My head throbs a steady beat, and my limbs feel numb and oddly warm. Fight the urge to keep sleeping, and slowly open my heavy lids. I'm in a room. There are no lights, and the windows are covered by a thick cloth. There's a nightstand next to the macherest I'm currently resting in. I clutch the blankets protecting me like my life depends on it. The room is completely empty other than the little desk in the corner. I can't make any colors because of the darkness that seems to blind me. I start to climb out of the bed of warmth, when I hear two voices. Tip toeing to the other side of the room I lean towards the door trying to make out what they're saying.
“You can't, don't you understand by letting them stay you'll be putting the rest of us in danger!” I hear a voice boom out.
The next thing I hear comes out buffering.
“It's not your choice…..Take care...and you know that!”
I hear a loud sigh and then right as the next voice is about to sit something, the wood under my feet creeps, and gives me away.
As if on cew the wooden door is being pushed open, and I'm running back to that bed that once protected me, hoping it will again. Once my head is under the covers, I can hear footsteps. THose footsteps are slow as if it was a predator hunting its prey. I can hear it softly making its way closer to where I lay. I can feel myself start to hyperventilate, and have to force myself to calm down in order not to be detected. I cover my mouth, hoping the slightest movement doesn't seem suspicious. Once I'm calm enough to breathe again, I can hear that the footsteps have stopped, and for a second I think I'm alone. I slowly start to unravel the covers from my body only to hear those footsteps again. I freeze mid action, only to hear the door close when the person leaves. I let out a breath of relief, and once I know for a fact that it's clear, I return to the surface. The cool air blasted into my face, and I'm finally breathing normally again. For a second I thought I was going to suffocate. I quickly climb out of bed, and make my way to the door, careful not to make a noise. I brush my fingers against the cool metal of the door knob, and slowly turn it. The light from the outside is blinding after what feels like forever of being in the dark.
I start to make my way out the door only to run into broad shoulders.
Startled, I'm about to race for the nearest exit, when those broad shoulders wrap around my waist. I try to break free, and squirm around only to freeze when their voice stops me mid act.
“Whoa there lil’ coffee bean, I'm not gonna hurt ya.”
I turn to look at my abductor, only to find an amused grin polluting their face.
I growl, and struggle some more only to fall on to my face. Did they seriously just pull the Let Go trick on me. I get on all fours, and glare up at the ass whole only to be met with a wolfish grin.
What the hell is he looking at?
Right when I'm about to say something, I hear another voice call up.
“Hey Seth, where’d you put the ibuprofen?” I hear them shout from the stairs behind who I'm guessing is Seth.
As if to prove my assumption right, the mystery voice starts to come into view as they walk up the stairs.
“Seth?”
Wait, I know that voice.
As soon as I figure out who that voice belongs to her face comes into view.
That voice belongs to no other than the nameless kid!
When the nameless kids finally reach the top of the stairs, our eyes meet.
“Alex! You're awake, how are you feeling?” He rushes to my aid.
I take a step back, startled by how fast he is.
“How’s your head? You took a pretty hard fall,” He brushes the back of his hand against my forehead, asif to check my temperature.
“I'm fine,” I say as I push his hand away.
What the hell was that! Did my heart just skip a beat? Snap out of it Alex! Now’s not the time to be catching feelings!
“M-more importantly, where am I?”
Did my voice seriously just crack, Get ahold of yourself Alex!
“Oh, right, you're at my house.” He rubs the back of his neck, and backs away from me.
Awkward!
“Your h-house?” I can feel my cheeks warm up, and can only hope that my face doesn't look like an overloaded pizza.
“Hello! aren't ya gonna introduce the young miss, now that she’s awake,” shouts Seth, interrupting our awkward conversation.
Snapping out of it, I realize he missed me and can feel my mouth go dry.
Before I can stop myself, I shout the first thing that comes to mind.
“I couldn’t give two shit who the hell you are!” I stomp back to the room I came from.
“OH, and I'm a man!” I yell before slamming the door shut.
I slide down the door, and put my head on my knees. What the hell! Why do people always assume? Can't they just ask?
I sigh. Well I should be used to this.I mean I’ve been through this countless times, why the hell am I just now getting all defencove about it. I'm the worst.
My pity party is interrupted, when a knock on the door touches my back.
I move away from the door, to let my visitor in.
“Hey.” Nameless boy greets.
“Hi,” I whisper.
I'm too embarrassed to look into their eyes, so instead I focus on picking the fluff off my pajamas.
Pajamas! Did he change me?!
“I just wanted to apologize, he’s an idiot,” I just nodded along, still too distracted by the fact that he could have seen what I had on underneath.
In case you didn’t know, I haven’t started Testerone, or taken any surgery yet. Mostly because I can't afford it, but also slightly because I dont think I'm ready for all of that yet.
Not with all this shit happening.
“hope that you understand you know,” I finally grasp what he’s saying, and just keep nodding along. He smiles at this, and sits down next to me, causing the bed to shrink under our weight.
“Soooo….” He tries to start another conversation, but ends up making it awkward.
“By the way, I never caught your name,” I ask.
“Oh, I didn’t?” I shake my head ‘no.’
“It's Sam.”

.
Later that day, when they were finally confident enough that I was perfectly fine and didn't need to go to the hospital, we climbed into Seth’s Black pickup truck, and started our journey back to town. I had found out that their supposed home was a big old cabin in the center of the woods. Apparently Sam was raised in a wealthy family and owned the entire forest.
“My grandfather has some connects, and my older sister is a famous surgeon in new york,”
or so he said.
It was silent for sometime after that. I would occasionally look at him, only to see that he seemed distracted, and he would keep on squeezing the wheel.
It made me wonder if his hands would hurt frome how white they got.
“So,” He tried to start a conversation.
“What happened?”
I could feel my shoulders stiffen from those words.
“W-what do you mean?”
“You know what I mean,” He growled.
“It was nothing, don't worry about it,” I sigh.
“BUllshit!” He snaps.
I jump in my seat. I’ve never heard him yell before.
“You and I both know that's a lie,” he continues.
When he yells it's as if thunder has struck me.
You could feel his anger echo throughout the car.
“It was an acci-
“Don't say it was an accident!”
I look out the window, hoping that he won't see my tears through the windows reflection.
“I was weak,” I whisper.
There’s silents for what feels like forever
When we finally made it to my home, I had invited Sam over for some dinner hoping he would forget about what we had been talking about before, but he had declined without a second thought.
That night I had done my homework, and tried my best to ignore my brothers staring. But the fact that he was staring at the bump on my forehead was giving me a headache.
So Decided to go to bed early in hopes of dodging his questions.
