Danny floated aimlessly through the halls of Titan tower humming a random tune to himself. It was the first time in awhile that he actually had a nice place to stay and he intended to enjoy it. Danny then saw Starfire and grinned, he turned intangible and flew after her. She turned into the living room and the ghost boy followed. 

Starfire opened the fridge and got some strange looking juice that Danny assumed was from her home planet. He came up behind her and grabbed her shoulders, she yelped and whipped around to hit whatever touched her. Danny became tangible again and laughed "friend Danny! you frightened me!" she exclaimed. "I'm sorry Starfire, it's just hard to resist when you can make yourself invisible" Danny said rubbing the back of his neck.

"It is okay, please don't do it again" she said with a slight smile, Danny smiled back "you have my word" he said happily. Danny truly enjoyed it with the Titans, he felt like he could be himself when he was with them. He had felt the same way with his friends Tucker and Sam, but they were gone now. Danny knew that he had to get over their deaths but how could he? it felt like he would be neglecting that they were ever alive.

The pain of their loss still pricked at his heart from time to time, like whenever a certain song would come on, or a certain topic was mentioned. Sometimes the mention of  ultra recyclo vegetarianism reminded him of his goth friend that he never had the chance to confess to. The mention of tech would remind him of his nerdy friend that he had known since childhood. Yeah, you could say that Danny missed them with his whole being, with everything he had.

He would give anything to have his friends and family back, he desperately wished to have the loving care of a family again. Danny wished for his friends, when he first lost them he asked himself "why couldn't it have been me?"

Danny had felt so lost, he locked himself inside his house for weeks until the food ran out. When he came back to school things were different, Dash and his friends would leave him alone, he was never yelled at anymore. People knew that he was grieving but they didn't know the extent of it. He felt like he was all alone in the middle of the a dark place.

He had no hope for anything anymore, no energy to even scream for someone to help him. It felt like that for so long, he felt like his only escape was to take his own life. Danny wanted to be gone from this world so he could join his friends and family.

Danny knew that wasn't a solution though, he thought back to his friends when they were alice. The supported him throughout everything, encouraged him to us his powers o help others. At some time, Danny even would say they felt like family to him.

 He had been burdened with the loss of their deaths for so long it felt like it would always be there, saying that it was his fault they died. Danny hadn't gotten there in time, that was the moment he had lost everything.

Right now though, he felt welcomed, it was like he had friends again, people that would care for him. However, there was always a voice in the back of his mind saying that they would die because of him. Danny tried to ignore it, he continued to tell himself that something like that would never happen again. He wanted to be sure of that fact, Danny would give up his own life just to make sure that these people wouldn't meet the same fate as the others.

"Yo dude!" Beast Boy yelled throwing his arm around Danny's shoulders "hey Beast Boy" he weakly smiled. Beast Boy noticed this "you okay dude?" he asked "yeah. I'm fine, just thinking" he responded. "Watcha thinkin about?" Beast Boy asked with a grin. Danny shrugged Beast Boy's arm off of his shoulders. "I was thinking about my friends and family" Danny responded making BeastBoy curious.

"They...died, a long time ago" then Danny turned intangible and flew towards his room. Beast Boy nervously rubbed the back of his neck "oh geez, I shouldn't have asked him about that" he said sitting on the couch.

Robin came into the living room and sensed the grim aura "what's going on in here?" he asked. "I asked Danny about his family and he said that they died a long time ago along with his friends" Beast Boy responded. Robin sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Go check on him, and apologize"Robin said still pinching the bridge of his nose.

Beast Boy got up and made his way to Danny's room silently, when he came to the door he stopped when he heard something. 

'is he...crying?'
