As sad as it was, Snow's relationship with his parents slowly corroded over time. His parents loved him, he loved them, but because of their ignorance to his true self, he never felt like they loved him, but the her they thought they had.
Why they couldn't see me for me was stupid as hell. As many times as I've tole them, you'd think they'd at least acknowledge what I've said instead of completely ignoring it. I mean, they don't even say I'm wrong. They just pretend as if I had never spoken and keep talking. It's insulting.
Snow ran down to see his mother about to leave.
"Mom!" He ran to her, and hugged her. She hugged him back.
"How long will you be gone?"
His mother thought for a moment. "Week, week and a half. Two tops." She ruffled her son's hair. "Love you baby girl."
Snow huffed. "Mom! I am not your baby girl!" he yelled. "I am a boy! I am always telling you and you ignore me like I had never said anything! I am male, Mom! And if you don't accept me like that then I'm not going to be your son or your daughter!"
His mother stepped back. "Snowy, I-" She froze, then took Snow into an embrace. "I know, baby. I know you're a boy. I just-" She looked around, then looked back to Snow. "I never said anything about it because your father- he's-" She sighed. "He's seriously homophobic."
Snow looked to his mother in surprise. "You- you really mean it?"
She kissed her son's forehead. "I do, son."
And with that, she left, leaving SnowWhite happy, but scared, at the same time.
