catch myself doing it today honestly. Sometimes it makes for embarrassing realizations.

Well... I'm not asexual and this happens to me... Although sometimes I listen to it not because I like the sexual lyrics but I like to think about what made these people write about it. I mean, here literally isn't anything else to sing about, /right/?
