Dasnir yawned. He rubbed his eyes, and looked at Rae and then Fulbrik and then back to Rae.
"Who are you?" He said, sounding a bit groggy. "Fulbrik, where are we and why is there an Ishtari sitting in bed with me?"
The aggressive nature that had been present in the Prince's voice last night was gone, but there was still something abrasive about his demeanor. Rae looked at him almost hurt that he didn't seem to remember how he helped last night.
"You're an Ishtari..." He looked at Rae for the second time. "... and you're a Male?" Dasnir's expression suddenly turned pale and somewhat awkward. "Fulbrik, I didn't sleep with him did I?" The young Asgeeri Prince seemed quite flustered at the realization of what his bed-mate was, and reached up to touch his face.
"It would appear not Your Highness. He seems to actually be an Ishtari-Human Hybrid, though curiously he was unaware of this fact." Fulbrik then noticed his Master's slightly pained expression.
"Fear not, Young Master, your mask is still intact. I too thought this Ishtari boy removed it at first; however, I can assure you he is quite innocent. And I have checked, your mask is still preserved and remains in stealth mode." The Guardian gave a minuscule smirk as he reinforced the idea of Rae's apparent virginity for the third time.
The Guardian seemed like a mostly stoic giant, and the Prince appeared rather frigid and stern, but there were some small hints here and there which resembled normal human-like emotions. Rae thought this kind of muted-demeanor seemed rather foreign feeling, almost as if it were unnatural to the Aliens.
Fulbrik continued his reassurances to the Prince. "He claims to have helped you out of your escape-craft last night when you were injured and disoriented. I already took the liberty of inspecting your wounds, as well as detonating the remnants of the escape-craft last night. It did take me several hours to track you to this location; this Ishtari is rather light footed. But you appear to have regenerated fully already, Your Highness." The Guardian kneeled to his master, as if he were delivering a formal briefing.
At this point Dasnir snarled, almost like a wild animal, and kicked Rae off the bed. "Don't ever touch me again." He snapped, as if Rae's presence was intolerable. "I will forgive you this once, because you helped me." He gave a cold and distant expression, and then looked away from his ejected bed-mate.
"Hey jerk!" Rae exclaimed, and threw the pillow they had been sharing at his face. "What the hell was that for? You're literally the worst at receiving help, you know! First you went psycho and tried to slit my throat, when I saved you from suffocating; and now, you're kicking me out of my own damn bed, which I shared with you last night because you couldn't walk on your own! Asshole..."
Dasnir glanced back at Rae for a brief second, and gave a tiny muted frown like he was recalling a sad memory. "I apologize, I did not realize you had helped me in that way, it seems I am indebted to you... but do not touch me again." He said, as he callously looked away from Rae's annoyed face. "What is your name boy who helped me?"
"My name is Rae. And you know, I forgive you too, but you could have just asked me to get up. You guys are really fucking aggressive has anyone ever told you that?"
"Do you have food in this place? I am quite hungry." Dasnir held his gurgling stomach, seemingly disregarding the annoyed cat's complaint.
"Yeah I'm hungry too, now that you mention it. But it'd be better if we didn't eat here. I'll take you to Velma's Diner. They have great pancakes. Wait here I have to go get some cash since a certain asshole stole what was in my wallet yesterday. I'll be right back, don't leave the shed."
Dasnir and Fulbrik nodded complacently, as Rae leapt up at the drooling thought of Velma's buttermilk pancakes. The cat-eared boy hurried out the door into the mid-morning sun, tail following and swishing behind, to go retrieve the money required to feed an Alien Prince and his very Alien Guardian.
"What is a 'Cash'?" Dasnir asked, as Rae closed the door.
"I have not the slightest idea, Young Master, this world is very strange."
