I sit in a stool in security, leaning over the desk. I'm just making some sketches to fill my time, drawing maps of the ship and portraits of my crewmates. Most of them have turned out pretty good, so I just set those aside. There's one I can't get right though.
I erase a large portion of it and start again, connecting the lines back together and trying to get the little details right, but I can't. It doesn't look right still. There's something off. My level of skill would never be able to get the little particular details that would make it right. Then again, I don't think any level of skill could. He's just too perfect.
I feel his arms wrap around me and pull me against his chest as his lips touch my neck. Blood rushes to my face, and I bring my shoulder up to block his antics. Ezra laughs that deep silky laugh into my ear and touches his mouth to the side of my face instead.
"Archer, don't be so bashful," he jokes and laughs again. I feel a smile make its way onto my face as he rests his chin on my shoulder. "Is that me?" he asks.
I cover the art up with the other drawings I've made and push them all to the side. "Well, it was supposed to be," I sigh. I turn my head to look at him, and he looks back at me. I lean in and he meets me halfway for a kiss.
His hands slide down my chest and settle around my waist, gripping me tightly and holding me close to him. I hear him inhale deeply as he presses further into my lips and turns me so that we're facing each other head-on. My tongue slips into his mouth, and he groans, making my stomach flip nauseatingly. I wish he would just bend me over and fu—
Then I realize what he's doing, but it's much too late by the time I push Ezra away. He squeals like a scared pig as he darts to the other side of the room, holding my drawing of him close to his stomach.
"Give it back," I whine, but he just smiles and shakes his head.
"No can do, boo. I want to see it."
"But I don't want you to see it. Consent is important."
"For sex. Consent is important for sex," Ezra corrects me with a laugh. I smile and get into an offensive position, and he mirrors me with a defensive one. I prepare myself to leap at him while he readies himself to break into a sprint. I start putting one foot forward slowly, like a cat waiting to pounce, and I watch the fun-filled fear flood his captivating gray eyes that I can never seem to look away from.
"Careful, Archer, or I might just get the idea that you're the imposter from the way you're stalking me," he teases, slowly backing up from me.
I arch an eyebrow and cock my head to the side. "Oh, honey, I might as well be," I taunt back right before I leap forward toward him. He yelps and jumps out of the way, laughing playfully as I chase him around the room. He may be fast, but I sure am faster.
I grab him around the waist and twist my body, throwing our weight down the floor. Ezra screams in surprise as we tumble down, and I flip him over to straddle him. The paper flutters from his hand and drifts back to the ground a few feet away from us.
The room falls silent aside from our panting breaths that echo between us. He smiles up at me with that beautiful fucking smile, and I can't resist leaning down to peck him on the lips. "You're beautiful," I confess to him, and his smile widens considerably. I continue, "That's why I didn't want you to have the drawing. I can't even begin to capture how absolutely riveting you are, Ezra."
"Riveting? Oh, that's a new one."
"Shut up," I warn before kissing him again. I put my arms down on either side of his head and lace my fingers through his soft hair. How amazing, and he doesn't even know it.
Somewhere in all the excitement, his hair fell down from its position in his ponytail. Now it's laid out around him like a dark halo. It's so entrancing, just like everything else about him. He is the epitome—the very being—of everything marvelous, and I just can't get enough. I never want to get enough.
After about twenty minutes of making out on the floor, we finally decide that it's about time we got back to work. Well, it's time he gets back to work. It's time that I peel myself away from his irresistible presence and go back to killing people, much to my displeasure. The killing part is fine, honestly. It's just the leaving Ezra part that I'm reluctant to do.
As soon as he leaves the room to go across the hall, I pull out my tablet and sabotage the O2. Once again, I receive the notification on my screen, and the red lights start flashing, effectively blinding me before my eyes adjust to the constant changing. The deafening alarm also starts to sound too. Honestly, I feel like the combination of flashing lights and soul-awakening alarms just causes more panic than needed.
Nonetheless, it's standard procedure, and the perfect time for me to get another kill in.
