When Jacob woke up, the Wendigo was holding him in his arms, as it walked through the woods, He put him down, when he saw that Jacob was awake.
They walked in silence for a few minutes, before the Wendigo spoke.
"Jacob, you said, that you trusted me right?" He asked, looking at Jacob.
"uhhh, y-yes, why do ask?" He asked.
"Because, we're be arriving, at a town soon." The Wendigo said.
"What's the big deal about that, its just a town right." He asked.
"No, not just a town." The Wendigo said.
"Then, what's so special about it?" Asked, Jacob.
"Well the town was abandoned years ago, but is now populated by...well...men like the one that killed you parent's. So I want you to stay close, ok?" The Wendigo said.
"O-ok." Jacob said quietly.
They walked for a few more minutes, and sure enough they came in to a town.
"Remember, to stay next to me." The Wendigo whispered.
"I remember." Jacob said.
"Good." The Wendigo said.
The town was almost completely overgrown, trees had grown through the pavement, the sidewalk was cracked, and collapsed, making it hard for Jacob to keep up with the Wendigo, who seemed to be walking almost effortlessly.
They were about half way through the town, when the Wendigo stopped, and held a hand in front of Jacob.
"Jacob." He said. "Do you see those trees over there?" He asked pointing to a small cluster of trees, just behind a low, and crumbling, brick wall.
"Y-yeah, why." He asked.
"When I tell you to, I want you to run, and hide behind them, ok?" He asked.
"Ok, but why?" He asked.
"Look up." The Wendigo said, pointing to the rooftops of the nearby buildings, Jacob looked up and gasped, men with crossbows, and guns, lined the rooftops, and more these with swords, and axes, now also lined the streets, there were a total of what looked like thirty men.
"Jacob, NOW!" The Wendigo shouted.
Jacob turned and ran, jumped over the wall, and ran behind the trees, he peeked out from behind them to watch what was happening.
The Wendigo was charging forward, bullets and bolts, were flying past him at high speeds, he reached the first man, picked him up, with one hand and ripped the man in half, the second man was picked up, and slammed against the ground, and didn't get back up. Jacob ducked back behind the trees, after he watched the Wendigo bit down on the upper half of the man's head, crushing, and ripping it off, leaving only his lower jaw, and the man fell.
From behind the trees Jacob could hear more screams, being silenced, then there were less, and less gunshots slowly died down, every once in a while there was the sound of a body hitting the ground, suddenly someone reached out, from behind him, and covered his eyes.
Jacob, screamed in fear.
"Shh, it's me." The Wendigo hushed. "God, you're jumpy." He said.
"W-why are you covering my eyes?" Jacob asked.
"Because you've had so much, negativity recently, and I don't you think you should see any more for a while." The Wendigo explained, now covering his eyes with a scrap of cloth, it then picked him up, and took off running, the Wendigo was running at such a incredible speed, that the two were out of the town, in about fifteen minutes, he ran for another hour or so, before stopping and placing Jacob down, and nearly collapsing, he fell on the ground.
Jacob ran over to him. "A-are you ok?" He asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine, just tiered." He said, brushing Jacob off. "I-I...Just need sleep." He said, laying down.
"Ok." Jacob said, but the Wendigo was already asleep.
Jacob stayed awake for a little while, walking around , a little before falling asleep, himself.
