A couple of years have passed by and now I'm 6 years old. I managed to awaken my mana core just a week ago. It took me so long because I was too young to gather mana and without mana, I couldn't build my mana core. But none of that matters now because now I'm an apprentice dual mage. That's supposed to be good but it turns out it isn't. Master has been training me non stop since I've awakened my mana core even though I'm still a child, but I respect him for doing this since this is for my own good. I haven't even left the house until I awakened my magic core since I didn't wanna get behind on training. Today is the first time I'm going to town since my father sent me to pick something up from the guild. Oh, yea I also started to call Ed my father since he was the closest thing to a father. I started to get ready for the trip to the guild when my father said
“Give this to Ellen and James for me yea?”
I caught what looked like a scroll and a bag. I asked what was in it but he stayed silent. I just nodded and left the house.
Everything was going well until I noticed a group of kids that looked around my age was following me. I walked a little faster to see if it was just a coincidence but then they started to run after me. I was starting to get annoyed so I stopped and waited for them to catch up to me.
“Why were you running from us punk,” One kid said
“Why were you following me in the first place”
I was starting to walk away when they just rushed at me and blocked my path. This was my first day out here. Why did I have to deal with this nonsense?
“Give us what you got and we will let you go,” said the kid who looked like the leader. He had blond hair and he looked like the bossy and arrogant type.
“I can't I have to give this to somebody,” I said
“Well too bad get him, boys,” said the bossy kid.
I didn't want to hurt these kids so I was just gonna run away, I don't want to get into trouble with my father and master. I gathered mana around my legs and sprinted past them knocking some of them down. They tried to catch up to me but I just left them in the dust...
