Chapter 13
Jacob
My sister sat across from Andrew and me, animatedly speaking about her week in school, occasionally asking Andrew for advice. Not me, I was hurt as a brother that she rather pay attention to my boyfriend than me. But I think she's just excited for me, even if we're not even official, Andrew is the first person who treats me like this. He's also the first to even kidnap me but I think that's not important anymore. Andrew was talking to my sister like she was his sibling and it was the cutest thing to look at. We were in that Italian restaurant, our order arrived a few minutes ago and I was happily digging in while the two of them talked. I was just about to swallow a mouthful of pasta.
"So, when is the wedding?" Shay asked, making me choke on the pasta in my throat. Andrew handed me a glass of water and rubbed my back soothingly. Shay looked at me concerned but I just waved it off because it is just nothing.
"I'm fine, just caught me off guard is all," I said gulping down the whole glass of water, Shay waved down a waiter and asked for refills. The waiter also gave me a weirded out expression as he refilled each of our glasses. I calmed down a few minutes after more coughing and water. "I'm sorry I was just- Marriage- Shay? really? I-we-" I can't believe that my sister is already thinking about something like that, I wasn't even that far yet.
Andrew held my hand on top of the table, effectively shutting me up as all the heat in my body rose to my cheeks. "I think, it's too early to think about that," Andrew said in his usual cool and composed stature. It made me envious of how calm he usually is, always in a position where he can morph the situation into what he likes it to be. He's got everything, everyone, and every situation in his hands, and nobody would even notice till he get's away with it.
"Fine, but if it ever came to that, I want to be the best woman or something," Shay said earning a chuckle from Andrew.
"You can be your brother's bridesmaid," Andrew said fully snickering now. A couple who was a table overheard our conversation and looked over at us with a smile. I didn't know if they found us cute or amusing but I was definitely embarrassed to the core. I smacked Andrew's arm, which felt like stone against my hand and probably didn't affect him at all.
Our lunch was filled with friendly banter and Andrew's occasional thievery of kisses, which threw Shay into a squealing fit almost every single time.
"Should we shop for wedding gowns?" Shay asked walking in step with Andrew as I followed behind them, embarrassed that they were talking about having me in a gown, ME. "I think he'll look good in like a mermaid, or no?" Shay was animatedly talking to Andrew, and the man would give her answers that just humor her even further, it was a 2v1 situation and-
"Jacob!!!" A girl ran up towards us. She was wearing a body tight, knee-length dress with a furry leotard jacket, came full speed towards us.
"Oh, dear. Andrew, hurry state your claim, b!tch alert at 10 o'clock," I heard Shay whisper, and in an instant, Andrew had his arm on my waist protectively pulling me closer towards him. It didn't faze the girl as she awkwardly ran towards me and wrapped her arms around my neck. I didn't know her. How did she know me? I don't have a clue.
"You know her?" Andrew whispered towards me when the random woman was suddenly hugging my sister too.
"Not a clue."
"Does she need to be killed?"
"Not yet, I think."
Andrew pulled back looking at me, scanning as if he can't believe it was actually me. "You're growing too desensitized to what I say," Is all he said as the woman turned to face us again. She had a huge and creepy smile on her face, and even if Andrew glared at her, she did not falter even one bit.
"Who are you?" I decided to finally ask after she literally just smiled and stared at me for a solid minute.
"Your future wife."
"Definitely not," Andrew was the one who answered for me, making Shay giggle where she stood. His stare looked deadly, He's using his mafia boss look that makes every single man in a room tremble, even if it wasn't directed to them. She glared right back at him as if she wasn't fazed by this ma, that's probably because she doesn't know what he's really capable of.
"What do you mean?" I asked, breaking the tension between the two, and honestly just wanting to get down to what is happening here.
"Your father signed a contract with my father that basically states that we should get married." She finished off with a smile. I felt Andrew trembling with anger as I held onto him, I could even see how hard he was clenching his fists trying so hard to hold himself back. I placed my hand on his arm, trying to calm him down. It did little to no good.
"Look, uhm what's your name?" I asked towards the girl, who looked a little offended that I was entirely unaware of who she was.
"Lizzy," She huffed, shuffling her purse from one arm to another.
"Look, Lizzy, I don't know what my father told you but I'm not really looking for a wife right now, I'll talk to my dad about this," I said and the girl just released an angry sigh.
"Whatever, he'll give you to me eventually, see you soon to plan our engagement," she said and tiptoed to give me a kiss on the cheek.
"I'll have her kidnapped and deported," Andrew whispered to himself, still glaring at the girl's back, who is now a few good meters away from us. Shaina didn't hear what he said but I sure as hell did. "Let's see what good you are without your phone," Andrew said menacingly as he pulled out an iPhone situated in a big phone case, typical rich girl phones. Andrew pocketed it away fast enough that, again, Shay wasn't able to see it.
I pinched Andrew's neck and he snapped out of whatever stupor he was in to look at me.
"Ouch, what was that for?" He asked rubbing the skin, though I doubt I did that much damage if I even did any.
"You got her phone," I whisper-shouted quickly.
"She got on my nerves, it's a fair bargain," Andrew said as Shay led us away to buy a "few" items of clothing.
And when I heard a few, I thought maybe just a few tees and a pair of pants or so. I didn't expect I'd be fitting on like 20 outfits AND buying them all as well. What shocked me was Andrew, he pulled everything off well and all of it looked good on him. Shay left us while Andrew had on blue shorts and a striped shirt, it made him look like a teen nerd. But damn did he still look hot. He was fixing his hair in the mirror when he caught sight of me watching him. It was quick, but he was then in front of me. One of his hands was in his pocket while the other was on the wall beside my head.
"Sir, maybe you could re-consider giving me that A+ on the last test," He said, taking my tie in between his fingers, eyeing me as he licked his lips. "Please...I would do...anything." He said getting closer and closer as he finally touched my lips with his, the feeling was incredible. After going so long as half a day without kissing him. I kneaded my fingers in the hair he was trying so hard to fix prior, but he didn't really seem to care that much as he just continued on kissing me. We pulled apart when we heard approaching footsteps, I straightened out my clothes as much as I can since Andrew liked groping so much, my clothes kind of creased. He was also adjusting his shorts seeing as something was poking and damn was it really POKING.
He tried to fix it as much as he can but ended up just entering the dressing room as Shay approached with even more clothes.
We went for a movie last, the seats were one of those, where you can easily push up the armrests in between. Andrew had his arm around me the whole movie and around halfway, I even fell asleep but I woke up and heard Andrew and Shay talking about it with each other excitedly. Shay left for him first, leaving me and Andrew to stroll the mall's centerfield, the garden thing on our own. The mall's structure was like a big oval, with the stores being inside and an open-air spot in the middle. There were fountains and lights and trees, It all looked fake greenery but hey, how would I know?
"Jacob, be mine," Andrew said suddenly, I was so shocked that I came to an immediate halt. I looked at him, shocked but he just stared back at me in all seriousness. His eyes were firm and he stood his ground, face stoic without the hint of a smile that signals that he was kidding.
"I-I," I want to, I really really want to. But he just caught me so off guard that I don't know how to respond.
"I know my lifestyle isn't really ideal. I have endangered you and your sister multiple times. And if you do choose to stay with me, there's no telling the amount of danger we might get into but, I want to be there for you, I would protect you and do anything for you," He said, not caring that we're in public and tons of people has just heard the confession of his undying affection. "But, again if you don't want to, it's fine. You're still our hostage though and you know, I promise everything's going to be the way it will be. Or if-" Seeing him babble continuously with red cheeks is such a stretch from the impression that his appearance would leave on you.
I shushed him by placing a small peck on his lips, he instinctively wrapped his arm around my waist. Like he usually does.
"Stop worrying, of course, I'll be with you, there's nothing else that I would ask for," I said and pulled him until we were underneath a tree, where there were less people. I full-on kissed him, wrapping my arms around his neck and pulling back with a laugh.
"Whoo- thank God you agreed, my last resort would've been to just tie you up so you can't leave." He said with his still serious expression, which made me question if what he's saying is true or not. He must've seen the look my face, "Of course I'm kidding," he said, giving me a peck.
"You are an ass," I said laughing as I pulled away from him, his hand intertwining with mine as we continued walking.
"You're mine now so you can't get married to that wh0re earlier," He said glaring forwards as if he can see that Lizzy girl in front of him.
"Of course I won't, I'll just talk to my father and whatever he's on about," I said, dad never did this kind of things before. Sure he's not the best father, wait that's an understatement, he's a terrible parent. But still, he shouldn't- wait, not.
I wouldn't put it past my father to do something like this. "Anything for the business," he would always say. It's his business that matters more than me, it's his baby and I'm just an unwanted child born out of a broken condom. Of course, he would look at his business as his prime child and I'm just a disposable asset.
"He better call, whatever this bullshit is, off or else I'mma kill him,"And if looks could kill, my father would already be dead.
