Aiden~

As I was telling Noel about what happened between Cassie and I, I couldn't help but start to tear up. I felt like such a coward for crying over someone who wasn't worth it. Noel did warn me a few times that I would end up hurt but I thought he was saying that because he was jealous. I wiped my tears away and saw Noel’s book. I grabbed it and stared at it before reading through it. It was easy to read because Noel has very neat handwriting. I was shocked at what I was reading. “Aiden came by today. I was so happy to see him!! It’s been so long because all he does now is hang out with his girlfriend. I did cry today before going to bed because reality hit me hard. Aiden is never going to like me the same way I like him. He sees me as a baby brother but I don't want to be that…I want to be more than a brother and more than friends...but all dreams don't come true.” That was the first sentence I read. I was so confused and shocked. All I did was stare at the book. “AIDEN!”, I heard Noel yell. I got scared and closed the book so quickly that I felt air come out of the book. Noel ran up to me and asked how much I read. I wanted to say, ‘Nothing really. I was just looking at your handwriting.’, but what I said was “You...you like me?”

“You...you like me?” When I heard Aiden say those words, my heart sank into my stomach. “NO!”, I yelled. “I like someone else not you!” Aiden confusingly said, “And their name is also Aiden? Don’t be like that Noel.” “ No seriously his name is Aiden or well it was. He changed his name recently, you’ll meet him soon. He’s the new student we will be arriving tomorrow.”, I said while rubbing the said of my arm.
