Colors of Freedom

Movie Night

Movie Night

Aug 18, 2020

It was already Monday. Time sure flies. At least it did for me I worked my ass of this weekend and was now a week ahead of my schedule. I might don’t like studying business but there is no way I would waste money and time without taking it serious. And I have to admit it was a good distraction. Today I would meet up with Yasmin to do a cozy movie night. On Thursday I will meet with Al to make her an present and in Saturday I will trow her a birthday party. Well at least if you could call, hanging out watching emotional anime and eating nothing else than snacks and fast food all day, a party.

Anyway we will do the movie night in my apartment cause Yasmin (sadly) studies in another city and doesn’t own an apartment here anymore. So when she comes over she visits her family one day and spends the rest of the time having around with me. This time though, her small brothers has their 18th Birthday thats why she will stay with her family almost all the time. Her Twin brothers were born two years two days and two hours after her. They always make fun how everything about them is related to two. Even though their twin brothers they don’t have the smallest thing in common. Till the younger one if them has black hair like his sister and Finn the older twin brother has red hair (No one knows were that genes come from though). Till is shy and a bookworm therefor Finn is loud and athletic.

They grow really dear to me. The whole family of my aunt and uncle were always so much more of a family to me than my parents. Even though I bonded with Yasmin the most because she’s more my age I really like all of them.

The twins celebrate there birthday on Wednesday and with that my week is almost full of plans. I still have to work but that just part-time. I thought looking into my black calendar designed from my favorite artist. I really feel in love with that calendar the first time I saw it. It was a simple but fascinating design.

I looked up from said calendar and open the door for Yasmin who just rang the bell.

„Hey Girl!“ I said happy. Or at least I tried to say it but Yasmin throwed me in such a tight hug that I couldn’t finish the greeting.

„Heyyy my boy!“ She mumbled in my shoulder.

„Get of! You're drooling.“ I said playfully.

She grimaced at me and said while she flipped me off: „I missed you too, honey!“

Laughing we went inside.

„Seriously?“ I asked her half a minute later in my room.

„What?“ Yasmin asked pouting.

„Yasmin… Why the hell did you bring three bags of crisps? I told you I bought snacks. How are we supposed to eat them all? Guurl.“

„Booooy“ Yasmin answered mocking my voice.

„Girl.“ I said now more serious, pointing on the mass of snacks in front of us. Not only potato chips also Pretzel Sticks, gummy bears, cookies and Marshmallows were scattered over the bed.

„For real that will just go to waste.“ I sighed.

Yasmin opened a bag of crisps and shoved a handful in here mouth. Ignoring my worries she said the mouth full of mashed chips:

„What? If you don’t want them I eat them.“

Sighing I gave in because it was too late anyway. With the still munching Yasmin next to me I opened my Lap Top and started the movie we both agreed to watch.

„So what’s going on?“ Yasmin asked as we made a toilet break half way through.

I looked at her questioning even though I knew exactly what she was going on about. It seems that she Knew that two as she rolled her eyes at me and poked me with her finger in my side.

„Ouch!“ I whined even though it wasn’t that bad. „You know what I mean!“ She said rubbing the spot she poked me at instinctively.

„Nothing is going on.“ I grumbled. That was a lie but I really didn’t want to talk about it and ruin the evening. Or night, I corrected my own thought as I looked on the clock who showed that It was already after 12am.

„You don’t have University tomorrow, do you?“ Yasmin who followed my gaze asked.

„No.“ I sighed afraid of where this conversation is going to lead.

Yasmin got quite the motherly instincts there ... :)
