Damn, everything was on fire. He was paralyzed, but...
Let's start at the beginning
Some are born with the talent to make their dreams come true and to be football players, to be policemen, firemen, programmers, etc. But some are not born with these talents, some will never be what they dream, what they wished for years and years...
Inside the room, doctors, devices, masks, utensils, smiles, cries and screams. It was a birth. A birth, the beginning of a story, the first waste of ink on the pen, the first letter on the paper. But outside the room, no one, no family, not even a father. There was no father. It was the beginning of a story, but there was a part missing. But it wasn't much of a problem, she was a wonderful mother, very caring, she did everything for him, for Yak.
When she was 4 she found some baseball balls, a glove, some pictures of pranks, and stadium souvenirs in a dusty drawer. It was your father's stuff, but he didn't know. Since then, Yak has fallen in love with baseball, knew everything from the rules to almost every player on every team in the country. When he was 8, he started taking classes, but he was the worst in school. Everyone laughed at him, made fun of him, mimicked his wrong moves.
From the age of 14, all his grades started to get worse, he couldn't pay attention in class anymore, just stepping in school, he already wanted to leave, he had few friends, but, he had his mother.
At 22, he worked in a supermarket nearby, earning a living on his own, and there was still some left to pay the house bills, helping his mother, leaving her a little less worried and stressed with work. Coming back from work, he would get dressed, get his things, and go out, towards a baseball stadium, to do a test.
A while later, he was on the street without expression. Looking at nothing, he had been rejected. He'd already been rejected at every other local club. It was his last chance. And he'd been rejected. He didn't even know what to say to his mother, the one who was most supportive of him.
Coming up the street from his house, smoke. He didn't know where he was coming from, so he started running. When he saw... it was fire. Everything was on fire.
