Monster Idol.

Monster Idol Part 3.

Monster Idol Part 3.

Aug 04, 2020

Elon, with feigned humility, then speaks directly to the camera, before switching to the following library. He reminds viewers that the show isn't just about monsters, it's also about them. As Elon subsequently announces an interval game, where an audience member can win a prize.

"But who's it going to be?" He eagerly declares as the audience starts to cheer.

A random spotlight suddenly sweeps through the enthusiastic audience from above. The light then comes to a stop, hovering over an innocent-looking young boy, who stands up with the encouragement of his overjoyed and slightly unhinged mother, as he runs towards the stage.

Elon greets the boy and asks him his name and how old he was. He replies his name is Winston, and he's 10 years old. The audience reacts with an aww. Elon next queries Winston if he would like to play a game and win a prize. With excitement, Winston nods his head. As the staff takes him off-stage to prepare for the challenge. Elon next explains the game to viewers, which is called 'Driving Miss Daisy'.

Where Winston must control a car bearing an elderly woman (Miss Daisy). The objective is to 'kill' her by wrecking the car in the most destructive way possible over an assault course. If he succeeds, Winston wins a prize. If 'Miss Daisy' survives, he receives nothing. Viewers watch the large studio screen as it unveils a car with an unsuspecting elderly lady sitting inside it.

Winston subsequently walks back on stage carrying a remote control device, as he's placed in front of the TV screen by staff. Elon next asks him if he's prepared for the challenge. Winston with a beaming smile on his face replies with a nod.

Elon then initiates the game, as Winston focuses on the TV screen. With the remote-controlled device in his hand and a ruthless look on his face, he races the car over the assault course, trying to cause as much damage as possible. Ramming the car into anything he could, as the elderly woman inside the vehicle screams in terror.

The car rolls over a couple of times appearing too damaged to continue. Winston then hits the remote control as he regains command of it. Struggling to kill 'Miss Daisy', Winston maneuvers the car towards a high ramp, driving the car off the top of it. The car flies through the air before nosediving. As it crashes, rolling along the ground before catching fire, with drones putting out the flames.

The studio screen cuts to a pale man wearing a black suit and bowler hat, who walks over to the car and inspects the remains of the vehicle, checking the pulse of the elderly woman's hand, which can be seen from the mangled wreckage. With Winston and the audience looking on in nervous anticipation. The man with an emotionless look on his face makes a throat-slitting gesture to the camera, indicating the elderly woman was 'dead'.

Elon raises his arms with the audience cheering, as Winston hugs Elon who gives him his prize. Winston then runs back to his seat and is hugged by his thrilled mother. Elon next announces a sudden break, and he would see the viewers again in a few minutes. Matt, Simon, Clarke & Dean are left speechless and weren't sure whether to laugh or throw up.

"Was that for real?" Asks Dean.

They were unsettled by what they had just observed, even though they were informed it's 'all staged'.

They directly approach Elon, as he signs autographs and poses for pictures. He declares.

"This is the ultimate viewing experience like no other, as it presents viewers the chance to indulge their inner monster." Elon was very aloof and admitted the show wasn't to everyone's taste.

As he walks off-stage, he says, "The show was good for the country, providing hope to people. Because they don't believe in heroes anymore, but they do believe in monsters!"

Matt, Simon, Clarke & Dean are then escorted out of the studio. And are taken to a luxury hotel paid for by the show. They still weren't sure what to make of the events they just witnessed. So, they decided to dismiss it for the moment. But Matt & Simon still wanted to dig deeper, to find out how the games essentially work, which the staff from the show refuse to divulge.
