Ryun felt weak, the dense smoke was starting to infiltrate in his system. Quickly, he covered his nose and mouth with his dusty clothes as he crawled through the hallway. His first escape route was the main entrance, but when he got to the stairs, the only thing he was able to see were the intense flames. The structure had collapsed, only leaving rubble on the place that had hosted hundreds of happy guests.
Ryun remembered studying the map of the mansion, but his memory felt dizzy and he didn't have time to research in it for too long. He continued to the left hall, if he was lucky enough, the fire hadn't affected that side and he could escape from a window.
But as every minute passed, breathing was becoming an even harder task. His vision was blurry, his legs were getting weaker, he felt he was going to die. Maybe it was his desesperation, maybe his fear, but he used all of his strength to continue, yet, just conviction wasn't enough. His legs gave up and Ryun felt his eyes slowly close, as hard as he tried to keep them open, they resigned, surrounded by a rain of fire.

He peeked the scene from the door´s frame, even when his mother told him to not see. It was hard to see clearly what was happening, all curtains were closed and there was barely a candle lighting the room.
“It will heal quickly, you were really lucky.” She said in a low voice tone, only meant for the man lying on the bed to hear.
“The risk was worth it.” The man answered, then sighed “I couldn´t let you there, not after what you did for us.”
The child´s mother only smiled slightly as a response, the proceeded to change the bandaging surrounding the man´s right shoulder, all the way to his forearm.
“Rest for today, call me if anything happens.” She said before heading her way out of the room, carrying her tools and the old bandaging. The child tried to hide quickly, but his mother came first. She looked at him, not angrily, but her eyes showed an emotion she wasn´t ready to talk about with her son.
“Hey, want to play outside for a while?” asked while showing her best smile, just for him. The child nodded excited, then went to search his toys.

The first sensation he felt was pain, on his head, throat, chest, almost every part of his body. As he opened his eyes, he tried to move his head in search of people, and he did found them.
His blurry vision allowed him to see people lying in different beds, one next to each other. Indeed, Ryun was at some hospital, which meant he had been rescued. But, by who?
“Marya, he is waking up.” A distant voice announced, Ryun felt too weak to look for the voice owner.
“Let me check him.” Another person answered, Ryun could sense something was being done to him, yet he didn´t speak or move, every inch of his body felt exhausted.
“He will be fine, but can you still try to reach the Central Hospital? We need to transfer him.” The nurse nodded at Marya´s intructions and ran back to the reception, maybe they would be lucky enough to receive back the call they were expecting.
Ryun lost sense of time, he lost track of everything that was happening, not even knowing if he fell asleep or was fully conscious. Until, he was able to fully open his eyes and see his surroundings. He tried to speak, but his throat was dry and the solely intention to speak provoked an intense pain. A doctor noticed Ryun and searched for a glass of water, then reached it to him quickly.
“It´s okay, open your mouth a bit, it will make you feel better.” She indicated and Ryun followed her instructions, the water of the glass travelled through his throat and relieved the strong sensations. “I´m Marya Hedern, you are right now at…” she hesistated a bit before answering “At a transitory place, we will try to transfer you as soon as we can.” She tried to smile, but Ryun noticed she was trying too hard to do it. Marya whispered, more to herself, something between the lines of "Give me a minute…" before leaving to another patient a few meters away from him. Ryun couldn´t see the patient, the bed was surrounded by nurses. He looked away and focused on trying to sit, he still lacked a lot of strength, but didn´t appear to be in a severe state of health. When he was able to see the place better, Ryun noticed it felt…different. It was rather small, he didn´t see a big amount of staff, and Marya appeared to be the only doctor there, she went from a patient to other non-stop. Ryun would have just assumed it was some small hospital running deep inside the city, but he felt out of place. Some patients would look at him and then glare away, nurses spoke in a slow voice, and the doctor´s behaviour was strange. It felt as if the people there feared him when it´s normally the opposite situation.
Hunters were a sign of protection, security, citizens trusted them with their lifes, that was why their job was so valuable. But there, the atmosphere felt tense, like if he was invading that space with his presence.
