“Until you can stop flirting all the time, go sit at another table!” Alex yelled at him as he winked at a girl.

“But, Snowfla-”

“Go.”

His pure white wings dragged on the ground as he walked away like a whipped puppy.

“Did someone comment on your gayness in class?” Nova asked him and we all looked at him.

Alex smacked his head on the table as I reached out for more food.

“You need to be more forward with your feelings or people will never stop bullying you,” Nova told him, “You must accept yourself inside and out. Remember that Viktor only flirts because he thinks that you are feeling guilty for loving him. He never flirts when he is with one of us, only with you around. He truly loves you and he wants you to realize it, but it breaks his heart when you say such cruel things to him.”

Alex nodded his head before getting up and walking away. I was surprised at how insightful Nova can act.

“I wonder if brother will get mad if I eat his food,” I asked aloud before eating his food.

“Too late to even try to ask.” Bruce pointed out.

“Does anyone think that they will ever be happy with each other?” Bram asked.

“I’ve noticed that Viktor may flirt with girls and guys but he only kisses Alex. Sadly, Alex hadn’t noticed that part yet.” Flo pointed out, “I hope my dear little twin will understand that soon.” She was twirling a fork in her hand with every word.

“Are we going to spend all of the lunch gossiping like a bunch of wrinkled hags or are we going to study?” Joy asked in her natural rude way.

“What is your next class?” Nova asked.

“English, is it hard?” I asked them.

“English is a fairly easy class but I don’t know about the new teacher Professor Jones because I don’t have his class until tomorrow,” Bruce told us. “If you have trouble, I can tutor you between my nurse duties. Just pop by the medical ward anytime.”

“I know it has to do with a lot of writing, I think it is boring! I don’t want to go but I have to later today.” Florence told us.

“Is that the class that Mom got the note about you not going at all last year?” I asked her.

We all started to laugh at the look on her face. From the glare that Bruce was giving her, I guess she did not want him to know.

“Cousin! You never told me that you skipped!” Bruce said before smacking her on the shoulder.

“I wasn’t the only one! Nova did too! That’s why we have to work this year on Sun’s Day with English Professor!”

“Hey! Don’t pull me into that fight!” Nova said before being hit by Bruce.

The three of them did not notice that I was eating their food while they were fighting.

“Don’t they know that they are supposed to be idols to our young age?” Joy said sarcastically as we got up.

“Good luck with your future then if we are your mentors.” The three said to us at the same time and then continued fighting each other.

It is bad if they know that they are bad role models. We walked out of the dining hall and heard fighting nearby, so we ran over to it. A group of werebeast haters had Alex and Viktor surrounded in a circle. I could see the bruises already forming on Viktor’s skin as he was trying to protect Alex.

“Bram, use the shadows to get Joy’s uncle over here. Joy, let’s use some of our magic to help them.”

Both of them nodded their heads and Bram fell into his shadow. Joy and I ran down to help them.

“Stupid fag beasts! You two should be caged!”

“Just die!”

“Monsters!”

“You don’t belong here!”

They were throwing huge rocks at them while yelling more obscenities. Viktor was using his wings to cover Alex from the rocks. I did not even think and started to change into my bear form. A few of the bullies that saw me started to back away. Seeing a giant, angry white bear walking towards them can cause fear in almost anyone.

“Fly! Get high up!” Joy yelled out as more bullies started to fall over from shock.

“The grass is attacking me!” One yelled out as he was tearing at the air around his feet.

I roared to get more of the bullies to run away as Viktor started to lift off the ground with Alex in his arms. But, it was hard from the damage he already had from the other rocks. The few bullies that remained were still throwing rocks at them.

“Break it up!” Mr. Wilhelm said as Bram helped him out of the shadow.

The bullies tried to run but I drained a little of their energy and I think Joy used another illusion on them because they fell back with scared looks on their faces.

“I want to talk to all of you in my office now.” He told them then they started to walk away. “I remember faces so don’t even try to skip out.”

He turned to us as I heard a sharp cry above me. I looked up right as Viktor and Alex fell on me. Even as a bear, they were heavy and I fell. I hope my fur gave them a softer landing than they gave me.

“Sorry little brother,” Alex told me as they got up.

“I saw that you two were the main ones getting attacked. Can you tell me how this happened?”

“We were talking and I kissed his hand,” Viktor said, “then a group of male students, it looked like about fifteen of them, they started to yell slurs at us while throwing rocks. About a few minutes later, Joy and Ash came to our rescue until you came, sir.”

I started to sniff at Alex to check how he was feeling, and he started to pet my head. Then, he covered his face into the neck of my fur.

“How come you didn’t try to fly away?”

“Because they were hitting the base of my wings and if I tried to fly, it would cause Alex to become a main target of the rocks. I couldn’t leave him to get hurt.” He looked over to Alex and I could tell that his eyes are full of love.

“Okay, should I ask who the bear is?”

“Ash Snowpelt.” everyone said together.

Mr. Wilhelm just nodded his head before walking away. My neck started to feel wet and then I realized that Alex was trying to hide his tears from everyone. Before I had a chance to try to get Viktor’s attention, he already had Alex in a hug.

‘He truly cares for my brother. Sometimes, Alex needs to remember that he has feelings just like everyone else,’ I thought as Viktor wrapped his wings around him.

“It’s okay now, you are so brave, my dear snowflake.” Viktor told him, “I could have left anytime as they attacked, but I love you too much to let them harm you.” He lightly touched his cheek to wipe away the tears.

Bram tapped my shoulder as we watched Viktor pick up Alex and walked away.

“It’s almost time for class, let’s use the shadows so you can change back,” then he turned to Joy, “We’ll meet you over at the English classroom.”

“Sure.”

He did not even warn me before I fell into my own shadow and came out into my room. Bram came out shortly later while carrying all of my textbooks.

“Shit! I forgot your glasses! I’ll be right back.”

I moved towards my dresser before I changed forms. Afterward, the dresser got extremely blurry and I had difficultly trying to find my underwear.

“I hate my eyesight, why must it be so blurry? At least the only problem with my other eyes is that I can’t see colors that well.” I said aloud after I put on the underwear.

“If you had perfect eyesight, I would say that the gods above made you too perfect.”

I turned around and saw a blurry dark shape walking towards me. I saw something move towards my face and my world became clear again just to see Bram’s smiling face.

“Did you know that your underwear is on backward?”

I looked down as he turned away from me. I could see the smirk on his face as he tried not to laugh at me.

“At least I managed to get them on without my glasses,” I looked over to him after I fixed them, “thank you for getting my glasses anyway.”

“You’re welcome; I can’t imagine you walking around like a blind person. Now finish getting dressed so we can get to class.”

I stuck my tongue out at him before turning around and getting dressed. Growing up, we always used to undress in front of each other, but I do not know why I would be blushing now. As soon as I was done, I grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the room. I almost did not notice the slight pinkness on his face.

‘I’m sure that we are just getting a small cold and that’s it. How did he know that it was backward?’
