Andrew
It was midday and my team was scouting the perimeter of the house, I was situated a few miles away watching on a laptop what's happening. It was the end of the week for us, tonight we execute the plan we have been conceptualizing the whole week. I can't wait to go back to Jacob, it's been way too long. Aiden sat beside me, watching over the computer with me. Wendy was with the scouts, up in trees, hidden in bushes or blending in with the crowd. The congressman who wants the gangs to be all eliminated, Mr. Evans, held a party for her daughter's 18 birthday. It's in this remote mansion-like cabin in the middle of the woods.
There are approximately 100 guests, all will be leaving after the party, leaving only the family inside. That's when we're going to strike.
"Aiden, You should've totally come with me in here, we could've danced," Steve teased, making the boy beside me blush intensely.
"Focus on your job Steve," Aiden said, which earned a laugh from the man who was blending in the crowd. There weren't that many of us here, honestly, this could've been a one-man job, but we plan to execute this to make it look like he just upped and left with a mistress. That way, he'll be dead and his name's going to be ruined. If I was the way I was before, I would've had no problem with massacring the whole family just to get it over and done with. But thinking that Jacob might find out about this, I would rather have as fewer casualties as possible.
"Evans is arriving, I repeat Evans is arriving," Wendy said as a limo pulled up in front of the mansion, Evans walking out arrogantly. We watched from the cameras installed on the shirts of my men. We wanted to leave no trace behind so we thought that it would be too precarious to set up cameras, so we just have men walking around on the treetops, surveilling the exterior of the mansion, with cameras attached to them. They're like roaming CCTV cameras.
"I see him," Steve said, I have half a mind to change and just go straight to plan F, which is to assassinate in midday through food. The quicker the better right? The quicker we finish this the quicker I get back to Jacob.
"Alright change of plans, Let's go with F," I said and I heard shuffling as one of the men changed positions to take place outside the back, where the chefs walk out to throw trash. Just in time, two came out and were immediately attacked by Wendy and another guy, who dressed in the clothes. They pulled the naked chefs aside, taking their place as they went in.
"I have sights on the wife," Steve said and I could see by his camera that the wife was indeed just a few meters from him.
"Don't plant it yet," I said as I looked at the two cameras roaming in the kitchen. Mr. Evans is a picky eater, this is probably due to his insane allergies. That's why he always has his own food made for him, and a bodyguard to taste it for him before he takes a bite of it.
"Wendy, there he is 10 o'clock," I said spotting the personal bodyguard picking up the dish meant for Evans.
"Nelson, let's go," Wendy said, pertaining to the man who was also in the kitchen. They cornered the man in the hallway, Wendy knocked him out and Nelson caught the dish, keeping it safe and unharmed. They undressed the man and Wendy put it on. Nelson gave her the arsenic and the dish that was in a silver platter. The guests were still enjoying their time, partying with no care in the world.
"Go plant it," I told Steve who stealthily placed an empty bottle of arsenic in the purse of the wife. The father stood on stage calling for everyone's attention.
"I'm out of here," Steve went out through another exit, whose guard laid there unconscious, it is where he entered from earlier.
"Cut the CCTV Aiden," I said and he took over my spot in front of the laptop, he cut the footage and resumed the rest. We placed them on loop before the mission started.
Wendy did a whole show of tasting part of the food that had no arsenic in them. After that, she slowly but surely slipped away, going unnoticed by anyone at the long dining table. She was dressing the unconscious bodyguard when the screams erupted in the dining room, her original long flowy dress back on.
"Nelson?" Wendy asked through her earpiece, it was complete chaos in the ballroom area.
"GUARD ALL EXITS!!! MAKE SURE NO ONE LEAVES!!!" A guard's voice boomed through their intercom, of course, we tapped into it so we now have access to everything that can and will go down.
"Wendy, Nelson, guards have repositioned by all exits, you guys might have to improvise," I said as I saw that, true enough, there are three or more guards at every exit possible, watching for any signs of suspicious movement. The dining area was still complete chaos. The debutant is sobbing in her mother's arms, as a man, in a sparkly blue tux, talks to 911 on the phone.
"Wrap it up and meet in the rendevous point, you too Aiden," I said as I shut the laptop and handed it to him, as he began to pack away all of his things.
"Got it, wait, where are you going?" Turning back to respond, I saw that he completely stopped packing up.
"To help Wendy and Nelson," He shrugged, finishing up packing and followed me with his backpack on.
"Let's go."
Not bothering to argue, I continued my trek around the house, spotting an open window on the second floor. I got up on a tree and saw that the room was a master's bedroom of sorts and there are no guards.
"There's one guarding the door," Aiden pointed out, I hopped onto a different tree and saw that, in fact, there's a single guard that's keeping watch outside the room.
"They can handle one," I said as I switched to my earpiece,"Wendy, there's an exit on the second floor. West wing, farthest door with a single guard."
"Thanks, on the way there."
I saw them appear from the staircase, the guard immediately turned his attention towards them. It looked like they weren't going to be let pass but the guard surprisingly relented. Letting them in the room. But once they passed the guard, Wendy turned around and shot the man straight in the head, yielding in more screams coming from the first floor.
"SECOND FLOOR, SOMEONE'S UP THERE!!!" The intercom's loud and clear in my ear as I watch Wendy stuffed her stockings in the man's mouth and used the other to tie it in place. She pulled the body and push it out the window, the body landing with a loud and wet thump on the cement floor. The two on the second floor used his body, as heinous as it may seem, they used the body as a landing pad. I jumped from the tree and helped them carry the body to the tree line. The stocking was extremely wet with the blood but I'm sure as hell glad they didn't make a mess, or else it would've been bad.
"Let's go, we have done what needed to be done," I said, taking off in front of them as Aiden and Nelson helped each other in carrying the body, Wendy taking Aiden's equipment from him."You're just excited to go home to Jacob," I could practically sense the smirk on her face as I heard her say this. Sure I was excited to go back to Jacob, we've been up in these mountains for a week, it's completely atrocious to have to do this just so we won't be wiped out.
My phone chimed, notifying me that I received a message. Thinking nothing of it at the moment, I tucked it back into my pocket as the four of us headed back to where the vans were parked. I saw the vans in the distance, a cop car pulled to the side as two cops were in position, waiting. The rest of my men were still up in the trees or hiding in the bushes, I can see bits and pieces of their equipment glinting in the sun.
"Stand down, let me take them," I said through my earpiece, making sure that all of them heard. My men backed away a bit, showing me that it's all up to me now. I took a deep breath, planning what to do in my head before I head out there. The plan is to convince them that it's family vehicles and that I'm leaving with them in a bit. If it works, then yay. If it doesn't then they're going to have to die and be thrown down the cliff. And truthfully, since I want to be over and done with immediately, if they don't leave at my first attempt, then they die.
"Officers, what-"
"Hands up where I can see them!" They said, pointing their guns at me.
"Fine, kill them."
"What-" Two of my men jumped out from the trees, jumping onto the cop and twisting his neck. Another charged at the cop and broke his neck right afterward.
"Hello? Officer Davis? Officer Hawks? are you there? over," The radio on the cop car blared to life, a woman on the other side was speaking in a rushed and worried tone. I walked over to the car, signaling to my men to bring the corpses with them. Pulling the radio off of its placeholder, I tried to reach out.
"Hello, Officer Salami here, over-" I waited for a response, feeling like they won't really give me one. I was about to put it back when the woman spoke once more.
"Who is this?"
"No matter, but I do have one thing to say," I said and took a deep breath, dropping my voice as low as I can humanly muster. "We influenced and watched as Sophia Evans, who has been pushed past her breaking point, to kill her own husband in cold blood. This is for the war that Evans has started and will eventually take to his grave. To anyone who wants to continue what Evans has started, we can't promise a fate better than what has happened to this putrid family." I said lying as though it's second nature to do so. I got out of the car as we seated and buckled both dead officers in the front.
"Kenny?"
"You got it!" The man grabbed something from inside his bag and chucked it inside the car as they pushed the car off the edge," Tally ho'! ," A loud explosion followed not long after, fire, metal and burning remains were the only things left from the explosion. Wendy zipped up the body bag, roughly forcing the body to fit in the small compartment that we dedicate for corpse transportation. Clarence was humming along to the tune on the stereo, until it was interrupted suddenly by a news flash.
"This just in, Harry O. Evans has been murdered by his own wife, Mrs. Sophia H. Evans. Though she pleads innocence, her lawyer pleads mental instability.. Cops have found a bottle of **** inside her purse, Mr. Evan's body, as of now, is taken to be autopsied." The report gets cut off for a few minutes, murmuring voices can only be heard on the other line. "There's new information connecting the murder of our beloved congressman and the fight he was putting up for. Here is a message from an unknown individual." I heard my voice sound out from the radio, feeling proud as I feel the pride of my gang members rises. Indicated by the smiles that were on their features. "Completely and utterly bone-chilling, The call was received at exactly 2:30 pm from the cop car of Officer Carol Davis and Officer Shane Hawks. The two said officers are sadly discovered dead by reinforcements that came to the spot of the crime. Only their burning remains were seen as the car was predicted to have broken breaks and fell over the edge, sending the two to their unfortunate deaths.
This begs the question, are we all just at the mercy of these gangs that are running the streets?"
