“THAT GUY HAD THE FUCKING NERVE TO TRY AND TALK TO YOU?!!” Alicia sits on the sofa, angrily tapping her fingers in frustration.
“What a grade A ass”, Megan states, standing up behind Alicia and combing her fingers through Alicia’s chestnut waves. “I can’t believe you actually slapped him, but it was a long time coming,” Alicia crosses her arms, exhaling.
“Yeah I don’t even remember him but it was like…” I bite my lip and look down in my lap. “It was like my subconscious knew him, and knew he was bad news.” Alicia nods slowly.
“Your subconscious was like fuck this guy lets go.” I laugh, leaning my head on Laurence’s shoulder. “I doubt he’ll ever try talk to me again, at least.”
Laurence grunts. “He better not”.
I smile at Megan. “I never introduced you two, did I?” She shakes her head, smiling gently.
“Well, this is Laurence, my boyfriend” I say as I gesture to him. I look at Megan and smile. “And Laurence, this is my friend Megan.” She gasps and puts a hand to her mouth.
“Oh m- I didn’t think you still thought of me as a friend” she looks like she might cry. I guess we really were close. Alicia pulls Megan down, kissing her forehead. “Aw, Ashie you made Meg cry!”
I roll my eyes at her. Megan giggles, wiping her face with her hand and swiping her white bangs out of her eyes. Her hair is cropped short in a pixie cut, but with the front longer and swiped to one side.
Megan walks round the sofa, joining Alicia on it. She smiles warmly “it’s great to meet you, Laurence.”

Laurence opens the front door for me and I practically fall inside. “Aahh,” I sigh. “Home at last. Today was definitely busier than I had anticipated.”
Laurence manoeuvres me to the sofa, sitting me on his lap and hugging my to his chest. “It was nice to meet Megan, at least.” His smile fades as he frowns slightly.
“What’s wrong?”
“Well, I was just wondering if you and Megan had a fight or something - she seemed really happy that you think of her as a friend.”
I smile and plant a light kiss on Laurence’s lips. “Alicia said we used to be really close, but, I don’t remember Megan at all.” Laurence freezes. “Oh.”
“She’s willing to wait until I feel comfortable reconnecting though, which is really nice of her. I might start soon actually. All my old friends left, and now I’ve met Byron, it’d be nice to reconnect with someone actually nice.”
Laurence nods, kissing me back. “Does she go to uni here?” I shake my head. “Nope, she just goes to hang out at Allie’s a whole bunch.” He laughs, holding my waist. “I bet Alicia likes that.”
I giggle “mmh, our two topics of conversation are Megan and you.” A look of surprise enters his features. “Really?”
Nodding enthusiastically, I kiss him again. “Of course.” Laurence smiles against my lips, then pulls me closer, deepening the kiss. I let out a little surprised gasp, kissing him back.
I raise my hand, running it through his blue curls, my other holding his hand. Laurence’s tongue wraps around mine, my grip on his hair increasing slightly.
I bite his lower lip gently, a small moan escaping his throat. We part for a moment, breathing heavily. “You’re a surprisingly good kisser, you know that?”
I blush, leaning in again, to kiss the mole at the corner of his mouth slightly before kissing him gently on the lips. “Why thank you.”
Our eyes lock, the blue of his irises pulling me into his heavy gaze. As he kisses me again, I breathe “You’re not too bad yourself.”
