Walking down the streets at night
The sun once blazing is out of sight.
The twisted paths lead to the park
It's so relaxing to walk in the dark.
The squeaking swings that once were loud
Now sit still without a sound.
The winding slides and rails so bright
Now look dull in the evening light.
Calmly the crickets chirp
Their song interrupted by the water's slurp.
The nearby creek is humming lively,
matching the crickets very timely.
The rising sun soon shines bright
The sky is filling with gradient light
And that, my friends, is the end of the night.
