Elina stares at Neto wondering if she should really draw her dagger in such a public setting..
He asked her if she had used it and though the answer was yes she wonders just what that fact had to do with where she got her powers from.
She raises her hands to her neck and unties her choker, placing it on the table with great care. She swipes her hand over it's velvet surface watching as it turned into a black steel while the golden chain turned into a golden handle adorned in deep red rubies.
"There it is," She glances out of the booth to the people in the coffee shop, making sure no one saw the incredible feat. Well even if they did most would just assume she was practicing some elaborate magic trick. "My nineteenth birthday gift from you." She mumbles.
He grabs the gold handle and carefully inspects it. "Did I give this to you?"
He's teasing. "Yes." She says watching as his gleaming eyes catch the sparkle of the curved dagger.
"Hmm." He says furrowing his brows confused.
He settles the dagger down then hides his confusion. "And how many wisp have you killed this year?"
She looks up trying to remember the two beast she reluctantly stabbed since Neto had visited a year prior. The first was when she was at school and one of the wisp happened to engage in conversation with her. A wisp that could talk is extremely rare, Neto had once told her that when she was fifteen and if she were to come across one it would most likely be lethal. She had to stab that one for trying to tackle her down and steal her choker. The second was when she saved that student from jumping from the top floor of the apartment.
"Two," She answers with the least pride.
Neto nods in approval. "And did you dispose of them how I taught you."
"Yes," She nods.
Neto smiles as if she had just offered to buy him dinner. "Great."
He carefully unscrews the blade from the handle then lifts up his own black sack. She's seen the sack a thousand times knowing he collected the remains of the wisp so that the other wisp would not consume it. If the wisps consumed this dust they would grow in strength becoming to the level of a poltergist What she still wondered was where did it all go and just what was truly Neto's job. Also who gave him the job.
