Seri nervously stood in front of Richard’s apartment door and wished he’d had a few more drinks. He’d stopped back at the office just long enough to look up Richard’s address before going directly there, determined not to put off the conversation he knew he should have. Even as he rode the elevator up to the 21st floor of the highrise apartment complex Richard had listed as his address, it felt like the right decision. But when the elevator doors opened, he felt his courage waver.
What if he isn’t home? He did say he’d be on vacation. What if he won’t speak to me? Or what if someone else is there? Seri nervously twisted his coat in his arms. Deep breaths. He raised his hand and knocked quietly. He waited. Five seconds. Ten. Twenty. I knew it. I was so stupid to think…
The door opened, revealing Richard, hair loose and flowing down his back, wearing a soft yukata and a shocked expression on his face. If Seri wouldn’t have been so nervous, he would have savored seeing the normally unflappable Richard with such a vulnerable expression.
“Seri, are you alright? What are you…? Why…?”
“Richard, I’m…” Seri’s voice caught. Not good. “I’m…” Seri swallowed. “Richard, I’m sorry! I’m so sorry. For everything. Please-!”
Seri was cut off as Richard grabbed his arm and tugged him inside. The door barely clicked shut and then Richard was holding Seri and kissing him. Seri paused for just a moment before he threw his arms over Richard’s shoulders and kissed him back. Richard laughed delightedly and lifted Seri up until his toes no longer touched the floor. Seri melted against Richard as their tongues met, and he tasted the salt of his tears as they finally started to fall.
When Richard placed Seri back on the ground and drew his face back, Seri sheepishly reached up to wipe away his tears that had fallen down on Richard’s face as they kissed. His hand froze half way up when he realized that the shine on Richard’s face hadn’t come from Seri’s tears at all. As he stared, another tear welled up in Richard’s eye and slowly slid down his cheek.
“Richard, I…”
Richard took Seri’s hovering hand and kissed his fingertips. “I’m so happy to see you. I’m so sorry, will you forgive me?”
“Forgive you? Richard, you’ve done nothing wrong!”
“I ran away. I saw you were struggling and it hurt to see you hurting, so instead of staying by your side, I disappeared. But I couldn’t stop worrying about you, and now you’re here, and I’m really hoping this isn’t just a dream.” Richard squeezed him, as if to make sure he was real.
“Well, if it is a dream, when I wake up I’ll come over to your house again so I can apologize a second time. I should never have said all those hurtful things to you, Richard. I’m so sorry. I felt like I couldn’t control my feelings anymore, and I got so anxious that I just… I don’t know, buried myself in work so I wouldn’t have to feel anything.”
Seri straightened, and finally brought his hand all the way up to caress Richard’s cheek. “But I don’t want to hide anymore. I want you. I love you.”
“I love you too, Seri.”
Seri just managed to kick his shoes off beside his dropped coat before Richard lifted him up and carried him into his apartment.
--
Seri hadn’t realized how anxious he had been until he felt the whirling storm of his thoughts and the nervous butterflies in his stomach finally settle. Richard had carried him to a nearby couch, and then patiently listened as Seri voiced all the worries he’d been holding for the past week. When Seri choked up, Richard pressed his head into his chest and rubbed his back until his tears dried up. Richard didn’t interrupt, or tell Seri that any of his worries were irrational. Finally Seri ran out of words and just lay on top of Richard’s chest, listening to the beating of his heart.
I feel like a wrung-out washcloth.
Seri was worried he’d put Richard to sleep, but when he chanced a glance upward, Richard smiled back. “How are you feeling Seri?” He kissed his forehead.
“Mmm. Much better.” He rubbed at his swollen eyes. “I’m sorry for barging in like this.” Seri started to rise but Richard held him tight.
“I’m so very glad you did. You’ll stay the night with me, won’t you?”
Seri blushed. “Yeah. I’d like that. I need to go back home and grab a change of clothes though.”
“Nonsense.” Richard gently extricated himself from Seri and stood up. “I have everything you need here. Why don’t I bring you something cool for your eyes while I start you a bath?”
Seri rubbed at his eyes again. “That sounds great.”
--
“…Seri?”
Seri started awake. Richard had left him relaxing on the couch with a cool compress draped over his eyes, and Seri realized he must have drifted off. He peaked out from under the compress to see Richard’s smiling face hovering upside down above his own, his curtain of hair almost grazing his cheek. “Would you like to take a bath?”
“Sorry, I must have dozed off. Yes, please.”
“Then let’s go!” Richard came around and scooped up Seri in his arms.
Seri clutched at Richard’s neck. “Wait! Hold on, I can walk on my own, you know!”
“Sorry, not allowed!” Richard said cheerily. “Don’t struggle too much or I’ll be tempted to eat you up.” Seri laughed and kicked his legs as Richard nibbled at his neck.
Richard gently set Seri down on the cold tile of his bathroom floor next to a bath filled with steaming water. “Let’s get those clothes off.” Richard unbuttoned Seri’s shirt, and slowly slid it off his shoulders. Seri shivered under Richard’s hungry gaze.
“Beautiful,” Richard murmured, stroking a finger down Seri’s belly.
Seri blushed and looked down just in time to watch Richard undo his pants and pull them down to his ankles, exposing the growing erection beneath his underwear. Richard’s hands moved upward again to tease Seri’s nipples. “Now, what would you like to do next?”
Seri gulped. “I, uh… I want -ah!”
Richard pinched a nipple, then reached down and pulled off Seri’s underwear, leaving him completely exposed. “Yeees?”
“I want… I want to touch your hair!”
Richard laughed. “Of course.” Richard lowered down to his knees, letting Seri run his fingers through his loose hair. It’s so soft. Seri lost himself in the blissful feeling of finally being able to caress Richard’s hair. Then he yelped as Richard’s tongue ran the length of his hard dick.
“Richard, hold on-!”
“Shhh.” Richard looked up. “You remember the magic word?” Seri nodded, and shivered as Richard’s lips caressed him again.
Richard smiled, then closed his eyes briefly with a look of contentment and nuzzled his head against Seri’s hand as it slid through his hair. “There’s something I’d like to touch too,” murmured Richard, as he returned his attention downward. “Let’s make you a little dirtier, then share a nice relaxing bath together, hmm?” Seri gasped as Richard took him completely in his mouth.
