The walk home was silent. Kids walking home later from clubs or any other after school activities. Bee kept her distance from me still, knowing that I "wanted" it this way. In fact, I was lucky she was even walking me home. She'd probably walk home with our friend Cassidy or with Kaitlyn. She spends all her time with Kaitlyn though. 

Who am I to stand in the way of her and Kaitlyn (I'd rather she spend time with me or at least Cassidy or Candace). She smiled at her phone, lagging back there with the soccer kids. Her typing was faster than she'd type for me, or in any of our group chats!!! She was now stuck standing there, cheesing at her phone near Mrs. Jamison's house. Still typing away and not noticing me. I walked up to her and waved my hand, blocking her screen until she finally saw me. She looked up at me and saw my cheeks go red in anger. 

The things she probably typed were like " Nice talking to you again" or "What are your plans now, I would love to be part of them" Ugh, she even add cute cat memes too!!! She saw me lost in my "jealous" rage, kicking dead leaves off the ground. I huffed and grunted at the fact I knew what she will be doing once I'm dropped off like it's an errand or detour for her(since I stole a glance at her phone before she shut it off).

"Amber, are you alright? You seem upset.... did you read my text messages? "She focused all her attention on me.

"I hate this "keep our distance" thing Bee!" I said seriously.

"More than you hate Kate or the idea of me talking to her? " I fell silent to her question as I glared at her, hoping to pierce her skin, maybe lasers shoot out or something. She chuckled as she finally put her phone in her denim jacket pocket, never taking her eyes off me.

"Seeing you this jealous is adorable Amb's, your pouting is so cute, "

" I'm not jealous... I'm just very angry, " I thought as she pat my shoulder. I told her that exactly thing I thought and she laughed even more. I pushed her away from me, she was right and I knew that. 

"You'd always tell me what was on your mind, that's what I love about you or loved...," She looked the other way as I moved in closer. 

"You've changed a lot Amb's, but at least I can read your mind," 

"But can you read my heart? " I asked her as I put my hand on her cheek, she looked at me. She could see into my soul with those piercing blue eyes. 

"You really meant what you said last summer? " she brushed her hair behind her ear. I blushed as I tried to respond,"Yes I...."

"Hey Beatrice, Hey Amber!! " yelled a familiar voice. It's Katilyn, my mouth tasted sour as Bee grabbed my hand and lowered it from off her face. Letting it go after Kaitlyn moved closer towards. 

"You ready BumbleBee? Candace finally brought an extra controller for us to play, " she grinned at the sight of MY friend. She did turn and asked me if I would like to join. Bee gave me a desperate look, but I declined. She wanted me to go and I just can't deal with her precious Katilyn or whatever her name is or even the pet names she gave her. I had a huge knot in my chest and walked the rest of the way alone to my house...
