Summary:
The oldest of the overseers, he’s in charge of rebuilding the fauna of a planet in case of a total extension event.
Biology:
Like the remaining overseers, he’s made out of a special metal created by earth’s angel. He is modeled after a human skeleton, safe for the needles he has instead of fingers, and was designed to tower over the average human (but average human height increased considerably since the ice age, so now he barely reaches the average height for women).
His limbs and neck are covered with cogs, small coupling rods, and springs, that serve as his muscles, and his arms have really small tubes that connect the needles to the intricate collection of cogs and glass vials inside Fauna’s torso.
These vials are meant to house DNA samples Fauna collects or has currently in use, the needles in his thumbs are used to collect DNA samples, while the remaining fingers are in charge of weaving any embryo he might be trying to bring to life.
He’s always depicted using a dark fur hood that covers him from head to toe and a pair of leather boots.
Additional facts:
Sources don’t get into much detail about what happens to an embryo after Fauna creates it, but they all say that it's taken to the overseers’ citadel and the rest of the gestation process happens here.
Contrary to popular belief (among people who don’t actually follow the religion or picked up a book about it) Fauna does not have an incubator inside his belly.
Fauna was the only overseer who didn’t alter his body in any way after the earth's angel disappeared.
Some scriptures claim Fauna can read minds and that his eyes glow in the dark.
Personal experience:
None.
