That night went on for what seemed like forever. Dancing around, singing, taking a breather to even find the Alpha Tien spoke about. But even once the night settled and everyone said goodnight, there was no one. Diamond didn’t understand where he could’ve and why he ran off. Isn’t it normal for a leader to be out and about with their people, not even for a fun night?
Tien had shown Diamond where she could stay that night. Sadly one of the rooms was connected with the pups there but she didn’t mind too much. Some of the pups ran up to her and laid around asking her questions about her home, what it was like to be a cat, and if they could see her form. While that was going on, a male came in, the same redhead she saw that night.
“Uh, excuse me,” diamond shyly asked. He looked at her and smiled,” Yes?”
“What’s your name?”
“Ni-no. And you are Diamond Dust, we all heard about you. Nothing stays in quiet mouths here for long. Did you need something?”
She did actually. She wanted to know about the Alpha here. She wanted to find him, apologize and thank him for allowing her to be here even though it was Tien and Chloe that dragged her here. Diamond wanted to depart in a good mindset that morning.
“Your Alpha. I heard him last night, he sang? Well, I couldn’t find him after that. Where is he?”
Ni-no chuckled as he picked up a little sleeping pup, their fur coat as red has his hair, and motioned out the door,” He is probably in his room or his studies. It’s just up the stairs to the left and down at the end of the hall. Both rooms are. If not, he is probably out for the night for his run with his younger brother.”
Diamond nodded and thanked him before he left with the pup. The others were under the covers with her or on top fast asleep and twitching, hind legs and regular human legs kicked some as they slept. Diamond’s exhaustion finally took over and soon out like a light.

Laughter woke Diamond up that morning. The sun had flooded the room with its high golden glow. She stretched out and noticed all the pups had gone. She sprang from the bed and got dressed from the bag she brought with her and raced down the stairs fast to the outside. A woman was in the middle of the children as she sang. The children were giggled and jumping around in circles before she howled out high and they scattered off in laughter into the woods. Diamond was shocked, now looking at the outside in the place, it was almost like a really small town. Compressed but reasonable.
“Good morning Miss Dust. Did you sleep well?” A few voices from her right welcomed her and she blushed nodding at them and made her way to the gates. Sadly she knew she wouldn’t find the Alpha it seemed. But as she made her way, she asked a wolf that approached her to leave a message for her to him. They nodded with a low growl and stalked off as she strolled her way to the tree twisted arched gate.
She gained new clothes the night before from another girl that had spiked white hair and almost cat-like cognac eyes. She wasn’t a wolf though. She was Genet. The different skin tones marked her as her marks did in her animal form.
“Where do I head out now? I think West now. Back to the creekside and then right, to the north.” Diamond pulled out the map to make a double mental shot before she placed it back and ran off.

Diamond soon found herself back to the creekside and popping over it. The sun was still high, thank the gods. Back the second she continued off, she screamed out, she transformed into her kitten state from the large light mass that flew in front of her. There laid a grey blonde Plains wolf on the ground. His eyes were closed and his body raised up and down fast from his breathing. Diamond lowered her head in hopes she didn’t startle it and it attacked her. Just cuz the others were nice, that didn’t mean this one was.
Branches broke in the direction of where the wolf crashed. And soon a larger black mass stalked towards her and the large wolf next to her.
Diamond nudged her pink nose to the wolf’s ear meowing,” Sir, get up! You’re going to get hurt!” The wolf groaned a bit, not opening his eyes one bit.
“Leave him. He’s fine.” Diamond turned her head and lowered down wide-eyed. There stood a Timber Wolf. Black and staring down at them both. Diamond squeaked at the sized comparison to all three of them.
“Come on man. That tackle was so unfair. You know you have more brute strength in this form than me,” the wolf next to Diamond raised and growled annoyed. He shook his head and yawned,” Next time call it out. You almost made me crush this cat.”
“You’re talking like I bit you and made you bleed. You attacked me fangs out like I was your first four-course meal in 5 years. I’ll nub your ears for that,” the Timber wolf growled darker snapping his fangs harsh. Both Diamond and the Plains wolf flinched.
All three of them were now silent. Diamond scuffed a bit in the silence making them both look at her. Her nose twitched in nervousness.
“Well, I uh, I’ll be going now. I still have a while to go. Thank you for letting me stay for the night. Um. Please tell the Alpha I am grateful even though I didn’t get to meet him.”
Diamond was steps away when both wolves started to laugh. She pouted at the two, glaring now.
“I think you need to double-take your feline-ness, the Alpha has been here the whole time.” The Plains wolf nudged his head over to the Timber wolf before her. He blinked and looked away from them both, almost as though he was embarrassed to be found out and had the spotlight seconds on him. He grumbled, the words brother and shut up left his mouth soon after.
“Yeah. I think he is saying your welcome,” soon a thin frail-looking male was in the place of the grey blonde wolf that was now hiding behind a tree getting changed into the clothes nearby,” I’m Duncan Moon. That right-wait where did he go!?” The black timber wolf was gone now. Gone again.
Diamond was shocked. Did he hate being seen around?
“Did I do something?”
Duncan shook his head, scratching his head through his weak mess of brunette curls as he fixed the hem of his shirt,” No. He is sometimes like this. But he didn’t even say anything.”
Diamond nodded. She heard him yesterday and then he was just gone.
“I went to go get dressed. My clothes were a few feet away.”

Diamond was trying not to laugh. She, in the end, was brought back to the clan again and was sitting in Alpha's studies. Before her, was Duncan and his brother. Erien Moon, the Alpha. Short. Childlike look in the height. Diamond was just smiling, holding her laughter in.
“Laugh.” He bluntly snorted at her. Irritation in his eyes. She stopped smiling, feeling some guilt hit her heart for her reaction no less.
“I’m sorry. I just, the height difference is so major.”
Duncan snickered and shook his head. Erien looked off smiling punching Duncan in the arm,” Shut up bro. Keep your mind clean right now. Anyway.” Duncan was laughing more leaving Diamond even more confused,” Anyway! Big things come in small packages. You have heard of that right?”
Diamond shrugged a shoulder and nodded.
“Then there’s your answer.” Diamond blushed embarrassed. All three of them sat in silence for a bit, looking at one another for someone to start. The silence was now starting to get awkward. It was almost like a small substantial alliance meeting. Almost.
“Did you enjoy last night? I’m sorry if Tien and Chloe were too much. They can be over the top when it comes to new people. Especially from different clans and packs. We don’t get differences here much. Other than my older brother’s pack and Lia. Sometimes the birds are nice to us, letting the ravens help us with hunting or even joining in on our nightly fairs.”
Diamond nodded. She assumed Lia was the Genet she had met back when she was giving her clothes. And she was right. There was a picture of her, Erien, Duncan and some other male in a frame on Erien’s desk. She smiled, all of them seemed happy in the photo. Though, Erien and Duncan looked a lot younger in the photo at the time.
“That is our older brother. He and Lia are off and on in what we call a love life for them..” Duncan seemed bothered commenting on the gaze Diamond had on the frame. Erien nodded,” Don’t worry about that though. Our brother barely comes. And if he does, it’s like Halley’s comet.”
“That’s rare. Why so rare like that? Does he run his own clan?” Erien nodded and pointed to the paper that was framed in the wall.
Whelve. Diamond awed at the paper in a sad state. The older brother named packs something so sad. But why?
“He isn’t stable. He lost that sense years ago. So we just reluctantly tolerate it until we can’t. Last time we fought over it all because he messed up so badly, nearly getting us all killed.”
Diamond nodded and stood up,” Well, I don’t want to waste any more time. I should go now. I have a while to go. Thank you for letting me stay last night and join in on the fun. Have a good rest of your day.”
Erien stood up before Diamond could open the door,” Are you sure you have everything? Do you need anything more before you go out that way? I’ll have one of my Delta’s take you so you get there safe.”
Diamond shook her head and smiled waving them goodbye and closed the door behind her. She made her way out of the main house and back towards the gate, she transformed, made sure her clothes were in her bag and ran off in a pure white glow backwards the woods and over the creekside. The sun was setting now, so she had to hurry now. The outcast was probably worried now.
