Lea adjusted the covers on the girl. Apparently, this girl moves more when she sleeps than she’s awake. If not for her size, she would’ve used up all the space in the bed. If she was any other girl, she would’ve slapped her awake, but seems not. Lea stood to close the windows as the light was hitting her directly in the face. Lo, the small, bamboo gate of the orphanage was left wide open.

Someone was being reckless again. And who could that be? As wild, loud, running racked the stairs leading to the room, it was certain who that someone is.

“ We did it!” Sei stood on the door, hand on his knees, stinking of horse poop.

“ Go out and wash yourself, that is not a request” Lea clasped a hand on her nose, but the constable did not seem to hear as he stepped closer.

“Listen, you’ll like what you’ll hear.”

Lea raised an eyebrow in response. “ Do you have to do it here?”

“ My comrades finally arrested the-”

“Another word. You’ll feel it rain.” Lea brandished a glass of water at him. Then, Sei grabbed the glass and drank it, dousing his face with what is left, then heaved. This man is ridiculous.

" Listen. They found the man guilty of your   brother's case. My comrades arrested him!."

" That easy?"

" According to what I've heard, they have been spying him inside Calare."

Lea's brows furrowed. Only tradesmen and prominent people lived there. Far from their state here in Tanawa. " Is he a man highly-esteemed? I wish not. That will be a problem."

" No worries. He is a tradesman, but the rumor is that he did not even fight back or complain when they brought him."

She sighed and asked," What is his name?"

" Big name. Quite a pity, I do not know his whole name." Lea was clicking her  tongue. Sei heaved a breath,

" Signor Cuore, said to be the mastermind behind the storehouse fire."

Lea paused. Not that she suddenly trusted the people here, still greedy. But something seemed wrong with what he said, she can't even celebrate.

" You've been awake?"

She looked to see Sei staring at the girl. She's staring at her too, at them both. The blankness in the girl has gone.The surprise in her eyes and that hint of accusation in her face must have disturbed them both.

“Qoarre?”

Lea did not understand and it bothered her.
