0 - Book included glorified sexual assault, glorified racism, was extremely homophobic and/or transphobic in nature, or included some other element that I am strongly opposed to and/or that is not allowed on Tapas. Remember these are reviews and my personal opinion so yeah, that shit's gonna get judged here. If I gave this out I probably also blacklisted you.

1 - I hated this. It had substantial flaws that made it unreadable. Would rather watch paint dry than subject myself to it again. Books in this category are probably not salvageable without a full rewrite and/or serious thought.

2 - Substantial flaws that made it unreadable, but had some kind of objective saving factor that made it not a one, such as a workable plot or correct spelling. Would not read again.

3 - Substantial flaws with some kind of major saving factor, and/or was readable. Stuff it's so bad it's good probably gets this score as well. Not torture but wouldn't read again.

4 - Did not enjoy. Substantial issues with quality and/or substance. Not a pleasant read, or wasn't up my alley. Wouldn't continue past parts that are listed, may or may not have read the entire thing.

5 - Meh. It was a book. Minor and/or fixable issues with plot development, or book with decent plot development that has a substantial amount of spelling/grammar issues. Probably wouldn't continue to read past current parts.

6 - Either I enjoyed it and it had some flaws, or I didn't enjoy it very much. Books with a lot of plot holes that are otherwise fun usually go in this category. May or may not continue to read on.

7 - Books I enjoyed that could use a lot of polish. Really good first drafts and/or books that need adjustment in order to be publishable, but are still very good reads usually go here. Usually I would continue to read books with this score.

8 - Minor developmental issues and/or needs first pass edits. Almost always would continue to read and/or couldn't put it down.

9 - Near-perfect, but needs minor editing. Usually books won't get this score unless I actually read the entire thing, with very rare exceptions for books that are not yet complete.

10 - Couldn't put it down. Ready for publication. No substantial flaws I could find.
