Months passed, and the A-1 class of UA had become really close since living together in their dormitory. Midoriya was sad to leave his mother alone, but he was also really happy to be in this lively new home, he who was an only child.
It was the 15th of July. The summer vacation was coming in a few days, and everyone was preparing to go home to their respective families, and it was also, coincidentally, Izuku’s birthday.
After going home to see his mother for a bit (and receiving a beautiful new action figure of All Might as a gift), Midoriya went back to the dorm.
He had not even crossed the threshold that he was welcomed with a loud *BANG* sound. And soon he was covered in glitter and confetti.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEKU !!”
Izuku jumped in surprise and blinked at the group of people rushing towards him. He was soon surrounded by all his friends, and hugged by some. They led him in the foyer and sat him in one of the sofas.
“We all prepared something for you, Midoriya-kun!” declared Iida, holding a small package in his hands.
“Ah, t-thank you very much! You didn’t have to…” Deku said, embarrassed and happy at the same time.
“Of course we did! That’s what friends are for, ha ha!” Eijiro said.
He opened the gifts one by one: a small pack of cookies, trading cards; he received a wide range of presents.
It was his first time receiving such attention for his birthday. Last he could remember was when he used to hang out with Kacchan.
Thinking of him, Deku raised up his eyes and searched for his childhood friend. The latter was seated on the right, he was the only one who had not given a gift to Deku (not that Izuku expected him to), and was once more intently staring at him.
Midoriya had been thinking a lot about Kacchan and his behaviour, and was a lot more conscious of his friend now. He blushed a little and lowered his gaze.
“Thank you, I’m really moved…” Deku finally said, overwhelmed by all those nice gestures.
“It’s not over! We prepared a big cake for you!”
And so, instead of a classical dinner, the whole class ate cake and shared a very pleasant evening.

As he was going to his bedroom, his arms full of presents, Izuku was called by one of his friends.
“Hey Midoriya, want to come hang out in my room?” Kirishima asked.
“Eh?”
“Come on, we’re going to continue your birthday! We even bought something special!” Kirishima continued.
“Tadaa!” Minoru appeared from behind, shopping bags in his hands.
The bags made a clanking sound, which made Deku frown.
“You’re not saying…”
“Yup! Al-co-hol!” Minoru whispered with an evil smile.
“I don’t know…” Deku hesitated.
Kirishima grabbed his wrist and pulled him along with him.
“You don’t have the choice, birthday boy!”
Midoriya entered Kirishima’s room and immediately spotted all his closest friends.
“Hey!” they all exclaimed at his entrance, waving at him.
“H-hey!” he answered back.
Even Iida was here, which was quite surprising coming from the upright boy he was.
“Sit wherever, Midoriya.” Kirishima said as he placed the bag of beer at the center of the room.
All the boys were still standing, as if waiting for Deku to sit first, which made him blush a bit. He decided to sit on the floor, at the end of Kirishima’s bed; and was soon joined by the rest.
Izuku was now surrounded on the left by Todoroki and on his right none other than Bakugou. Deku stared at him with surprise, clearly not expecting that.
“What..?” Kacchan grumbled at him.
“N-nothing!”
Beer was distributed to everyone and they cheered, clinking their cans together.
“To Deku’s birthday!”
They chatted about random stuff, played card games, laughed together at stupid jokes, and the mood quickly became lighter the more they drank. Midoriya seemed to be especially affected by the beer, even though he only drank one can. His face was flushed, his eyes blurry.
“Hey, are you okay Midoriya?” Todoroki asked, worried.
“Y-yeah! I just… think I’m probably… drunk… he he!” Deku replied, turning a smiling face at Shouto.
“Maybe you should stop…” he heard Kacchan warn with a frown.
“Let him drink, it’s his birthday after all!” Minoru said.
And so Deku drank a bit more, to the point where he could barely sit up.
“So Midoriya, do you have someone you like?” Someone asked.
Izuku could no longer see clearly the people around him, they were all blurry.
“O-of course *hic*! I like all of you!” Izuku exclaimed happily.
They all chuckled to his honest response; Bakugou turned his face, raising his eyebrows.
“Well thanks, but what I meant was, do you like, LIKE, anyone?” Minoru insisted.
Deku blinked, not sure what he meant.
“I just told you… I like you all!” he repeated.
And this time he added action to the words. He suddenly changed his position, going on his knees and hugged Todoroki.
“I like Todoroki-kun!” he said, tightening his grip.
And to everyone’s surprise, he planted a kiss on Shouto’s lips. Todoroki seemed conflicted about wanting to push Deku away or not; which Izuku took as an invitation, pressing his lips harder.
Bakugou scowled as he noticed that Todoroki closed his eyes for a split second.
“Okay that’s enough, you drunken nerd!” Kacchan shouted.
He grabbed Deku’s arm and yanked him away from Shouto. Izuku landed on Bakugou’s lap, dazed. The drunk boy twisted his neck and smiled at his grumpy friend.
“And I like Kacchan!”
He rose up, put his arms around Bakugou’s neck and kissed him too.
Another round of gasps rose in the room, but this time it was because they thought Bakugou would explode and hit Deku.
Kacchan was frozen in place, eyes wide, as Deku’s soft lips brushed against his. He fought the urge to pull him closer when Deku moaned, clearly disinhibited by the alcohol. Instead he pulled him apart from him, more gentle this time.
Deku turned his fuzzy head to the next boy, who was Kirishima.
“And I like…”
“Okay, okay, we get it! You like everyone!” Kaminari laughed.
“Err, I think it’s probably best if we stop here, guys…” Kirishima said, clearly shocked by Midoriya's total change of attitude.
“Y-yeah…”
After cleaning the room, the group scattered to their respective rooms, and Kirishima went to throw the trash, leaving Bakugou and Todoroki with Deku.
“I will take him back to his room, Bakugou, so you don’t need to stay.” Todoroki suddenly said.
He started putting one of Deku’s arm around him to help him stand when Kacchan growled:
“Back off, I’ll do it!”
“But I’m his…”
“My room is closer, so just...give him to me!” Bakugou insisted, glaring at Shouto.
Todoroki frowned, clearly hesitating, but finally gave in and let Bakugou in charge of their drunk friend.
“Don’t be mean to him…” he said before leaving the room.
Bakugou picked up Deku and started heading to the drunk boy's room.
