Checking on my alarm clock, I knew that it was time for me to go. It was still 3 am and this time probably will be early for others especially to all the 'Normies' out there, but for me who can be considered as a NEET, this is just nothing, especially for days like this. Finally, Comiket is within my grasp.
My room, which you can also say as my sanctuary, is of course tidy as usual. I never fail to clean my room and the house every other day since that is the only thing, I can do to be useful. I also made sure that today, my schedule will be free so that I can also focus on the event itself. After getting up on my bed, I folded my sheets and arranged everything in my room before going to our bathroom. Of course, my family knows that I will be gone early in the morning so I was already asked to prepare breakfast last night so that they can just heat it in the microwave once they woke up.
Once I reached the bathroom, I quickly finished brushing my teeth and properly rinse my mouth. Of course, I cannot forget to take a dump so that I will not be stuck in the middle of the line during Comiket with soil in my pants. I already have a packed breakfast to eat on my way to the venue. The money that I earned and saved from last year is already packed in my wallet and in-case I need some more; I already brought my debit card alongside my railway pass.
"Everything's with me. I guess I can go now, right?"
And yes, that is me again, talking to myself.
I quietly went out of our house and make my way to my destination. I have been walking for around 10 minutes and I think I will be nearing to my first stop. As far as I can remember, I must walk until I make it to Toyo 5-Chome and wait for a bus to arrive. Figuring out where should I go takes a lot of toll in me, fortunately, I can use my phone to direct me to where I should go.
"Speaking of my phone, did I check on it if I have it with me?" I asked myself while walking on the quiet road of Koto.
I quickly scan through my things and failed to see where my phone is.
"Damn it, of all the things that I will forget." I cursed myself for forgetting the thing I should not forget.
Well, it cannot be helped then. I will not go back to my house just to get my phone. Aside from taking directions, there really is no purpose for me to bring my phone since no one will contact me anyways. So, I decided to continue with my journey and hopefully, I will be able to ask people for directions.
On my way of searching for my bus stop, I tried approaching people that are passing by me, but due to my low charisma, no one really bothered talking to me because the only people on the streets at this hour are those who stayed late for their work, people who are in a hurry to go to their workplace, and people whom you don't want to get yourself involved with.
Despite getting lost in the city, I grew up in, there is one person that caught my attention. In the middle of this hour, a kid is out in public when they should be sleeping. What's wrong with parents nowadays? Thankfully, my parents are not as scum as this one who just leaves their child going outside this early in the morning without any chaperon going out with them.
The kid was a girl who I think is around the age of an elementary student. She is standing right before the street light and she is wearing a weird magical girl outfit. I think this little girl intends to go to Comiket too but was not allowed by her parents because it is too early. Yes, that is understandable, but letting this happen is a bad way of parenting your child, ma'am, and sir. Well, who am I to judge them since all I do is stay indoors all the time. Not like I will understand the behavior of normies just because I go outdoors now and then.
"Hi, little miss. Are you going to Comiket too?" I approached the kid with an innocent smile on my face.
"Tch. Yes, I am going to Comiket, you creep." she responded to my question with a rude attitude.
I guess I am spot on. She was raised in a bad household, she cannot even respect her elders. I think I should teach this kid a lesson. Yes, that will be for her good too so I should teach her the right ways before she becomes fully corrupted.
"You know little miss, it is rude to speak that way to your elders. Also, I think you should not go outside by yourself in this hour." I responded to her rude response earlier with a suppressed smile on my face.
"You know, you should stop talking to me with that 'little miss' way of describing me. And also, I know where I should go so stop bothering me, you creep. Or what? Do you want me to call the police to catch you here and now?" she continued her rude response to me.
"You talk like an old lady, don't you think?" I murmur to myself.
Never have I thought that she will hear my murmur, the next thing that happened will be something that I did not expect to happen ever in my life.
"Of course I am. For your information, I am already 20 years old." she proudly claims.
Gah! Did she say that she is a 20-year-old? Someone older than me? She might think she can fool me, but I am not falling for that, little miss. You must show me your ID first or else, I will not believe it.
At that time, the city is still quiet and it is still quite dark. I don't have more time to waste so I want this matter to be dealt with. If she is trying to fool me, I think I should think of ways to avoid her.
"If you do not believe me, here is my ID and my Driving License. I just don't want to bring my car to the event so I left it on my house," she said as she hands our her ID and license.
It is real. There's no way this is a fake ID. She really is 20 years old. Her name is Natsume Sakura, 20 years old, and she lives here in this city too. Well, the last part is to be expected since we are here in Koto, but what catches my eyes is that base on her ID, it seems like she lives next door to our home. Thankfully, she cannot recognize me. Well, that is already given since I never met her before.
I returned her ID and license, but as soon as reality hits me, I cannot believe that legal lolis do exist in real life. For some weird and unexplained reasons, after thinking of legal lolis existing, I subconsciously raised my arms, and a taxi stop in front of us. Really? A taxi will cost me a lot and I want to save money so that I can buy all things on my list.
