My ears were buzzing like hive of bees. It was excruciating. I was feeling like a corpse on an autopsy table, yet I feel every knife cut. I don't want to breath.
My lungs were crushing under fiery pressure. I thought my body would collapse in itself.
"Hey you! Don't go slacking off again."
What the hell?! Can't I just die peacefuly?
Wait…
I'm not dead. (that was the moment I lost my mind)
"What. The. F-" (for intended purposes, I won't tell you exactly what I screamed)
I was sitting on fresh grass under an oak tree. The breeze gently caressing my face I gracefully got up… was what I would want to but unfortunately, I woke up with a cane poking my face with bugs all over me.
"Aaahhhkkk get off of me you little devils!"
My poor future maid comrades were shocked.
The blonde one with the cane rubbed her temples.
*sigh*
" Alex! Hurry up, the head maid expecting everyone in the kitchen."
With that, she puffed and huffed and went on her merry way… to the kitchen. Honestly, she is born to play the wolf in some way or another
A gentle voice spoke.
"You fell asleep again. Really it's a wonder how you managed to survive in the Palace this far." she chuckled.
"Let's go to the kitchen."
She had freckles with an adorable little smile. Her hair was like a waterfall on her slim but defined shoulders. A cherry waterfall that is. She has such light red hair. She is cute. Eh? Don't be such a creep and focus, you little brain!!!
" Uh… who are you?" I was sweating a little because of the heat.
Her crystal blue irises widen as if I pulled off a Darth Vader and said I'M YOUR FATHER.
She opened her mouth.
Oh great, she is going to answer right?
I was wrong on so many levels…
"WuuuuUAaaahhhhhhh… this is not funny anymore you meany, stop joking around like the other time." oh… OH MY GOODNESS. She was sobbing. What did I do? I'm the dead one here. Wait I'm not dead. I look like a bully…
"Ummm, sorry sorry I'm not joking anymore let's go, okay?"
I was scratching my neck from nervousness. I'm not a meany so stop crying please.
"Kay~" huh?
She just stopped crying. Now she was smiling like an innocent child. Oh it's her eyes isn't it? Her eyes were sparkling with a mischievous glint. You little sly cat. A cat, yes she was just like a cat. And I must tell you cats are devious little cuties.
She grabbed my hand guide me to the kitchen.
On the way, I was finally able to look around. It was a gigantic garden with exotic flowers planted all over the place. Is this heaven? No, I don't think heaven would have gardeners. One of the gardeners working on a bouquet of golden flowers greeted me. Did I know him? He seemed nice enough.
But real question, what on earth was going on?! As I recalled my last moments I froze. I died… And everyone else… No. Nothing happened. I'm safe, so is everyone else. Maybe I'm just in the hospital with mom waiting for me to wake up. It's all just a short dream. Or better, maybe I just got bored and fell asleep during the Principle’s speech. Ela will wake me up in a minute. Yes, I just need to wait.
I decided to observe my environment a bit more. I had what seemed to be a maid's dress on me, same as the other two girls. Well, turned out I was a maid. At least I had a job.
And then I saw the most grand and luxurious architecture I have ever known. It was even more dreamy than the heaven like garden. The gothic structure of the building somehow complemented the big crystal dome in the middle. It was enormous, like enormous enormous. A giant could live in it no problem. Those crazy bourgeoisie. They are truly flashy aren't they? I couldn't think of any better way to show off wealth than building a diamond embeded gatehouse. Well at least I think they are diamonds. But why are they illuminating a blue hue?
But the most awe aspiring part wasn't the palace nor the garden. All these people seemed to know me. The girls even said my name. A few other workers also greeted me with little nods as if they knew me. I decided to not dwell on all of the craziness for my sanity's sake. It was just a dream so go along with it Alex...Just a dream.
