“Aiya, my boy Ian! Come here. Don’t be afraid, let moma hug you.” Mother embraced him tightly. “If you liked older ones you should have told your mother. Why were you so shy!”
“You’re lucky that boss Rayson wasn’t offended or I would have broken your legs for such a stunt. You’re one lucky omega that he accepted your proposal. Can’t believe my son has such tastes.” His father mumbled the last sentence to himself before continuing, “I’m only agreeing because it’s Mr. Rayson. He’s a good alpha.”
“You must be really glad your parents are so understanding!” Mother kissed her son’s forehead.
What! What! What is this situation, ahh! This isn’t what I wanted!
After that fateful day when Ian foolishly jumped into the well willingly, he couldn’t sleep.
And, the next day, his parents dropped another bomb.
“Mr. Rayson called. He said he would like to have a wedding next week. And we agreed.” Ian choked up on his breakfast.
Cough! Cough!
“Here, water! Eat slowly.” She patted her son’s back.
“Mom, don’t you think it’s too early?”
“No.”
Speechless, Ian stood up to go. “I’m full.”

“I would like to meet Mr. Rayson Vandal.”
“Do you have an appointment?” The receptionist lady asked; a business smile plastered on her face.
“Ah, no.”
“Sir, I’m sorry you can’t meet him then.”
“Please, just tell him Ian Bernard has come to meet him.”
“Sir—”
“I’m his fiancé.” Ian cut in, blurting out in desperation.
Looking at the receptionist lady’s expression Ian knew she didn’t believe him. “There had been no news of the boss's engagement.”
“I know. It…it just recently happened.”
She glanced at the security guard behind Ian.
“Miss, just ring him and ask. Please! It would be troublesome for you if your boss found tha—”
Before Ian could complete his threat, he cut himself off when he saw the lady gesture towards the security guard who immediately presented himself.
“Sir. Please come with me.” The guard said.
Disheartened and annoyed, Ian turned and stomped away. He would just wait outside!
To stop this wedding, Ian decided to make up some excuse, some sad story or whatever to tell Rayson Vandal and have him reject this proposal. He didn’t have his number so he came straight to his company without even telling his parents.
He sat on the raised platform near a small flower-field and waited for 5 minutes before feeling bored. He sent his friend, Sean who was also his alpha-classmate, a text message, telling him all about his situation.
Then he waited. And waited. Even after 5 minutes, there was no reply. Ian then started to play online games.
After around 15 minutes came his friend’s reply.
‘It’s so like you to do something like that.’
That’s it?! Such a short reply! Ian felt annoyed. ‘It’s not my fault! It’s that alpha’s fault! I totally expected him to reject but he…!!! And he should have rejected it!! Reply fast!!’
After 5 minutes came a second reply. ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah! Then Just marry him. I can’t, I’m busy.’
Reading the message, Ian became more displeased with his friend, speedily typing. ‘What?! Is that your solution? How useless! I’ve come to his company to tell him the truth or something… And what are you busy with? My problem is bigger! Pay attention!’
Ian waited. Apparently, his friend didn’t pay attention as there was no reply. So, irritated Ian started to play his game again. He was so engrossed that he didn’t even realize that an hour and half had passed.
“Ohh, is it a new way of omegas to hit on rich alphas, huh?!” A male voice asked scornfully from behind.
Ian didn’t turn to see who it was, ignoring completely. What a bad day! He thought in his heart.
Apparently, the other didn’t like being ignored. Suddenly, Ian felt his whole-body shiver and goosebumps form when a hand touched an omega’s most sensitive and vulnerable place; his neck. Phone slipping from his hand, Ian twisted his body, jumped from where he sat and aimed a furious punch at the insolent alpha behind.
Although stunned for a moment, the alpha’s reflexes were fast. He twisted his upper body a little, took a step back and avoided the attack.
“Woah, woah woah! What a feisty one!” He said before looking behind to ask his companion, “Did you see that?”
Ian then realized there were two people; both in suits. One taller, the insolent alpha, who stood before him. And the other was a shorter one, a glasses-guy, who stood a few distance away; he looked like a beta.
The rude alpha then looked back at the fuming omega in front, appraising him. “But I like feisty ones. And you look cute too. Even cuter when angry. Name your price. I’ll buy you for tonight.” He said arrogantly, smiling.
Furious Ian threw another unsuccessful punch. “Who do you think you are! You damn alpha! I’m not a prostitute!” He said the last word through gritted teeth.
On the other hand, the alpha’s smile grew bigger, making Ian angrier. “Oh,” he drawled. “Are you not a streetwalker trying to trap rich alphas? Then, what an unmated omega like you doing sitting here at this time?” His eyes landed on the slender neck. “Not even a collar?”
“Why can't I be here? I can be wherever the hell I want to be! Whatever I’m doing, is none of your business!”
The smiling, rude alpha simply started to move towards Ian.
With a conscious effort, Ian stopped himself from taking a step back instinctively. Inside, he felt scared but on the outside, he adopted a brave front.
So, what if he was an omega; his heart was like an alpha!
The alpha got too close for Ian’s comfort. Ian had to tilt his head up to look at the man.
When the other person continued moving forward, Ian used both of his hands to stop and push the Alpha away whose body was about to touch his. But, it was in vain. Alpha’s and omega’s strength disparity came in between. In turn, his wrists were caught.
Ian tried to pull them free, “Let go!”
No response. This time he shouted, “Let go, you deaf damn perve--!”
Suddenly, he cut himself off, looking at the alpha with stunned, wide-eyes. “You wouldn’t dare?!”
“Why wouldn't I?”
“How low of you to use your pheromones to make me submit!” Ian felt panicked inside as his body started to lose energy.
“Don’t blame me. Didn’t I ask you your price nicely at first?”
“And I told you I’m not selling my body!” He shouted with the last of his strength.
The despicable smile on the alpha’s face finally disappeared. “So noisy.”
Ian truly felt scared then. He had never been in this kind of situation before. He didn’t even inform his parents that he was coming here. And had lied to them that he was going to their neighbors house.
As his legs started to lose strength, the alpha put his arm around his waist to support him. “Let’s g—”
“Where are you taking my fiancé?” Asked a deep male voice from behind them.
