“Oh dear,” says Noah, “I think we should run.”
“Yep. That’s probably a good idea.”
Max picks up his bag and him and Noah start running back towards the large oak tree that hangs over the railway bridge. Noah climbs onto a branch and when he sees Max’s hesitation, he holds his hand out for Max to take. Noah then climbs down the tree and Max throws him his bag before climbing down too. Noah then shouts for Max to follow him and they run through the streets until they get to the main road.
“They’re going to trim back that tree now that they know people can get onto the tracks from it.” Says Noah, panting.
“It’s fine. I know a different way anyway.” Replies Max. “My house is right next to the tracks, so I usually just put a wooden plank out to walk across, although I guess I can’t do that anymore either.”
“Well, at least we haven’t been arrested, and running away from an authority figure is always a great bonding experience, right?”
Max chuckles. “Yeah, I guess.”
“So...Do you wanna come back to my place? It’s just round the corner.” Noah asks.
“Ok, yeah. It’s not like I can go anywhere else.”
The boys start walking and once they get to Noah’s house, they walk upstairs to his room. The first thing Max noticed was the gay pride flag and the bisexual pride flag hanging above Noah’s bed. As Max put his bag down and Noah put his phone on a charger, they hear someone walking up the stairs.
Noah hisses at Max to hide in his wardrobes before going outside and...
