A short while later, in the break room, Jumping Jack speaks with a couple of the crew members.
"Hey Jack, when you said you were getting me a gig in a movie, I didn't think it'd just be some nameless goon," the man with a Cheetah-head complains. "Why'd I get stuck with such a lousy villain role huh? It's bullshit is what it is!"
"I know Cody I know, but it's just a short little job to get your foot in the door. You gotta get through a few low-end gigs before you can play in the big leagues after all." Suddenly, Jack's pager begins to beep, and he gives it a quick look over. "Ah, look at that, I gotta get going. Got a talk-show I gotta get to by 6."
The man who had three eyes finishes washing off the fake one painted over his forehead. "I thought you had a patrol to take care of today?" he asks.
"Eh, I'll get Yarnaby to cover it for me, ain't no big deal".
"I don't think the Hero Corps' gonna like you skimping out on patrols like that," the man with two eyes says.
Jackson gives a quick shrug, "It's not like they'll do anything, and I can just do a few extra rounds some other time". His pager beeps once more. "Alright, I really gotta go, talk to you guys later! Peace out!" He makes his way to the nearest window, popping it open and dropping out.
On the way to the talk-show, Jumping Jack has switched from his standard bright green bodysuit to a simple suit and tie. He quickly makes his way there just before the camera can start rolling.
As he sits in a soft leathery chair, he smiles at the camera while the TV host, Mr. Goldberg, introduces him to the audience. "Ladies and gents, tonight we have a real guest of honor, the young upstart hero Jumping Jack. Welcome to the show."
"It's good to be here," Jack says, giving a little wave out to the audience.
"So, Mr. Cobourne-"
"Just Jack, if you would," he corrects.
"So, Jack, you've been a professional hero for less than 2 years now, yet you've already climbed up the ranks to the top of Grade C, and from what I've heard, you're being promoted to Grade B in the next two days? Is that right?"
"Yeah, I've been getting a lot further than most people expected. No one really expected 'Super Jumping' to be all that big a power right?"
"And not only that, but you've already built up a massive fan-base. You've got comics, cereal boxes, even a movie deal, it's honestly pretty impressive how big a name you've built up so fast."

Meanwhile, far away in the West side of town, a villain plots to make his debut. Bearing a silver business suit with a bright white hat, he addresses his gaggle of goons, waving an old antique revolver around.
"First order of business, we've got ourselves a lovely bank to rob, see?" he points down at a map showcasing Gemstone Financial, third largest bank in Serenia City.
He goes about explaining his plan. "The Runts will be in charge of rounding up each of the bankers, keep 'em off any phones and make sure they don't contact the coppers. Muscles take care of cracking open the vault, while Slides gives us our get-away."
"And of course," he gestures towards himself, "I'll be in charge of Time Management. Should be in and out of there before the cops even know what's going on."
