"Keeukkk...!!" The man screeched as his body collided to a wall.
"...!!" Seeing the scene, Ryan hurriedly looked up, to see Eric on his motorbike. Swiftly making its way down to the ground. Smoothly drifting towards the side with its head pointed towards Ryan.
"Ryan! The hell! Why the f#%k did you leave me behind there!" Eric frowned.
"R-Right... Sorry about that."
"Bah, you left me out of the action." Eric scoffed as he turned to look at the young girl on the ground, "And who is this?"
"Someone that was in trouble," Ryan said as he walked over towards the fallen girl, noticing the injuries on her leg as well as her arms, he slightly raised her torso up as he asked, "Hey... You okay?"
"Ugh..." The young girl slightly opened her eyes in a struggle, "W-who...?" She murmured as her mouth closed. Her eyes slid shut as her body became motionless.
"H-Hey...!" Ryan cried out, "Ack... She fell unconscious..."
"Tsk, then what do we do now? Head back to headquarters?" Eric asked.
"Yeah. That should be the best course of action, it's too dangerous to stay here right now." Ryan said as he stood up, barely able to lift up the young girl's body. "So it's best we head back now..." He said as he slightly stumbled to the side.
"Hey! If you're exhausted, let me carry her."
"No... It's fine. Just put her in the middle and we'll ride on your bike. Should be doable since the headquarters isn't too far from Sector 8."
"You sure?" Eric raised his brow, "It looks like you could fall down at any moment. How would I be sure that you won't lose grip and fall off the bike while I'm riding?"
"That won't happen, I swear."
"Right... Then let's get on a move on before those two wake up."
"The guy you rammed into... He's not dead right...?" Ryan looked over towards the man that had collided to the wall. The man had fallen to the ground on impact and remained unmoving.
"Obviously not. They'll barely survive, I guess." Eric shrugged, "But now's not the time to care about it, go." Eric gestured over towards Ryan.
Clumsily making his way over towards the bike, Ryan placed the girl behind Eric, quickly he got on. Locking his hands onto the abdomen area of Eric so that the girl won't fall off.
"We good? Then let's go." Eric said has shifted into gear.
...
Thuck Thuck Thuck...
Footsteps rang through the hallway in anger, quickly reaching to the end of it. As the footsteps stopped, the man stood in front of a door, as he furiously opened it, heading into the room behind the door.
Taking a footstep into the room, he glared with bloodshot eyes towards the rows of people who dressed like delinquents on one side, then he averted his eyes over towards the other, where rows of men in black could be seen.
"W-Welcome back leader...!" The delinquents greeted, while the men in black frowned.
"Tsk, who the hell let her loose?!" The man shouted in anger.
Hearing the shout, the delinquents shrieked back, as a man from the other row stepped forward, tidying up his suit, he said in a calm voice, "Faulty security on your part. EO207 escaped due to your men who were slacking on the job."
The man glared intensely at the delinquents, soon after he ragingly walked towards the end of the room, heading behind the desk as he sat on it. Quickly bringing out a cigarette as he lit it.
"And what about you?" He spoke indifferently as he smoked the cigarette, "You STILL haven't captured her yet?"
"No. She is a tricky one, she used every means to escape, throwing off our guards, hiding and the like. However, we managed to track her down by the alleyway within Wyvern Street, we sent two men over to capture her." The man in black replied.
"Tsk, can't you get the work done quicker? If that girl escapes then..."
"I assure you. We will recover her-"
As the man was about to end his sentence, the door suddenly slammed open, as a man who seemed to be a delinquent, said in a dreaded voice, "S-She... She got away from the chasers!"
Hearing the cries from the one who intruded into the room, the man's head bulged as he glared towards men in black with bloodshot eyes. "I assure you?" He quoted him, "Hah! What of it now?! Tsk, why did I entrust you scumbags with such jobs?"
The man frowned at the remarks, "If all went according to plan. We would have successfully captured her. The plan going off-course means there was a variable." The man in black looked over towards the delinquent gasping for air, "Pray tell, how did you know E0207 escaped from the chasers?"
"U-Uh... Well... I saw her along with two men... Who..." The delinquent stumbled on his words.
"Speak. CLEARLY." The man behind the desk shouted angrily.
"I saw them with the girl...! On a bike..."
"I see. Did you manage to get a good look on their faces?" The men in black asked.
"No... But... I did manage to get a good look of the bike... It was steel black, one of the latest models I say."
"Latest models?" The man behind the desk said, "Tch, So outsiders intervened? How dare they intrude on my territory?!"
"My~ 'On my territory' you say..." A voice rang through the room from behind the delinquent. "Since when was it YOUR territory, hm?"
Footsteps elegantly rang through the room, as a blonde woman stepped into the room, looking over at the man behind the desk snidely.
"Ah...! Lady Erina! You're here." The men in black bowed down to her upon seeing her arrival.
"Tsk. And who says it wasn't? I rightfully own this place." The man scoffed "You should know your place here."
Erina placed her hand out as she gestured for them to raise their heads, soon after she continued walking over towards the man behind the desk, "My, Rasqui, leader of the vipers. You failed miserably this time, huh? How should I report it to 'her'?"
"You...! You wouldn't dare!" Rasqui cried out.
