I put the children to bed early as I didn't want them to see this, Thomas was getting ready for the battle sharpening his sword.

"Hey" I smiled

"Hey" he answered as he worked

"You okay? You look a little... scared?"

"I'm not scared, I have no need to fear," He says

"Okay... Please, Don't get hurt out there" I told him hugging him close "Please, I need you, the children need you, I don't want you to get hurt"

"I know, I will do my best," he says "I love my huntress, so very much," he says hugging me as tightly as he could almost crushing me "Nevermind what happens"

"I love you too Thomas, Just be careful"

"I will," he says "We should go, we don't want to be late" He says getting all this things and holding my hand as we walked into town the sky was dark, a half red moon hung above the city, people lined the streets on there way to aree it was full to the brim with people, many hung from buildings and tree's around it to see Thomas gave me a kiss before he headed down to stand with his brothers and his father.

There was silence.

The flicker of the flames dancing across the dirt.

I found Lucas and sat with him trying to ide my nerves and fears.

Two men larger even ten the king brought forward a large chest it looked as if they had cut down the largest tree in the forest, cared it up and created this old chest. The men threw the chest onto the floor of te Aree.

The king nodded and took the chair at the top of the Aree Beside his wife,

"What's Happening?" I asked Lucas

"Each Much choose there weapon from the Box" He whispered "Each son will choose his weapon and then they will fight" he says

"How do we know if they loose?" I asked

"Both Hands on the floor" he says

The first and tallest son went to the box he selected a sword, then the next went and picked out a strange weapon I didn't understand, they all choose standing around the edges of the circle the only one left as Thomas he looked to me I read fear in is face but he went to the box by now it was mostly empty only one weapon remained a sword with some strange way of moving, you ad to try and swing it in order to fight it spinning much like a Nunckuck I suppose, he took it and stood with his brothers.

The king Called for science. Before he snapped his fingers and the cheers began as they began to move around stalking each other threating and showing there teeth as they did, a couple went to attack each other but nothing came of it I tried my best to watch even if it scared me so much I saw someone fall and I jumped it was one of his brothers fell to the floor with is arm bloody, the tallest of is brothers threw him to the side with there mother before turning his attention to the brother next below him, I saw Thomas have to fight the brother closest to is age but pushed him away both his hands landing on the floor, I smiled and cheered He smiled as I did clearly he heard me, Likely as I was almost the only one cheering him on. I watched as another of his brothers fell leaving now only four of them, One went for te eldest but he simply batted him away like a fly, so tat boy went to attack Thomas but he managed to strike him bloodying is back as he fell to the floor His other brother took notice going to attack him, He struggled but got him to the floor, I cheered even louder then before But His eldest brother finally turned to him I could see the fear in thomas' face as his brother was at least twice the size of him.

His brother smirked and looked to me before cleaning his sword as he stepped closer to Thomas, he said something to him what I didn't understand

"Lucas!" I complain amungs the noise of the crowd all shouting something

"Uhhh... He said" he began holding my hand "To the death dear brother"

"Death... what no that's not the rules!" I yelled

"These's nothing in the rules that says they can't kill each other, its both hands hit the floor y/n doesn't matter how they did it" He says

Thomas Snarled at his brother before lunging at him they kept dogging each other with there weapons Thomas giving his brother a run for his money

"Come on Thomas!" I screamed But his brother knocked him over "NO!!" I screamed but I saw he was leaning on his sword he only had one hand on the floor his brother began to laugh and soak up the victory everyone cheering for what had happened "No he didn't fall, Come on Thomas!!" I screamed he struggled and looked in pain until he stood and stabbed his brother though the stomach making the aree fall scilent as he fell to the floor.

There was nothing, but silence before the crowd yelled loudly very happy as the king stepped down to the aree.

"He won" I smiled happily but Lucas held my arm so I couldn't move "what's wrong?" I asked

"You can't go down until there done" he says I was confused what was going to happen as Thomas stood in front of his father and he held his weapon He looked very upset and nodded to is father as he bowed to Thomas, I jumped as I saw Thomas move his sword and cut off the kings head I was in shock. But everyone cheered and applauded "Huntress!" he yelled to me Lucas let go of my arm so I smiled running down and hugging him close, his arm was bleeding a little I tried to look but he reasured me sweetly and held me close kissing me sweetly.
