I’m walking back to the inn, the sounds of people walking on stone and gravel rings through the streets.

This area feels familiar, as if I was here a day ago.

I spot a tall man walking toward the inn.

He’s wearing a cloak with the hood up so I can’t tell what he looks like.

Something tells me he isn’t there for a night’s stay though, so I better go over there.

The entrance to the inn is located in an alleyway.

The alleyway is a tight, enclosed space.

Everything is close together, it would not be ideal to engage in combat here, but I might have to if this doesn’t work out.

I make my way toward the hooded man and grab his shoulder.

He brings his attention toward me.

“Put your hood down sir,” I tell him.

If he puts his hood down, I should be able to tell what he looks like.

He takes his hand out of the cloak, he makes a finger gun and shoots me with a red ball of magical energy.

The attack knocked me against one of buildings.

He got me right in the gut, this hurts but it won’t kill me.

My chest piece has a crack in it, I should either get a replacement or get it repaired.

Picking myself up I unsheath my blade and point it at the hooded man.

“You are messing with a member of the party that killed the Orc King, do you have any last words cretin!?”

The man turns around and says, “You’re Redmec?”

This bastard thinks I’m Redmec, alright this armor is getting replaced.

The man rips his cloak off.

He’s tall with ram horns on his head, his skin is cyan blue.

This is a Tiefling, if I had to guess his class I would say Warlock.

The Tiefling says to me in a matter of fact tone, “My name is Sades.”

I reply to him, “My name is Jervis, Jervis T Booker, and I’m gonna kick your ass Sades!”
