(Gamer's POV)
"Gamer, it'll help me a lot more if you told me exactly why you did it" I crossed my arms, not answering the guidance councilor. Alex found me cutting myself and reported it, yeah I know he was being a good friend, but now my study periods have been changed to me sitting in the guidance councilor's office to 'talk' about it. "Gamer, the sooner you tell me why, the sooner you can get out of here" "If I tell you why, you'll get rid of something that isn't the problem and then I'll be even more 'depressed' " I growled, I really hate being here, I always feel like I'm being interrogated for a bullshit excuse. "I promise you that what you say won't leave this room, and will never be mentioned to any teacher or student" "...then have you ever cut yourself because everyone you were living with found out your best friend kissed you?" I kinda said harshly, making the councilor feel taken back a bit "I-" the bell went for the next class "It's a shit reason isn't it?" I grabbed my stuff "No it isn't, and it's not the first time I've heard it nor the first time I've helped a student overcome it" the councilor quickly wrote some stuff in her journal, then grabbed a light-blue slip and wrote something on it before giving it to me. "What is this?" "It's a slip teachers give students if they hold them back during a different class, give that to Mr Phantom once you get to class and you won't get in trouble for being late" I walked out of the guidance councilor's office and rushed over to the school hall. I walked into the hall "Gamer-" I gave Erik the slip "Alright, go get changed".
I walked into the changerooms, over to my locker "Hey Gamer…" I ignored Death as I got changed, noticing that he gave up then and there. Ever since last week, I've been avoiding, ignoring and not talking to Death. I partly blame him for what happened, if he never kissed me, this won't be the situation we'd be in. Because of what I did to myself afterwards, Death gave Leo a black eye the next day which Leo still has and because of that, Death has two weeks of detention. And Leo? He's been given detention and cleaning duty for the rest of the term. I put a new bandage around my left arm and walked out of the changerooms as Erik and Ianthe had already started assessing a few students with the assignment. Ianthe walked over to me "So Erik and I already explained the assignment with the class. But I'll repeat it for you. You'll be going head to head in combat with one of these Red Army trainers, the aim is to win" "Okay?" Ianthe walked back over to Erik. "Angel. Akire. Your turn" Angel and Akire walked over to a different trainer "Remember the rules. If you draw a weapon, you can only use it as defense nothing else, your goal is to make them surrender, no serious injuries" like that, the trainers started to attack as the two girls blocked the attacks until Akire kicked one of the trainers to the ground "Akire, pass" Akire smiled as she helped up the trainer while the other trainer held Angel's arm. Angel flipped backwards, twisting the trainer's arm as they hit the ground face first, Angel sat on their back, holding their arm until they gave up "Angel, pass" Angel got off the trainer and helped them up "Gamer. Death. You're up" I didn't bother making eye contact with Death as I walked over to one of the trainer "Remember the rules". Like that, the trainer started attacking me, I dodged what I could, blocking a few attacks "P̷͋͒ͅr̶̡̫͑͗o̸̧͑v̵̠͛e̵̘͝ ̸̢̯́̋t̵̜̲̓ǒ̶͙͔͂ ̵͈̲͛̇ț̸̩̿ḧ̵͚͔́͝ḛ̸̀m̶̡̐͜ ̶̺̈́ĥ̵̼o̸̦͚̓w̵̑͗ͅ ̵̛͙͘ḍ̸̙̓́a̵̛̙͖ṉ̸̛̅g̶͠ͅe̶̛̝͆r̶̰̯̄͠ö̷̯ū̶̗s̴̠̀͝ ̶͈͍́̕a̵͔͕̽̌n̷̨̙͂d̵̡̯̐̑ ̵͙͆̋ṕ̶̈́͜o̴̙͋̑w̸͇̕͝ẹ̸͙̀͝r̴̫̒͝f̵̜̺̓u̷̱͑ͅl̶̬̱͌̍ ̸͍͛̈́y̷̠̋̄ơ̶̻̚ͅű̶̺ ̶͎̬͌c̶̭̠͌ä̴͈́͌ň̸̲͌ ̸̫͌b̷̗̫͂e̸͓̻͂̌... k̵̩̅i̸̪͊l̸̬̇ḽ̷̕ ̷̜̔t̷̥͛h̴͈̕ė̶͎ṁ̵̻" I tried to ignore the voice, but something came over me, the next thing I knew, I side-kicked the trainer to the ground, stood over them summoning my spear and holding it to his throat, the trainer gave in as I got control over my body again "Gamer... pass" Erik said as I stepped away from the trainer, for a second I saw a hint of worry on Erik's face....
(Death's POV)
Okay, now its eating me. Gamer avoiding and not talking to me is painful. This is a version of Gamer I never see, but I already hate it. I passed the assignment as well, Erik let the people who've completed go back to the dorm house. I waited at the dorm house, soon seeing Gamer walk over towards the front door "Hey Gamer-" he turned his head "I just want to talk-" he ignored me and went to open the door until I grabbed his arm "Just listen for a bit. You don't have to talk or look at me, but please listen" Gamer hesitantly stopped trying to get free of my grip. "I know you blame me for everything that's happened to you the past few weeks, its okay cause I blame myself too, but... I've tried apologizing all last week and this week and you kept making it hard to do that. I'm sorry, for everything I've done... all I'm asking is one last chance to be your friend... please" he stood there for a bit. Until he finally looked at me in the face "You're an idiot, you know that, right" "Yeah...." Gamer looked away for a bit and signed "Fine, last chance-" I hugged him, hearing him laugh a bit at my reaction...
(No one's POV)
Angel smiled as she saw two of her friends finally acting like themselves again, she walked over to her bed and sat down, finally writing on the first page of the school journal...
Angel's Journal entry #1:
Coming to E.U was a good idea, but also a horrible mistake. I'm worried for my friends whose powers are slowly eating them... I haven't dared to read the journal yet because of Akire's last vision which I hope doesn't become someone's actual future. There's no telling what lies on its pages... so its about time I found out.....
(Aristomache's POV)
"Are you sure?" "Only her word was used as evidence, nothing else points to her... she was innocent the entire time" Jackal said, going through the documents of a case "There's no way, she confessed in front of a whole court during a meeting. Why would she confess if she's innocent-" "To protect someone" Jackal interrupted me, I turned to face him with my arms crossed "How important could the person she was protecting be? She didn't trust anyone at all" I said, leaning on the desk as my cousin looked up at me. "Perhaps not that special or important, but by guilt"....
