- Arthur POV -
It was like I was living that dream all over again, the ceiling was moving - no wait. I was moving. I was lying flat on my back on what I assumed was a hospital bed (which was given away by the three or four people pushing me around in their typical dress.) They seemed to be talking quietly to one another, maybe they didn't notice I was awake.
We were in what seemed like a hurry, I had past well over a dozen wards since my eyes adjusted to the lights. There was one woman right above me, she looked as though she was in charge as she began to bark out orders to the people she passed.
I tried to lift my hands but they were tied down. That's weird I thought to myself as I tried to lift myself, all I could hear was the clanging on some type of metal. I tried my best to pull loose but nothing would budge, I was well and truly stuck.
As we went onwards down what seemed like an endless hallway, I noticed that this was one weird hospital. There were no other patients and lots of armed guards. It felt more like a laboratory than a hospital that cared for the sick.
That thought process didn't help, I started to panic and fidget a lot. I put all the effort I could in to try to free myself. A surge of energy travelled down my right arm and the ring lit up blue, I pulled as hard as I could and the whole bed went onto its side, sending the two on my left flying into the nearby wall - they went straight through as though it was drywall but shards of brick have flung around into the hallway.
I used my free hand to get myself off the bed. It took a lot of energy but I managed to find the way to my feet. I wiped the dust off my eyes and looked around, not a good idea, a least ten armed guards stood around me barking commands and aiming their automatic weapons at me.
I was in shock, I mean what does one do when he's seventeen and has armed men and women shouting at him. I went to go on my knees but my body physically wouldn't let me. It was like I was fighting with someone in my head.
"Until the lambs become lions" That's all I could hear, as though the old man was embedded in my mind. What I didn't expect was to look down and find the sword I yanked from the pedestal in my arm.
Bang A bullet came flying towards me in what seemed like slow motion, I raised the sword at the bullet and a small explosion rang off the edge of my sword as the bullet was deflected and hit a guy to my right. He didn't get back up... I HAD JUST KILLED A MAN... Well, I guess I didn't.
All of a sudden the blade seemed to take control, I dashed towards a man directly in front of me and removed the hand holding the trigger on his weapon. Still, in slow motion, I began to disfigure all the guards, one by one, I couldn't control it. I was fighting every way I could to put an end to the massacre but it wouldn't stop. What could I do?
I got to the last woman, raised my sword and then I heard a voice ring down the halls.
"Arthur! What the fuck is going on?" It was Niamh, she was in shock, tears were crawling down her face - slowly forming a river of sadness.
I couldn't talk. Even though I wanted to. It was like I was a passenger in my own body. I fought it, I started screaming. The last woman looked directly into my eyes shivering from the fear, I (or the one in control) raised the sword - she pushed her hand out in front of her as though it would stop the blade from slicing through her. She dropped to the floor, leaking with her blood.
I had just committed a massacre.
