Tony’s cave had been completely destroyed, the rocks had caved in and there were hoof and paw prints littering the ground along with a few spears that were sticking up from where they pierced the ground. Tony and Beatrice looked around worried and shocked.
“Woooooooooaaaaah!!!,” Beatrice exclaimed as Tony stepped closer to the wreckage.
“Mom? Dad? Guys?,” Tony called out.
A wolf from another pack could be heard yelling in the distance. “Hey! They’re over here! They’re ok!,”
A female wolf that looked a lot like Beatrice ran over and hugged Beatrice. “Oh Beatrice, thank God!,”
“Mom?,” Beatrice asked confused.
Beatrice’s mom looked over at Tony looking really upset. Tony caught onto it.
“Wha- What’s wrong? Why- Why are you?,” Tony stammered as Beatrice’s mom let go of her daughter and crouched down in front of Tony.
“Tony, honey, I’m so sorry… There was a stampede… Set off by a human pack… it caught a couple of foxes and your family… trapped them all by a cliff… I’m sorry the humans got to them.. they’re gone,”
Tony looked like he had been hit in the face and gut. “W-What?! All of them?!,”
“Yes. I’m so sorry honey,”
Tony began to tear up. “I-I need to be alone,” Tony choked out before running away.
“Tony?,” Beatrice called out and began to go after him but was stopped by her mom.
“Let him go honey. You can check up on him in a couple days. Let’s get you home,” she said gently.
“Ok fine,” Beatrice said and reluctantly followed her mother the opposite direction.
