In morning, Rizi wokeup with sharp headache.
Events of yesterday were playing like a continuous movie in her mind. She was hoping everything is a nightmare and when she will wake up next morning everything will be back to normal..
But reality struck her hard.
Tears welled in her eyes and she started sobbing.
Taking a deep breath she looked around her place which is no longer hers as she has to evacuate today.
She got up from her bed and rushed towards the bathroom.
After getting fresh, she came downstairs in the kitchen. Her housekeeper has placed newspapers and mails on the kitchen counter.
She observed a legal mail and without much thought she took it and started brewing coffee for herself. She poured it in a mug and tore open the mail to check contents.
Her eyebrows furrowed as she started reading.
Her eyes went wide with shock.
She lost control of the coffee mug in her hand and with a loud thud it broke spilling coffee all over the wooden floor.
Her limbs went weak.
She was charged with embezzlement by none other than Bennetti Group!!
Rizi had loved Zain with all her heart. She was his most loyal secretary and had helped him in every possible way even in dire situations of saving company secrets from outsiders and suspicious people.
Office of Bennetti Groups:
Rizi opened the door and took long strides towards the man sitting in the CEO's chair in a metal gray suit looking dapper, masculine and dominating as always.
Zain Bennetti, 6.2', 30 years, was born to Italian father and Goan Portuguese mother. His father was a ruthless and tyrannical businessman. Zain got the same traits from his father. Italian looks, well built muscles, green eyes which brew storm and chiseled taut jawline which can make any women's heart flutter.
Rizi clenched her hands into a fist and strode forward step by step spoke in a soft voice "Please revoke this lawsuit considering the last 3 years of our relationship and emotions?"
Rizi was wearing formal work clothes. Black pencil skirt, white shirt and black stilettos. Her jet black hair tied in a decent ponytail and no makeup look with only a tint of pink lip gloss. She was looking fresh as morning dew.
Rizi was born to Goan Portuguese Parents. Her pale extremely fair skin shows wide contrast with her jet black long hair. She was not the hottest or sexiest woman around but her smile and eyes can catch anyone's attention and they will feel an immense urge to protect her. Her 5.4" petite figure doesn't suppress her aura which makes her stand out in the crowd.
She used to show her beautiful smile and coyness in front of him but today there was no enthusiasm.
Only void and pain in her brown eyes.
Zain smirked and in his italian accent he spoke sarcastically "Cara Mia! You truly are your father's daughter. No pride. No shame. No self respect. Haha but well cannot blame you on that. Like father, like daughter. You readily became my lover in your final year of college for money. How can you have proper pride?"
Rizi trembled hearing those blunt and filthy remarks. She trusted him so much but he backstabbed her. She thought she had a proper relationship with him. She was his girlfriend.
Her eyes welled up with tears but she blinked them away. She din't want to give him satisfaction again of watching her broke and hurt. She put her hands on his desk and asked with tiny hope in her heart.
"Last 5 years and our relationship meant nothing to you?"
"Cara mia, you were always a NoTHING to me from the beginning. D'Souza's daughter was destined to be ruined by my hands."
That tiny hope was completely destroyed.
She took a deep breath. A single tear rolled down her right eye "If you will revoke lawsuit, I will do anything you say. And you can do whatever you want to do with me."
Zain raised one eyebrow and pinched her chin "and why would I want that with you? I have plenty of more beautiful, good looking and sexy socialites and models at my feet."
His words were like a knife slicing her heart. A knife which he stabbed and twisted deep inside her. She realized how blind she was. He had never told her once that he loved her. How did she fail to recognize his façade? Was she so foolish? But she must give it to him for his top notch acting skills for all these years.
