A Hell full of Angels

Tutor me (not)

Tutor me (not)

Oct 08, 2020

After one hour of waiting, he eventually decided to enter the room and avoided looking at me. I was growing more and more irritated, the running session did not do much to relieve my stress. “I think, you’ve forgotten something,” I stated calmly.

Angel’s eyebrows furrowed again, before his eyes went wide and he finally looked at me. “Oh no, I’m so, so sorry. I-it slipped my mind. But we can start now! Only if you want to, of course…”

He seemed to be almost back to his old self again, which actually relieved some of that pent-up annoyance. “Well, it has to be done. So where do you want to do it?” I purposely emphasised the 'it' in an attempt to sound flirty, but Angel seemed too pre-occupied with the thought of studying that he didn't catch on.

His eyes started sparkling a bit, “I like to study in the library, but talking is difficult there.”

“No need for talking, I’ll just watch you do your stuff. Livingstone said, I didn’t have to actually do anything.”

“Oh right, but isn’t that boring?” he asked.

“Not any more than studying,” I answered. “You’re coming?” and with that, we both headed towards the library of the school - building number 4.

The library was like none I’ve ever seen before, not that I had visited many, but I was sure this wasn’t normal for a school library. It was separated into 3 floors, two filled with all kinds of books and one specifically meant for the students to study, equipped with desks and computers. There even was a small Café in a corner, serving tea, coffee and snacks.

The size wasn’t the only abnormal part, though. The whole building looked like it was taken out of the Victorian age, at least what I imagined to be Victorian. Dark wood was used throughout the place for all the shelves and the floor, as well as wooden pillars. A lot of ornaments were decorating every piece, just like in the main building. The ceiling was rounded and high, which gave the place an even more majestic appearance. It was illuminated by a few grand chandeliers and the enormous windows placed on the walls.

It was too much. Similar to my first day in this school, I was overwhelmed most negatively. In the last 3 weeks, I had gotten used to this place, the every-day luxury, so now I didn’t have the urge throw up immediately, but I still couldn’t stand this place.

“Next time we’re gonna stay in our room,” I told Angel as soon as we sat down on some chairs.

The supposed tutoring was none of that sort. Angel did study and occasionally wanted to explain something to me, but he quickly understood that I was in no mood to be tutored. He finally stopped bugging me in fear of me freaking out again, and I spent the whole time watching him, staring into thin air, or doodling on my paper.

“Time’s up,” I said after 2 hours on sitting on the same uncomfortable library chair. Angel looked up to me, only letting out a small “Oh”, and in only a minute, I was out of the library. The air outside felt liberating. I was going to stay here a bit longer.

Misha let out a long breath. The last two hours were horrible. He could feel Krane’s eyes staring into his soul, so his concentration was suffering immensely. Why had he accepted the proposal of the principal? Why had he not declined and saved himself the trouble? But what was done was done, so instead of thinking about possible different ways the future could have played out and waste even more time, he focused on the problem in front of him now: Chemistry.

After two more long hours, the boy was finally content with his work and decided to spend the rest of the evening with his friends. It was already after 8pm. The day went by in the blink of an eye, but he absolutely needed to see his friends before returning to the demon’s grasp again.

He still wasn’t over the image, he first imagined Krane to look like, even though the delinquent turned out to be slightly more human.

As soon as he knocked on Jar and Cedar’s door, the door flew open, and he was welcomed in.

“What’s wrong? You look completely worn out today,” Jar, short for Jarred, asked the blonde. He was the biggest of them all and with 1,85m not small in general.

“Nothing really. I just had an exhausting day,” Misha smiled at his friends.

“Don’t overwork yourself, Mish,” Cedar commented, “You should rest once in a while. Also, how is life going with the demon?”

Misha groaned and buried his head in his hands, “Don’t ask. I don’t understand him. Compared to spending time with him, doing homework feels like a spa experience…”

“Is it that bad? Have you talked about changing roommates with the principal already?” Jarred got worried, while Cedar chuckled lightly.

Misha shook his head, “No, I can’t do that. There are no free rooms, so I feel spoiled to demand a room change. Someone has to be his roommate, and it happened to be me. It's not that bad anyway, it's just really exhausting.”

All three sighed at the exact same time, lifting the mood and causing even Misha to laugh with his friends. “Speaking of the principal,” Cedar interrupted their laughter, “Why did he want to talk to you today?”

Transferring to a new school is never pleasant, but what happens if the lazy bad-boy is sent to study with the elites?

When Krane arrives at Livingstone High, he is quite sure, his last year of Highschool will be the worst. However, he did not anticipate the small boy that he shared his room with to slowly make his way into Krane's heart.

A turn on the typical storyline of sending an innocent boy into a school full of delinquents - containing a lot of swearing but just as much love.
