Yronden
Yronden had been waiting for this day since he was ten. He wanted to be the sleeper, he wanted to save the world, something Tanie the idiot failed to do 200 years before. He hurriedly packed his belongings, he needed to sneak away from his family in order for this to work. He wouldn't miss any of them. His little brother only wanted to copy everything Yronden did, it was annoying. Yronden just wanted the world to know what he already knew, Yronden was a gem in the making. Sure, growing up in the Favor location had its benefits and all, but Yronden knew that he would have to get used to the peasants in the lower locations if he was going to save their intolerable asses. He never considered that his immunity wouldn’t last past the Favor location or that his arrogant ways would lead him to a world of trouble.
He knew this was the time to leave his home because by the time he reaches the Protector location would be the time that he ‘wakes.’ No one has ever known what exactly happens when a sleeper ‘wakes’ and he was so excited to boast about it. Normally, after a sleeper defeats the Void Keeper, or dies trying, they usually go into a state of eternal slumber, but he knows that that only happens because no one has been strong enough to last before. He was the exception. People always doubted what he said because he has a bit of a spare tire around his middle, but in his mind eye it's just a cushion for if he falls, where others would be hurt, he has cushion and will bounce back.
He walks out of his childhood home, ready to face the adventure that awaits him and destroy the danger to get the fame. Then his fucked up society will accept him and treat him as the God he has always known himself to be. If he happens to find a man on his way that will sweep him off his feet, then he wouldn't mind being worshipped. He knew he deserved the best because he was born as the best. No one could touch him and that's how it would stay. The Void Keeper didn't know what was coming and he would de for the next 200 years.
Yronden started his journey, it would take about a day before he would shed the protection that the Favor location’s borders offered him and about six more days of travelling through various locations before he could start the search for the protector who would die for him. Yronden knew for a fact that whoever he got as a protector would be reverent of him, and would know his place as a lower being. He would worship the ground that Yronden walked on.
All of society would pay for calling him spoiled, for making fun of him because of his pudge, no one would walk on Yronden ever again. He would prove he was the strongest. His ego demanded nothing less and he was willing to do whatever it took to prove his worth. Even if it meant walking into the void and showing the baddest monster who was the best. He was so confident in his assumptions, he never thought about what ifs like what if i'm not the special one?
