He rushes to see what is wrong with Selma.

Daniel is wearing his work uniform which is plain navy collared jacket with grey pants.

Daniel- Hey, Hey what’s going on Selma?

He crouches down on the floor next to her and holds her.

Daniel- Talk to me! Selma! Whats going-

Selma is unable to form a coherent sentence, She just bundles up on Daniel in shock and fear. All she can do is point at the tv.

Daniel- The Tv?

He turns his head to look at the Tv

Daniel- Did you-

Selma nods her head.

Daniel stays motionless and thinks for a second. He stands up and helps Selma up. He grabs selma by the hand and whispers.

Daniel- Follow me.

Daniel leads selma to their tiny bathroom.

Daniel- Who did you see this time? Was it Henry?

Selma- It was Jer… Jer… Jeremy!

Daniel- Jeremy?

Daniel stood speechless for a second, in shock he looks like he turned pale but then looked like he calmed down and then turned into hostility.

Daniel- That crazy son of a bitch.. it was only a matter time before they caught him. I’m surprised it took this long for the peace keepers to find that bastard.

Selma gets angry through the tears.

Selma- Why would you say that Daniel! Did you want that to happen to him!

Daniel- Shut the Fuck up Selma!

He grabs her shoulders, and looks intensely in her eyes.

Daniel- Don’t be so loud. You can’t be getting too emotional every time you see one of them on the TV. Ok..

He lets go of Selma.

Daniel- Ok.. I don’t think you were too loud so we should be ok. Im sorry for what I said but It’s true, you know how he was. He acted like a fucking cowboy every chance he got.

Selma is still in a panic but is whispering in her fear.

Selma- We have to get out of here, Daniel. We have to leave, We can’t stay here.

Daniel- And where would we go?

Selma- Let’s go to my parents.

Daniel- No, We can’t. That would be one of the first places that they’ll look for us.

Selma- Then what are we going to do. If we stay here the Peace Keepers can easily pick us up. God, they can be on their way to pick us up right now! Come on Daniel we have to do something!

Daniel- Shut up Selma!

Daniel tries to stay still.

Daniel- No. They would’ve gotten us earlier if they were on to us, I’d probably be picked up first at the factory if that was the case. So we should calm down and think this out. What did they get him for?

Selma- Homosexuality.

Daniel turns around to think.

Daniel- Ok unless he stuck to his story. I don’t think they would know about us. The only thing those bastards care about is reaching their quota.

Daniel- I don’t know, I didn’t say that but hopefully he convinced them that he’s just some guy they picked up.

He holds selma and hides his face in the hug so she can not see his expression of doubt.

Now he has a face of confidence and smiles.

He holds Selma tightly with a face of happiness as he embraces her but Selma has a face of doubtfulness on hers. She is knows that Daniel can not deliver his promise of protection. But Daniel is unaware of her expression.

Daniel still holding her- Selma…

Selma- Yeah?

Daniel- Did you eat yet?

Selma- No…
