"I'll calm down once you get me out of this mess! " I told him.

"Fine if you help me! " he asked me.

"Me help you? No way! " I refused to accept his offer.

"Please! I'm begging you! " he begged me on his knees.

"Pathetic! You have to answer my questions first then I'll help you! " I answered him.

"Fine! Thank you! " he accepted.

"Tell me then! " I answered him.

"What did you ask me in the first place? I forgot! " he asked me.

"Oh boy! Not this again! I see you forget things under stress! " I answered him.

"Yeah!. Tell me so I can jog my memory. " he asked me.

"Fine! You win! " I gave in to him.

'Maybe by siding with them for now will give me the answers I'm looking for. Them two do work and act alike, which had to be why they were fighting like that. I don't like the guy a single but but going with the flow just this once eight give me what I've been looking for all this time! ' I thought to myself.

'Everything's working to plan! Now we got her around our finger now! There's no way she's gonna escape now unless she finds out even if she does, it'll be too late! ' he thought to himself with a smug look on his face staring at me.

"Why are you giving me that look? You look like a creep! " I pointed out to him.

"Sorry! I didn't mean to! " he apologized lying on purpose.

"Yeah as if I'll believe you! " I saw through his lie.

'Man, she's tough to break! What am I going to do now? She's too clever for me? ' he panicked internally.

'I'm too smart for him! Just because I'm a little shorter than you doesn't mean I can't outsmart you single handedly. He better not make another mistake of undermining me because he'll pay the rice whether he likes it or not. He's the least of my worries for now. '

"Let me see if there's an opening to break through. I see it let me try if it'll break open or not for me! " I spoke to myself.

I kicked the escape room's artificial door but it wouldn't move an inch.

"What did I do wrong? Maybe, I didn't kick with more power! I'll try again! " I spoke to myself.

I kicked the door with more strength but yet again my attempt failed me.

"Let's see! Maybe I need to barge the door open to make it open! " I answered myself.

I ran and nudged my arm to the door with strength yet it didn't open again for the third time.

"Let me see if turning it by my hand will work this time. " I responded to myself.

I turned the door with my hand but it still was sealed tight.

"Let me see if a tool to pry the door open will work to open the door or not. " I pondered.

I used a screwdriver I found and placed it on the door's edge, and pulled with all my might to open the door. Again, my attempt was to no prevail.

"Let me see if a code is needed to open the door. " I answered myself.

I found a key pad near the door and pressed random number combinations but the door wouldn't budge open.

"Let me see if there's a voice code for it to open. " I wondered to myself.

"Protocol." I tried.

"Voice code invalid. " the machine responded to me.

"Mantral." I tried again.

"Voice code invalid. " the machine responded again.

"Open sesame. " I answered.

"Voice code invalid. " the machine answered me again for the third time.

"Abracadabra." I tried again.

"Voice code invalid. " the machine answered again.

"Kyla." I attempted.

"Voice code invalid. " the machine did again.

"Kyla Charleston. " I tried.

"Voice code invalid. " the machine answered.

'So that's her full name. I've heard it before but from where I don't have any recollection of when I did hear it. '

"Arne." I tried.

"Voice code invalid. " the machine accepted it.

"Yes I did it! After all that, it finally worked! " I celebrated.

"You are a third of the way successful. " the machine announced.

"What else have I got to do? " I asked myself.

"I'm tired. Are you going to help me or not? " I asked him.

"Right! " he answered.

"Come! What are you waiting for? Christmas? " I asked him sarcastically.

"Nothing! I'm coming! " he answered him.

"You better be telling the truth! I'm counting on you! " I lied convincingly to their face.

"Whet other layers of security does this door have? Now that one layer of security is down, let's see if physical force will work against the last two. " I asked him. I charged straight for the door yet it still did nothing.

"Breaking second layer of security is not working. Try again! " the machine announced.

"I'm afraid not! Let's see what else I can do! My mind's blank! How about you? " I asked him.

"Okay, you look over on the left side of the room! I'll look at the right this time. " I instructed him, heading for the right.

"I'm on it! " he answered me, staying where he was.

Then he charged towards me and kicked me in the stomach, then throwing me to the other side of the escape room.

"Why did you do that? You lied to me but why would you do this to me? " I asked him surprised.

"It was time to get my revenge from the last time! " he reminded me.

"I was foolish to believe you but you won't win this time! " I reminded him

"I'll like to see you try! " he answered me.

"What's going on? " he asked me, seeing something happen.

"The escape room is disappearing but how can that be? Wait, I knew physical force was the way to go! Thanks for your help! " I thanked him, groaning still from the damage.

"What? I helped you! " he realised.

"You weren't the only one thinking ahead! " I answered him.

'Arghh! She was one step ahead of me! 'he thought to himself, looking down and then up again.

"Thought you could pull the wool over me, didn't you? " I asked him sure of myself.

"Yes, I did. You got me good this time! " he admitted to me.

He pushed me off and I lost my balance.

"Argh! " I groaned.

I fell off the edge of the forest, falling into a water stream below me. I grabbed on a piece of rock to stop myself from falling.

"Oh no! " I exclaimed, my hand losing its grip off the piece of rock I was holding onto.

I was soaked all the way through my clothes and skin. I climbed up the cliff again, yet he threw rocks at me to make me lose my balance.

"I won't let you! " I warned him.

"Is that the best you can do? " I asked him.

"You haven't seen anything! " he reminded me.

"Okay so show me what you're really made of! " I challenged him.

"Deal! Bring it on! Full speed ahead of me! " I told him.

"Challenge accepted! " he accepted me.

"Let's see if you can take this! " he told me.

He threw branches at me and I dodged everything he threw at me. My blood was spilling onto my clothes.

"Oh no! You'll pay for this! " I snarled at him.

"I don't think so! " he told me as I pushed me off the edge easily, making me fall to the stream again and lose sight of him.

I woke up in a cold sweat, waking up from my sleep, breathing quickly and heavily.

"What a bad dream I had! Why did it happen to me? This has to be some warning, foreshadowing something. That something I got no idea of to be honest but I don't have a good feeling about this. What does the amulet and emblem in my dream have to do with anything? Maybe I'm over thinking things now! " I pondered to myself.

"What's the time now? " I asked myself.

I sat up, opened my eyes and took my phone off the bedside table near me. I turned the phone on by pressing the button on the right side once. Then, I unlocked it with my fingerprint. Then, I looked at the time.

"What? It's 10:45pm! I've only been to sleep for 15 minutes! Why can't I sleep? " I asked myself.

"My instinct is telling me something and that something is not a good thing for sure. I got to get to the root of this dream I had. " I answered myself.

I got out of my bed, opened the drawer of my bedside table and I took out my red vertically striped journal with my red pen. I closed the drawer shut quietly and slowly so I don't wake up Larela.

"If I had this dream, this must mean this could be related to something they'll happen soon. There was a snowstorm when we got back tonight so they could be a reason why I had a bad dream. That bad dream had to be a future vision my mind was giving me to prepare myself for the future danger I will face. Could this mean that there will be a big change for this world? Whatever it could be telling me, there has to be more to it than just this. Who were those two people and what do they plan doing with that amulet and emblem if they get their hands on it? " I pondered to myself, writing it all down in my journal.

I looked up in the window to see anything but nothing was there.

'Kyla, relax! Nothing bad is going to happen! Believe yourself for once. Take your own advice! It's no good. I tried this so many times but it won't happen. I can't seem to find the root of me not being able to get to sleep. I worry too much but I can't help it. Larela would know what to do but I can't wake her up because she needs her beauty sleep. It'll be selfish of me to wake her up so I won't. I'll just think of positive things and I see if it works! '

I took out a purple and pink ribbon from my book.

'My mom gave this to me. It's been so long since I've seen her in real life. I miss her a lot. I can't help but worry about everyone but mostly her since she's on her own back in Norway. She's probably asleep but I hope she knows I always think of her and that I'll never forget her. I need to go to sleep now. I got a big day ahead of me tomorrow. I need to take my watch off now. It's hurting my wrist. '

I took off my smart watch on my wrist. I then placed all of my belongings back in the first drawer of my bedside table safe for now. I locked everything up safe.

I then got up on my bed, put the sheets over me and closed my eyes to get some sleep. I slept snug as a bug until my alarm rang at 6am in the morning. It was still dark and Larela was still snoozing in her bed. I got up in my bed, put on my slippers, turned off the alarm on my phone. I then made my way to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I turned on the sink tap, took my toothbrush, watered it and then squeezed my toothpaste on it on my purple toothbrush. I placed my teeth for 2 minutes including my tongue and gums. I then turned off the tap after I rinsed my mouth, spitting out the toothpaste of my mouth. I then flossed my teeth. I washed my face with water and patted it dry with a face towel. I then went to the toilet, closing the door behind him and then I flushed the toilet seat.

Then, I was washing my hands afterwards with soap and water. I washed my hands thoroughly. I got out of the bathroom, picked out my outfit from my wardrobe, which was a cyan sweater, cyan polo shirt with a collar underneath with a blue sports bra, blue tracksuit bottoms, blue underwear, blue socks and white and blue striped trainers.

I closed my wardrobe and put on my flip flops to my bathroom, closing the door behind me. I then placed my clothes on separate cloth hangers I had in my bathroom. I took my shampoo, conditioner and shower gel products to my bathtub. I then undressed myself out of my pyjamas and undergarments, placing them in the laundry basket. Then I got inside the bath tub after turning on the heater installed on the walls of my bathroom. I then turned on the hot water tap on and drenched myself with the hot water. I then applied shampoo to my hair, massaging all the way well before rinsing it all out. Then I did the same with the conditioner and then I drenched myself again with water. I then washed myself with shower gel on my body using a loafer to do it all before rinsing it all. I then turned off the tap and got out of the bathtub. I dried myself with a towel out of the moisture and then moisturized my skin. I then put on my clothes and then I cleaned up the whole bathroom before drying my hair with a blow dryer on full volume in the other room opposite to the bathroom so they couldn't hear me. I then put on lip balm, brushed my hair and styled my hair in a simple bun. I then left the room and then made breakfast for the whole team while I waited for everyone to wake up soon.

I then went back to my room, took my smartwatch and placed it back to my wrist now. Then I suddenly got a notification from our boss for an important meeting later today.

"I'll find out why soon when we get there." I spoke.

My watch was ringing very loudly so I turned it off. I then ate my breakfast in silence.

'I wonder what meeting we'll have. I guess I'll see when the time comes. It's so quiet, almost too quiet but it's nice to get a quiet morning to yourself once in a while when you really need it like I do now. I guess we have a new mission today or not. I feel so much more awake than yesterday but I feel the lingering effects of exhaustion yesterday. I'll take a little time to rest my mind from the hectic day yesterday we had. It's nice to be back in my apartment. I can't wait what today will bring to me and the rest of us. I wonder what new case we'll have to solve next. Maybe, we'll see Macelia and the others again. I'll like to know what we'll have to stop. The phone rang.
