His words fogged my mind with insanity.
I couldn't take it anymore.
The emperor was taunting me with every word, and with every breath, he drew. His queer articulation paralyzed me with lunacy and I had to do something without being his innocent incapable prey.
Inexplicably, an unknown strength soared within me driven by my vexation. Without thinking, I drew a deep breath, and with all my strength, I pushed his chest hard causing him to fall back against the floor.
He groaned and sat back up. His dark hair swept over his face, and his eyes glinted underneath the hair strands with a shadowy amusement. His hanfu was set loosely on his body as he glared at me.
With my heart pounding against my chest, I hurdled out of the king sized bed and took a run without any second thoughts. Now was my chance to escape. My chance to break free from all this madness.
Escape, escape, escape.
The thought consumed me filling me with an unquenchable thirst for freedom.
Without looking back I ran towards the door.
I had every intention of running through that damn door and escape to whichever place I could find, even if that meant hell. Hell was fine as long as he was nowhere near me.
Sprinting out of the door with my face of relief, I was met with yet another nightmare.
I never saw this coming. I was standing in front of the longest hallway I have ever seen in my life. Now was not the time to sulk and I had to try to do something. Deciding on whether I should choose the left side or the right side, I choose right because I didn't have much time to think about it. I let luck decide my fate and I dashed out like the wind. I was running like a mad man, holding my long hanfu up in my arms so that I won't trip over the long heavy fabric.
Panting hard with each passing step, I let my eyes feast on my new environment. I couldn't help choking from the shock. This whole place was so huge and so deluxe. Innumerable paintings were hung on the walls and different ornaments and vases were placed in every corner.
It looked like I was in a palace but the entire place was deserted that it looked like a desolate haunted mansion.
'Was he trying to keep me captive in a secret manor'
I shook my head, trying to stop myself from overthinking things. What I should be concerned about now was, I had to run faster so that the tyrant king wouldn't be able to catch me.
So Ziyi! Focus!
I was running and running. Why the hell was there such a freaking number of hallways!-I cursed at the place for being such a complicated maze. What else was I supposed to do? Admire the place for being gorgeously huge? um no thanks!
Sighs++
Finally, after a miserable running that seemed like forever, I could finally see a bright light glowing in a faraway distance.
It was much brighter than the dim light of the hall so I guessed that I was getting closer to my freedom, or were my eyes just scoffingly playing tricks with me?
'Whatever I just had to take the risk even though it would turn out to be a peril'.
I never thought I would admire the light so much. At this point, it was my savior so I risked myself and followed it's blinding color.
The more I got closer to it, the more it glimmered. Eerily, it was shining brighter with every step that I put forth. The immense radiance it reflected was too sharp that it even hurt my eyes.
At this rate, it could really turn out to be an imperilment.
It wasn't the wonted light that one met with every day, nor was it the light of the blazing sun. I didn't have time to ponder over my wild thoughts when a radiant figure slowly walked out of the divaricating luminosity stunning me with angst. This was eerier that the uncanny ghostly light.
I steadied my eyes to look at the figure who was approaching me within the blinding light.
I stopped in my tracks and the gauzy light slowly faded away to bring out the form of a man.
It was a beautiful man with white porcelain skin that was as fair as snow. Silver-white light and the scent of sandalwood wafted from him as he walked his way towards me.
Long white blonde hair flowed over his broad shoulders. His eyes glowed with a stormy blue shade making them look like mystic blue ice.
He was THE immortal prince of ice and snow with his skin already sparkling like frosted pearls. I never knew such a person really existed until now.
This unknown beautiful celestial prince glided towards me. His silver silky hair which was swaying to and fro made him look more mysterious.
I stood like a statue, awestricken by his beauty.
But for some reason, he seemed so familiar like I've seen him before. I felt like he was someone I knew very well. Maybe it was an odd reminiscence or just a passing thought. How strange...
But once he got closer, the lineaments of his face struck me with incredulity. I could never mistake his face. That familiar face I had started to hate so much. How could it be him? I honestly cannot solve this puzzle.
His height towered over me as he cocked his head to the side. "You recognized me huh?" An attractive yet threatening smile spread across his face revolting my perception.
"No matter where you run off to in the world, I will always find you. So you can't run away from me. You get that?" he said with his iniquitous smile still lingering in his lips.
I freaking hated him. I really did.
Ignoring my sullen face, he waved his hand up, letting silver light dart from his fingertips. And out of nowhere, one by one, little silver butterflies started to appear. They were glistening like little orbs of hazy whitish light.
I was pretty sure I was dreaming all this. This wasn't real was it? How could it even be. But it was the same butterfly I spotted in the imperial palace. So did it mean that all answers would lead me to him? A lump started to form in my throat.
The butterflies flew around us lighting the dim hallway with their luster. Their little silver wings flapped rhythmically enslaving me in a relaxed ambiance even in my sullen dull state.
" Impossible. Your your majesty is is it really you? How can you? And how did you...," my voice was drowned by the loud beats of my heartbeat.
"Yes little fairy it is me," his lips curled into a dangerous smile and his well defined muscles flexed under his robe as he advanced forth towards me.
His hand caressed my cheek sending a shudder down my spine. The tip of his nose grazed against my neck, tickling it with goosebumps. "I guess all your amma's stories are true," his hot breath flushed against my neck.
His soft lips brushed my skin as he smiled tauntingly. "Want to learn more about me little fairy?"
