I felt my eyebrow frown in fear and confusion. I stayed silent to give him time to tell me.

       “ They tried many times to bare a child, but… it seemed my seed was useless. Not only did they take it from me to impregnate her, they tried on many other women as well. Thinking maybe she was just not fertile.” he laughed in disgust. His face scrunched into so much pain and anger as he cupped his hand firmer to his cheek.

        “ I hate them… I hate them so much, Gil,” he whispered, sinking into himself as he spoke.

I settled to my knees in front of him. My hands trembled in understanding of how angry he felt. To be forced to do something so cruel and humiliating.

I knew this all too well from the things I had done.

The things I was able to get out of.

       My mind began to go red in thoughts of pulling these lycans limb from limb until they begged for forgiveness for what they had done to him. I wanted to show them all that Alric was not theirs to do their bidding. How sickening they are to do something so twisted, not only him but the girl forced into the matter as well. I placed my lips to the top of his head and kissed his silver hair. Breathing in his sweet smell to calm down. Alric placed a soft kiss on the inside of my wrist and entangled his fingers with mine. Kissing my palm and fingertips gently with his ears pulled back. My heart felt like bricks being smashed together with pure adrenaline.

I wanted to take him away, I wanted him to be free of their grasp but… Would he even want to? I’m dangerous, everyone knows me and fears me enough to leave me alone but also, fear me so much that I draw unwanted attention from other bad people. To think of the things he would have to deal with if he were with me and not a pack… my chest felt like it would cave in.

       “ Gil, breath. It’s alright.” Alric’s voice slipped into my ears as he looked up at me, running the back of his hand along my cheek to my ear. He wore such a gentle face, his beautiful purple eyes swollen with tears that refused to run.

       “ But, It’s not alright. What they have done is unforgiving. I should slaughter them all for what they did to you.” my words were acidic as I leaned into him. I could feel my body becoming tight with the desire to fight.

He watched me with a strange look, so many emotions ran through him as he held my shoulders. Rage, understanding, fear, joy, lust.

I could feel my head beginning to swim as his intoxicating scent formed around me again. His soft hands ran their way into my hair and up the front of my shirt. I lifted him with one arm and placed his back to the bed, hovering just above him to give him the access he wanted.

I could imagine he wanted to have sex to forget about everything he has told me. To enjoy some pleasure to bury his pain. But I wanted something more right now. Something I couldn't believe i was thinking.

       “ I’m… going to say something crazy. And I want you to think about it. ok?” I said with a nervous tone.

With an eyebrow raised in wonder, He smiled and relaxed back into the bed.

        “ Mkay. Tell me.”

My mind almost went blank at how beautiful he was laying there with that sweet smile, the blue hue traced over him from the light outside. Small strands of his hair reaching out across the sheets, his black shirt lay loose on his pale skin as his chest rose and fell as he took quick breaths.

       “ I’d like… you to leave with me…if you want.” I whispered.

His smile slipped into a strange look of disbelief. His lips parted and his ears went back as he sat up. His face close to mine.

       “ Are you serious?” His look was stern.

Fearful this was a mistake, I began to move from him, but his hands gripped my shirt tightly, pulling me close to his face again.

       “ Gilaudion, are you serious?” my pulse jumped to my throat.

       “ Yes.” My words fumbled as I tried to not sound like as much of a fool as I felt. “I know it would be hard on you but, I just wanted to ask-” 

Alric slammed a kiss to my lips, hard enough to pinch my bottom lip between our teeth, the taste of iron filled my mouth as he pulled me atop of him again. His tongue ran along mine, sending the tingle of pleasure through my body. His legs wrapped around my waist, pulling me completely onto him. With a deep rumble in his chest he began sucking on my cut lip. I winced as he nipped at it more, opening the cut deeper. I began to groan in pleasure as his hips moved against mine in a steady rhythm. That intoxicating pheromone began to seep from him again, this time much stronger. It felt like my body was being smothered in a pit of hot air. This was going to drive me crazy.

I braced myself over him and ground my hips harder, his head went back breaking our kiss to moan loudly.

       “ oh fuck, yes. yes.” He panted over and over at the rhythm of my grinding between us.

       “ Yes to what?” I nipped at this throat and slid my hand down his small frame. My fingertips trailed his smooth sides. A small shiver ran up his body and his hands ran through my hair again, pulling me face to face with him.

       “ Please take me with you, let me travel with you as your servant, as your pet, whatever you want. I don't care. I just-”

        “ Hey hey hey,” I cut him off, lifting myself from him. He let out a soft wine in protest. “That’s not what i'm saying. You can do what you want. You understand? You don't go by anyone. Not anymore. Not after what they did to you. You make your own choices. You have your own freedom. I’d never do anything you didn't want. I want you to decide if you want to go with me or not.” I said panting over him. His cheeks were flushed from our heat or embarrassment, I couldn't tell. ” I’ll never force you to do anything Alric. ”

His lip twitched into a smile before he let out a soft chuckle.

       “ How is it that the fearsome Red Hunter is actually the sweetest human in existence?”

I felt myself smile as he pulled me into another soft kiss. But a dark thought ran its way into my mind. ‘ I’m really not tho.. Only to you… only for you…’ He licked the cut on my lip, sending that wave through my body again.

       “ You really wouldn't mind tho? Honestly?” his breath tickled my nose.

       “ Mmm I may have a weak spot for these puffy, puppy eyes of yours. So i’d like to keep them around,” I teased.

       “ Oh puppy eyes you say?” Alric laughed, giving me a light push.

I grinned at him before I placed my face into his collar. I took in his heat and scent once again, allowing my head to swim in his aroma before I spoke.

       “ If I'm to be honest...I feel like my heart would shatter and I’d lose my way again if I were to part from you once more. “ As my words sunk into Alrics thoughts I could hear his heart beginning to race.

       “ I’ve never wanted anything in my life as much as I want you. “ My cheeks flushed in embarrassment. I really had no idea what had gotten into me.

Never had I spoken like this… Sweet words of affection and caring about something so deeply. I really questioned what was happening to me.

Alric’s voice was so soft at first I thought I had imagined it. So I looked up at him.

        “ What did you say?”

        “ I said, Show me how much you want me.” Alrics eyes looked deep into my being, All sounds became silent. The air seemed to have become thick like fog. My body tightened like a deer piercing at its killer

        “ Mark me so I am yours”
