Chapter 8
Warning! Chapter contains torture
Andrew
Jacob was staring at his phone like it came alive and told him he'll die in seven days or something. After a few minutes, I grew concerned because he hasn't moved for a few minutes now. I went over and he gave me a terrified look as he passed his phone to me. I placed my one hand on his hip and used the other to take the phone from him. It was the picture of a girl, helplessly bound in chains, gagged and blindfolded like an animal. At first, I was confused. Who is this girl and why is Jacob expressing so much concern for her. Then I remembered he has a little sister and this must be her.
"There was another message," Jacob said as he showed me a text he got earlier.
"We'll get her, yeah? Calm down," I said and turned towards Aiden.
"Hey! Is it possible to trace a text?" Though I know for a fact that text messages are nearly impossible to track, you never really know with Aiden.
"Yeah, not really. Gimme," He said motioning for the phone to be given to him. Jacob walked over and gave his phone to Aiden. He plugged the phone onto his laptop.
"I'll try and giving them a call," He said dialing the number it rung a few times but no one answered. "Give me a few minutes, I'll figure something out." I sat Jacob down in the meantime, and he was scrunching he nose and rubbing his temples as if to relieve some stress.
"We'll find her, We'll find her even if I have to exterminate every other gang in this country," I said, unconciously glaring at a few people from my gang, standing in frony of us. They shivered and I shook my head smiling, trying to motion that it was not them I was talking about.
"I found it!" Aiden exclaimed and Jacob hurriedly ran towards him, I trailed behind.
"Where?! Where is she?!" Jacob shaking where he stood, excitement and terror in his voice.
"I found the source where it was sent from but it's in the middle of nowhere. And both messages were sent from two drastically different locations," Aiden said pointing at the two red dots on different ends of the city.
"That should be enough as a lead," I said as I began to think of the teams that I'm sending out to those areas. "Steve, Clarence! a word please!" I said and took the two men to a separate room.
"What is it boss?" Steve asked, as he snacked away from a cereal bowl.
"Where'd you get that?" I asked pertaining to the cereal, I never bought cereal and my men never had the interest to steal some.
"Oh, this rich guy in a limousine bought some, I didn't know it was in the bag I took from him," He shrugged and I let it pass.
"Okay so we have a situation, Jacob's sister was abducted." I said getting a bit agitated that this threw a rock in our plans. "So send Mark and his men to watch over Jacob's parents. We get to have our revenge, no one else. Clarence, Steve gather your men, Aiden has coordinates of possible locations where the girl might be kept. Head out scan the area and report back here," I told them and they nodded. I left them both to head back where Jacob was seated. A group of men was already forming as both Clarence and Steve assembled their team. It seemed that Jacob looked a bit overwhelmed by the amount of people there were.
"Wendy? Where are you going?" I walked towards her when I saw that Wendy was geared up and was walking with Mark's group.
"Paying the asshole a visit, don't worry. I'm just taking a peak." She promised and walked out the doors, drowned by the sea of men heading out to do their task.
"Aiden, who are available to respond?" I asked and Aiden began asking around who can come to the hideout.
"Apparently, Marge and Trish along with a handful of others can come." He said placing his phone down.
"Get them here now," I said, with the groups out and about the city, I'm afraid they might orchestrate an attack against us. Damn, I should've thought of this sooner but like an idiot, I completely forgot about it.
"Aiden, prepare yourself, I have a bad feeling." I said and he heaved out an exasperated sigh.
"Ugh, I hate getting bloody." He said standing up to go to his room.
Jacob was silent and staring off into space the entire time, which is probably why he seemed unaffected by the fact that I said that something might go down any moment now. He was twiddling with his thumbs, afraid for what might happen to his sister. He started chewing on his nails, which is where I decided to step in and bring him out of whatever is running on his mind.
"Hey," I placed my hand on his and brought it down onto his lap. "It's going to be okay, my men are trained, we'll bring your sister back alive." If she is in those locations that was indicated.
A gunshot rang through the building.
"Stay with me." I told Jacob bringing him up to his feet.
I took out my gun and aimed it head-level.
The hideout is now eerily silent, I can't hear Aiden or the rest who were left. It's just Me, Jacob and whoever the assaillant is. It's dark outside, so I can barely see anything moving. Footsteps, and a body suddenly peeked from the corner, I aimed, ready to shoot.
"It's just me!" Aiden said pushing a guy with a bullet wound on his leg. "And an asshole who tried sneaking up on me," He said kicking the wound, making the guy scream in pain. "That's for almost giving me a heart attack!" Aiden said and sat down on his laptop again, gun back in it's holster. I went to the guy who was writhing in his seat.
"Jacob, look away please," I said as I took out my pocket knife and flipped the blade out. I pressed it against his skin and in one swift cut across his arm. He screamed. It's a shallow wound, so he definitely won't die of blood loss, but if he refuses to tell me anything then he definitely won't live to see another day.
"Who sent you?" I said as I pressed the knife again to a different part of his body, his legs. Before I could make another cut, I heard the cocking of a gun. The guy in the chair smirked up at me as more men emersed from the shadows. Maybe it was the anger that made me slow to react to situations like this. I mean I did predict that it could happen.
"We're here for revenge Andrew," A figure stepped out from the shadows and I really could not, for the life of me, recognize who he was. A bunch of other guys were by the entrance and the kitchen.
"Revenge for what?" I said and moved my hand slightly, but all of them moved slightly forward, warning me to hold still.
"You asshole! You forgot?! You destroyed our business! Packs and packs of cannabis! Lost because of you." He said aiming the gun towards me and as if the gun was some sort of memory giving device, I remember him. It made me laugh.
"Code name, Venom. Right hand man of Viper." I said smirking. Viper was an affiliate to Zander's gang. They were not friends but rather business buddies. So, I often ran errands for them too. I did not loose the shipment of drugs, hell no. I can't let it all go to waste. Wendy, Aiden, and I sold it to some other foreign drug lord that ensured our safety. We moved away and spent the millions of dollars to start our own crew. It's all nothing but business really.
"Yeah! That's right dickwad! Boss' exceptionally mad. We're taking you with us." He said and nodded to the guy to my left who took cautious steps towards me, gun still pointed at my head.
Thump.
Click.
"Nobody shoots and this fucker lives."
A body landed behind Venom's feet, which made him jump and turn around. A gun already pointed directly at him. It was Marge. The moment that their boss was held at gunpoint the rest of the started to scram and leave as fat as they can.
"Marge look out!" I yelled but was too late. As a bullet from one of the men went through her brain knocking her side ways and letting venom escape scathe-free. Or so he thought.
I immediately had my gun out and aimed for his neck, assuming he might duck the last second, but he didn't. He proceeded to run away clasping his neck with both hands. My eyes immediately searched for Jacob. When I was assured that he was still safe, I proceeded to make arrangements for Marge's burial. The rest of Marge's men, came through the door minutes late to back her up. They all gasped in shock, seeing Marge's
As for me? I'm ashamed. I wasn't able to do anything. I wasn't able to protect Marge, to prevent her from dying such a death. If it weren't for her, they might've took Jacob too. I wasn't even able to kill the son of a bitch.
After making the necessary phone calls, I dropped down onto the couch, burying my head into my hands.
"Hey, you lead us this far." Is all Aiden said. I look up to see that his attention was already back to his laptop. I sighed and threw my head back onto the backrest of the couch. Thinking on what our next moves are going to be.
"Hssssss....phfffeewww," A hiss brought my attention back to the injured man, who Aiden shot in the leg.
"Victor, come with me and take this junk with us," I kicked the man's bullet wound as I passed by. Victor is a big, burly man who I usually orders to torture unwanted pests like this one. Victor hoisted the man onto his shoulder, with no trouble at all, and the two of us proceeded to head to the back of the hideout into a small run down shack.
Victor violently threw the man onto a chair and tied him up till his joints looked reddish. We usually start with little to no pain and progress from there.
"Light the candle,"
Victor's stubby fingers will make anyone doubt his with things like these, I don't.
"So, where's the new hideout?" I turned my back to the man for a second, just to grab the candle from Victor.
"Ptew" The spit landed directly on my face, I wiped it off with my free hand. I tiled the candle and let wax continuously drip onto his skin scorching the flesh. He muffled his screams as if it'll make him look tough. I placed the candle down onto a table.
The man was a panting mess, I let him breathe for a second. In one sudden slash, a huge scar formed on his thighs.
"You moved hideouts since the last time I was there? How's the new one?" I pressed the tip of the knife against his forearms.
"Better...without...mpf...you," blood poured out of his open wound.
Picking the candle back up, I let it drip a few times before I was standing in front of him again. I abruptly tipped the candle over his open wound, dripping fresh, hot wax against his flesh. He screamed in agony. I kept at it, covering the entire wound in wax.
We proceeded the torturous act for minutes till he finally gave up and gave us the exact address of their new base.
"Take him to Trevor," I said looking at the poor, dilapidated state of the man. We'll try to let him live. That is, if he can survive.
