It was a stressful day back at the Brothel. Adelena was angry with him for disappearing again and he didn’t really want to tell her why he’d been gone for so long. He didn’t trust her and to be honest, he really didn’t like her either.
“Do you have any idea how many lies I’ve had to tell because of you?” She yelled as he walked through the door. “You’ve been nothing but trouble lately, and the only reason I’m keeping you here is that you’re so damn popular! Don’t expect any payment for the next couple of weeks! Maybe that’ll teach you a lesson.”
“Whatever.” Dashiell sneered. He didn’t need money anymore, so she could keep it all for all he cared.
“Pelias is waiting for you in room four.” She said before turning her back on him. Dammit! He still had to do him a few favors after covering up for him. Luckily he never wanted to fuck him, he had a wife for that, he just wanted him to suck his dick. Dashiell considered asking Isandros to deal with it so he wouldn’t have to be with him anymore, but he could never beg that man for anything. If Isandros did him a favor he’d probably expect one to be returned.
He took a deep breath before walking into the room with his typical flirting smile on his lips. “You’ve been waiting for me I hear.” He flirted.
“No talking. Just get on your knees.” Pelias said. Just get it over with! He thought to himself as he crossed the room and went down on his knees. Pelias was being rougher than usual; he fucked his throat until tears were running down his face. He was gagging, and when he tried to pull away Pelias only thrust in deeper. The grip on the back of his head was so tight that it hurt, and he felt an urge to just bite down to make him stop. It felt like abuse. He was getting used to the thought of a life away from all of this, and it just made his job harder. Normally he wouldn’t care at all, but now he felt disgusted with himself. Pelias came down his throat without warning, and Dashiell was close to throwing up. Great start on the day! He thought as he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand.
Pelias didn’t say anything. He just pulled his pants up and left the room before Dashiell even had a chance to stand up again.
“Well, you’re welcome.” He mumbled as he walked over to the bed to sit down.
He hid his face in his hands and let out a deep breath. He wanted so badly to just run away and never do this again. But if he did run he wouldn’t be free. He would have to do this to survive no matter where he went.
Three other clients came to see him before Barret finally showed up. He was sore and tired since they hadn’t been particularly gentle with him, but he had to pretend that everything was fine.
“You disappeared again,” Barret said as he walked into the room, closing the door behind him.
“I’m sorry.” Dashiell walked over to him and began kissing his throat. “It won’t happen again.” Barret pushed him gently away and looked him up and down.
“Did something happen?”
“What?” Dashiell said. “No, I just felt a bit tired, that’s all. But I’m back again. It’s nothing to worry about.” He liked how worried Barret was, but it couldn’t distract him. Barret was just a client… nothing else.
“Sure?” Barret asked with a raised eyebrow, but Dashiell ignored him as he began opening his own shirt, letting it fall off his shoulders slowly, and Barret eyed his every move, biting his lip a little. He leaned in and began kissing his throat again while taking Barret’s hand and pressed it to the front of his pants. The pressure against his cock was making him hard, and Barret started to rub it through the thick fabric of his pants.
“How do you want me today?” He whispered in his ear while Barret began to open Dashiell’s pants. “On the bed? Bend over the table? Against the wall?” He ran his hands up and down Barret’s chest before beginning to open his shirt.
“How do you want it?” Barret whispered in his ear as he pulled Dashiell’s pants down to right above his knees.
“Oh, this isn’t about me. I’ll do whatever you want me to do.” Dashiell stepped back and took off his pants, allowing Barret to look at his body. He liked how turned on it made him. After gaining more muscles Dashiell knew he looked much more attractive than ever and he enjoyed how it made others look at him. He was standing naked before him, while Barret was still fully dressed, except for his undone shirt.
He grabbed Dashiell’s wrist and pulled him closer, but the touch made Dashiell flinch. His wrists were still sore, and any pressure against them made him pull away. Barret looked confused before settling his eyes on his wrists. His eyes widened as he inspected them closer.
“Did you-” Barret was looking at him, eyes filled with concern. “Did something happen to you again?”
“It’s nothing! Let’s not talk about that. It’s not what you’ve paid for.” Dashiell tried to lean in to kiss his neck, but Barret wasn’t having it. He walked over to the bed and grabbed the blanket and wrapped it around Dashiell’s naked body. “sit!” He ordered, nodding towards the bed and Dashiell obeyed. “You did that yourself?” He asked as he sat down beside him.
“It’s nothing… don’t worry about it.” He said with a weak smile.
“It is something! What happened?” Barret took his hand and caressed it gently. Dashiell loved how the touch felt against his skin and he looked Barret deep into the eyes.
“It was a moment of weakness… nothing more. But I’m fine now.” He said.
“Did someone hurt you again?”
“No. No one touched me. I just… I don’t know. As I said, it was just a moment of weakness. A lot of things had happened throughout my life, and I guess everything just collapsed around me. But I’m fine now.”
“It’s your job, right? It’s killing you.” Barret laid an arm around Dashiell’s waist and pulled him a little closer.
“It’s okay. It’s the only thing I know how to do.” Dashiell shrugged and leaned in closer to Barret. He wanted to rest his head against his shoulder and tell him everything, but he stopped himself. He hated that he was being so kind to him because it made everything even worse. He did like the thought of having to kill someone in general, but how would he be able to take the life of someone who actually tried to be kind to him.
“I don’t believe that.” He said, “If it’ll help I can stop coming?” He suggested and the panic started to rise his stomach.
“No!” He yelled. That couldn’t happen. He needed Barret! “I don’t want you to stop.” He took Barret’s hand and entwined their fingers. “You are the only one here I actually like.” And that’s not even a lie!
“You shouldn’t be doing this at all.” He said and pulled his hand away.
“Look, I’m okay. I’m fine with this job. It was all just a moment of weakness.” Dashiell pleaded. His heart was beating faster than ever. He didn’t know what would happen to him if Barret decided to stay away. Isandros might pretend to be kind now, but he wouldn’t hesitate to have him executed if he couldn’t use him. “Let’s just pretend like none of this happened, okay?” He pressed his hand against the front of Barret’s pants as he leaned in closer to whisper in his ear. “I like it when it’s with you.” Barret closed his eyes and took a deep breath. “I really want you.” He continued as he opened his pants slowly. He let the blanket slip off his shoulders to allow Barret to look at him. Barret shook his head, but he didn’t stop him as he pulled his pants down and began sucking his dick. Barret laid back on the bed and covered his eyes with his arms while letting Dashiell suck him off. Normally Dashiell didn’t enjoy giving blowjobs, but it was different from Barret. He loved playing with him, teasing him with his tongue, and hearing how his breathing would change.
“Fuck.” Barret moaned as Dashiell was taking all of him in his mouth. He couldn’t help but smile. He liked it when they confirmed him of how good he was. His tongue would lick the length slowly, teasing the slit before taking all of him in his mouth again, and Barret would moan every time.
“Do you like it?” Dashiell whispered before letting his tongue play gently with the head.
“Yes,” Barret said as he ran his hands through Dashiell’s hair.
“Do you want to fuck me now?” He asked, looking up to see how Barret was watching him. He didn’t answer. He just grabbed Dashiell gently and made him lay on the bed. As a reflex, he turned around to lay on his stomach, but Barret stopped him.
“No, lay on your back.” He said quietly. Dashiell nodded and turned around, spreading his legs to allow Barret between them. He was studying Dashiell’s naked body before leaning down to press a kiss to Dashiell’s chest. It felt so good to be kissed like that. Barret grabbed the oil on the bedside table and applied it before settling down on top of Dashiell, pressing himself slowly into him. Dashiell clenched his eyes shut. It was hurting. Not because he wasn’t ready, but because he’d been fucked roughly too many times already. He tried to control his breathing, to look like he was enjoying it, but he was failing miserably and Barret noticed it, so he just pulled out and began dressing.
“No, wait.” Dashiell said as he tried to pull him back to bed. “don’t go.”
“Dashiell, you’re hurt.” He said “I’m not going to do something that will hurt you even more. You are not ready for it.”
“Please.” He begged, “I just need to get used to it.”
“No!”
“Please, please don’t leave. I’m sorry. I can still make it good for you.” His whole body was shaking with panic. Barret couldn’t leave. He needed him. He tried to collect himself, tried to stop himself from crying, but he couldn’t. “Please, don’t go.” He sobbed.
When Barret was fully dressed, he sat down beside him again and pulled him close, which wasn’t was Dashiell was expecting.
“Breath!” He whispered and caressed his back. “It’s okay. don’t panic. I just don’t want to do something that’ll hurt you.”
“But it’s okay. I’ve had worse. Just… just give me a chance to prove it.”
“You don’t have anything to prove.” He said quietly.
“Don’t leave. Don’t stop coming… I need you.” He sobbed. I need you because I’ll die if you leave! Barret pulled away and stood up. He grabbed Dashiell’s clothes from the floor and handed it to him.
“Get dressed.” He said with a smile.
“No, don’t leave! Please.” Dashiell cried.
“I’m not just leaving. I’m taking you with me.” He said and crossed his arms over his chest, waiting for Dashiell to get ready.
“What? Where?” Dashiell looked up and dried his eyes with the back of his hand before accepting his clothes.
“You need to get out for a while. To get some fresh air. So, come on.” He leaned up against the wall and smiled at him.
“But, that’s not what you paid-” Dashiell began, but he got interrupted.
“Don’t even say that. Just get up.” Dashiell took a deep breath as he began dressing again. Barret was just looking at him with a sweet smile on his face, which made him look so much more attractive. Don’t get distracted!
When he was dressed Barret opened the door, laid a hand on the small of Dashiell’s back, and led him out of the room.
They were about to exit the brothel as Adelena stopped them.
“Where do you think you’re going?” She sneered.
“He’s coming with me,” Barret said and stared angrily at her.
“No, he isn’t! He’s got work to do!” She wasn’t letting herself get intimidated by Barret at all, which Dashiell admired. No matter who they were she’d never let them win.
“fine,” Barret said angrily. Dashiell's stomach hurt by the thought of Barret leavening him behind, but instead, he handed Adelena a big stack of money and looked her straight into the eyes. “That should be enough for the next couple of days, don’t you think?”
“You don’t have to-” Dashiell said but Barret stopped him.
“well?” He kept starring at Adelena, who looked between Barret, Dashiell, and the big bundle of money in her hands. He knew that she didn’t think Dashiell was worth that much, but he couldn’t care less about her opinion.
“Very well.” She said and walked away.
Dashiell opened and closed his mouth a couple of times, but no words came out. Barret led him outside, his arm was wrapped loosely around Dashiell’s waist like he was trying to protect him.
“Why did you do that?” Dashiell whispered.
“Because it’s what you need. Are you hungry?” He asked with a smile.
“A bit,” Dashiell said. He had no idea where Barret was taking him, or why he did it. Why would he care so much? It doesn’t make any sense. Dashiell was supposed to stay at the brothel so the guards would be able to keep an eye on him, but he couldn’t say no. He came so close to scare Barret away in the first place, so he needed to do whatever Barret wanted him to do to make sure he wouldn’t stop seeing him.
They walked in silence until they reached the local inn. Dashiell knew that place better than most people since it was a lot of clients’ favorite place to bring him. He was convinced that Barret would rent a room for them, to keep him there for the next couple of days since he already paid for it, and fuck him senseless. That’s what anyone else would’ve done.
He led Dashiell into the restaurant and made him find a table while he’d order the food.
He sat down next to a window, looking out at all the people walking around outside. He wondered how it would feel like to be free like them. What it would be like to have a normal job, a normal life. Maybe even a normal family to come home to.
Barret came back and sat down opposite him.
“Is this okay?” He asked with a little smile.
“Yes. It’s really kind of you. You did not have to do this at all.’’ Dashiell said quietly. Their eyes locked and Dashiell felt a shiver run down his spine. It wasn’t in a bad way, but it was something he hadn’t felt before and he didn’t know what was happening to him. It all felt so new... so forbidden.
“You needed a break and I’m happy to give it to you,” Barret said it as if it was the most normal thing in the entire world, still looking Dashiell in the eyes. For the first time, Dashiell noticed how beautiful his eyes really were. They were such a deep brown and they looked just as kind as Averet’s eyes did. He couldn’t imagine that Barret would be able to kill anyone, not with those eyes. He didn’t look like a killer. He looked like a completely normal guy. Barret was so beautiful and Dashiell wanted to spend hours just looking at him.
“You are being too kind to me,” Dashiell whispered. “You don’t have to, but you still are… why?”
“I don’t really know.” He said. “There’s just something about you.” And those words made Dashiell blush. What the hell is happening? He thought to himself when he felt his cheeks burn. He needed to gain back control and he needed to start focusing on his job because this was getting ridicules. I think I’m falling in love with the bad guy in this fairytale.
