[Zephyr's pov]
It was too quiet downstairs. I had already strictly told Jason to inform the omega never to step a foot upstairs. It seemed like he obeyed the rules, and that made me feel good.
I walked down the stairs and looked around. It looked like he wasn't home. Probably went out with his friends or something. A smile traced my lips. I took out my phone and called my beloved Vanessa.
"Hello, babe!" She greeted me with her usual sweet tone. I grinned like an idiot as soon as her voice reached my ears.
"Hey, hun. Are you free right now? Wanna come over to my new house?" I asked with an excited voice. She gasped in disbelief.
"You bought a new house?!"
"Nah... Granddad gave it to me as a present." Present for what? I didn't want even to remember that. "So... I'm kinda alone right now... and I thought I'd give a tour." I tried to lure her with a low, sexy voice. I knew she loved that voice.
She giggled in delight. "Only a tour?"
"I could give you another tour of my body if you like..." I smirked.
She loved it. A sweet, honey-like laugh escaped her mouth. "I could never refuse that," she said with a cute, nasally voice.
"Then, you go and change. I'll arrive in 30 minutes."
The phone call ended. A smirk lingered on my mouth as I imagined what we would do during her stay. I hoped that the omega wouldn't come home at all tonight. I didn't care if he was out spending the night out, screwing someone or something. Better yet, if he never comes home forever. Although I highly doubted that.

[An's pov]
It was so peaceful and serene. After I let the window open, a gentle breeze blew in, stroking my damp skin. I had just come out of the shower to wash away the sweat that was smearing my body. It was summer, so it was hot outside. However, the house was located up on the hill, far from the burning asphalt. The breeze was also nice and refreshing.
Because this area was located a little far from the city, there was no sound pollution that I was familiar with. This house was also surrounded by greenery and big trees, which helped to protect this house from the direct hit of the blazing sunlight.
Long story short, I liked it here. If someone asked me what good came out of this marriage, I would say that this is it. This peace, this tranquillity.
The silence and refreshing breeze made me drowsy. When my consciousness was drifting off, I was suddenly jolted out of my sleep. My ears caught the muffled voices of someone who were talking and laughing. It was loud enough to startle me. I slowly rose from the bed and went to the door. I carefully peeled the door open. And then, I saw something.
Someone, actually. There was a figure that I recognised and a voluptuous alpha female; both of them were sitting on the couch in the living room, and one person was on top of the other. I clearly saw that the man I married just a few days ago was now making out with an unknown woman.
I sighed in frustration. Even if he didn't want this marriage, even if he hated me, he shouldn't have brought a woman inside a place where his wife was currently living and making out with another girl when he was home. It was rude and disrespectful. I closed the door slowly and walked to my bed without making a sound.
I pressed my rear end on the soft mattress and lay down in exhaustion. Did he marry me when he already had a girlfriend? Was that why he hated me so much? That... actually made sense. That was why he threatened me not to tell anybody about our marriage.
"Haa... Now I feel bad. Should I fix him dinner later?" I mumbled.
He could just tell me if he had someone else. Or, just tell his grandfather. The couple seemed into each other. I remembered how passionate they were when they were in each other's arms. Their laughs seemed genuine.
Ha... I feel bad. I felt so bad that my heart hurt.
No. I was jealous. I thought that he was a nice guy. He was so nice to me when we first met. Was that an act? If that was an act... It hurts.
"So much for giving love a chance..."

Months before the marriage:
"There's someone here for you," an omega called for me and pointed to the manager's office. I turned my head in the direction she was pointing at. After saying thank you, I quickly went to the office. I knocked on the door, carefully turned the knob, and opened the door after I received permission.
There was Ms Moon, Beth and a well-dressed guy in the room. I sat on a single chair between the alpha and Ms Moon after she asked me to sit with a serious expression on her face. Ms Moon introduced me to the guy, Brian.
I had seen this guy before. He was the butler for one of the employers for my part-time work. His master was a man in his 80's, talkative and kind. I was hired as a caretaker to nurse him, but he didn't let me do anything except stay by his side, listening to his stories.
"He came here to buy you," Ms Moon started before I quickly interjected her.
"No, thank you."
She sighed in frustration. "Listen to me first before interrupting me, please."
An amused laugh blurted out from Brian's mouth. Ms Moon helplessly rubbed her face while letting out a long sigh once again. Brian turned to me while smiling wide; clearly, he was still amused by what happened.
"Do you still remember me, An?"
I nodded my head. Of course, I still remember you. My last visit was just a month ago. It wasn't like I had a very weak memory.
"Master Blakesley was looking for you," he continued while staring at me with a pair of relieved eyes.
"I did tell him that I was quitting. Did he forget that?" I tilted my head slightly in confusion.
"He was worried because you abruptly quitted. He thought that something bad had happened to you. Turned out, he was right."
A small sigh slipped out of the middle age man's lips.
"So, I'm here to help you settle your debt and to pick you up, as Master's order." Brian's mouth was talking so fluently that I almost thought he had memorised all those words on the way here.
"I don't need your help. I'm fine here-"
"Let's face it, An. You're not going anywhere with the way you did your job until now. It is better for you to receive all the help you can get gratefully. The customers have already hated you, and I don't want you to destroy Little Jasmine's reputation anymore," Ms Moon bluntly said that to my face.
I knew my actions for the past month had brought troubles for Little Jasmine. Even Mr Foster, as the owner of this place, had heard about that. I felt bad that I had always created trouble for Ms Moon, but sometimes my body had already acted before my mind could think of anything.
Sick of thinking, I nodded my head. Brian's face lightened up while Ms Moon and Beth smiled in relief. "But, what's the deal?" I asked warily. There was no way that someone would willingly want to help without something to exchange. Brian smirked in amusement.
"You're really quick to catch." He was pleased with my answer. "He needs you to marry his grandson."
"Excuse me?"
