The noise of people shouting and placing bets grew as they moved closer to the ring. The main room held one single ring or should he say cage, in the center. A metal chain fencing keeping the fighters contained and away from the crowd.
Asher heard years back there wasn't a cage but just the ring a fighter went rogue and attacked some of the clients. That wasn't a good look for Shaw, taking a hit in the wallet that evening and a few fights after, till security was changed.
The clients are mostly of the illegal kind as well, drug dealers, gang members, body sellers. There were also the outliers as well, those being the dirty cop or local politician.
Asher stuck close to Shaw as he moved through the back halls going down one he's never been to before a bit of fear growing in him.
"Stop." Commanded Shaw turning to look back at Asher, "You know how I feel about that scent."
Fear gave off a sour taste to most Alpha's, in a normal case one's alpha would work to change that scent by comforting or stopping whatever was causing the omega to feel that way. Shaw tended to just impose more fear.
"You know I wouldn't bring any harm to you." Shaw spoke, eyeing Asher lifting his chin up with two fingers, "You cost too much to me to do something like that."
Shaw reached the end of the long hallway where he unlocked the last door, motioning Asher to go first. The room was dark smelling of anger and blood, Asher really didn't want to step in. Getting a hard nudge from Shaw as he flicked on the light tripping over his footing as he went forward.
A hard growl bouncing off the four walls, the sound of metal chains being pulled tight with rage as the male lunged forward striking fear in Asher instantly, stumbling back into Shaw who caught him from falling completely.
Asher's heart pounding hard against his chest, as he looked in fear.
Shaw laughed heavily, leaning down over him lacing his strong arms over his small frame.
"He's chained up, can't get to you even if he wanted too." Shaw knew it wasn't Asher he was after but him, "He's hurt and upset now but that will soon change."
The alpha roared with another fear placing growl. Asher had never seen an alpha so heated and ready to rip someone apart. Shaw was not intimidated at all moving close to the other male, looking him dead in the eyes for a moment before he turned his back on him.
"Theon here is going to be my new prize fighter for a while." Smirking showing off his perfectly placed teeth.
"That's where I need you, my special one." Shaw tilted Asher's chin up once again, pulling his attention back to him where he wanted it.
"I need you to prepare him for his first fight. Alpha week is next week and I plan to have him shown then."
"I can't . . " was all Asher got out before Shaw backhanded him across the face, stuttering him back a few steps.
"You know better than to even dare to think of saying no to me." Shaw growled, "I thought you knew better by now."
Asher holding his hot red cheek with the palm of his hand, whimpering.
"Don't worry will keep him medicated till he comes to terms with his new arrangements, but for your sake that better be sooner than later because he will be ready for Friday."
Shaw moved aside, no longer blocking Asher's view of the other male, who was still pulling against his restraints and growling.
"Theon you're in good hands, I wouldn't trust just anyone with my new money maker."
