OLIVE
For the last couple hours, sicky and me have been chillin' up here on the roof, waiting for our two dummies that totally left us stranded here! Sure, I could survive on my own, but it takes more than two people to play Cards Against Humanity.
About four hours into our watch, I saw a figure come sprinting like no tomorrow into the parking lot below. It was my best friend June! And some zombies! One of the zombies looked vaguely familiar - the one that was closest on her tail.
June was screaming for us to let down a rope, so I shoved sicky to go fetch one. He ran back downstairs to dig through his bag. I threw my last two stars down at the zombies, but I only hit one, and it wasn't the closest one to June. And right after that, June tripped over a parking block.
Sicky comes barging out of the doors with his bag, threw it down and took aim at the zombies. He's a super sucky sharp shooter. Fortunately, he was able to slow a couple of them down.
I opened the bag, and out popped Arizona. She was totally battle-ready, gun in each hand, and a folded hangglider on her back. She didn't even say hi to me after four whole hours, and pressed a button, which made the wings of the glider pop out, and she jumped over the edge. I tried to grab her, but I barely missed her long black hair as she glided down, putting holes in zombie heads.
When she finally got close to the ground, the blue zombie that was advancing on June reached up and snagged the glider wing, pulling her down. June fired as many bullets as she could at it, but that zombie was fueled by too much hunger to release Arizona.
I looked over to Yuri, but he was already on his way down the rope meant to help June up.

I tried to stop him - he didn't know what he was doing! But he didn't listen. He took his -one- gun with him down there and sprayed bullets in all directions like a crazy person.
I get that he had to save his sister, but he didn't get that his sister was already being snacked on.
Then it hit me. The zombie had that one silver streak of hair. It still had most of its clothes on, too. I recognized it as Jared, that other guy in our band of misfits! Poor guy. Yuri was gonna murder him dead. I noticed that June couldn't do it herself, anyways, 'cause she was crying up a girly storm. She probably liked him, or was scared of him, or maybe she was just so happy to see me again that she was in tears. It could've also been the fact that Arizona was now in a thousand fleshy pieces.
I decided it was time to take action myself. I grabbed a bottle of lighter fluid out of Yuri's bag and climbed down the rope. The zombies were advancing on us. I shoved Yuri when I got to him, and demanded he hand over the fancy lighter he used to light his joints.
Delinquent kids! Sometimes they're good to have around!
He gave it to me, no questions asked. I sent him and June back to the rope up. They both went, both sobbing.
The group of zombies loomed over me, and I pointed the bottle of lighter fluid at them, then squeezed, waving the bottle around and circling the group to not miss any. Then I opened the silver lighter and threw it on the Jared zombie. All of the zombies simultaneously burst into flames.
I grabbed Arizona's hat and ran back to the rope.

The walk to the dome was awkwardly silent. June walked ahead, boomstick loaded, Olive in the middle as a buffer, and me at the back. The ladies understood my grief, and I understood theirs...or at least June's. I just didn't trust myself to speak to her or even be around her, because it was her ex-lover that gorged itself on my sister. I had too much pent-up energy to not snap. Not that she wouldn't end me with just a look.
June led us expertly to the dome from the parking lot, which reeked of roasted flesh and burnt mushrooms. I was glad to finally get the smell of my dead sister off me, which happened coincidentally as we saw a guard stand to greet us. She said her name was Princess, and demanded our weapons before entering the dome. I happily gave her my gun. The gun I was unable to save Arizona with. I was no good with a firearm.
When we were in, Princess led us to a tall tower building and assigned us a room - all three of us in one small classroom. After we saw the room and Princess transported beds up to it and transported our weapons and other various dangerous items that couldn't end up in the wrong hands down to a locker room, I decided to have a word with her. I told her I would not rest until the man who was responsible for the death of my only family was brought down.
I was in full-on rant mode, blubbering and shaking my fists, when June entered the room to put in her two cents. She put her hand on my shoulder and gave me a look that meant she understood my pain, and I nodded and left.
I could hear her and Princess behind the door, though, discussing the ways they would arm me.
