"What's your name?" I ask as we walk to his house. "Thorpe" he says back to me. Thorpe, kind of a cool name I guess, I like it. "Well Thorpe, what made you want to invite me home so badly?" I ask. "Just something about you I guess. I don't really know." he replies. I know my mom always told me not to trust strangers, but there's something about this guy. I just can't say no to him, almost like he's inside my head or something.
We arrive at his apartment building after about five minutes of walking. Man, this place looks really upscale, like the kind of place I could not afford to stay in. This kid doesn't seem the spoiled brat type, even if he was causing a ruckus with the cashier, but he sure lives like it. After some more walking and small talk we finally make it inside his place. "Man, this place is really nice." I say in an attempt to break the ice. "Yeah, I told my parents that I didn't need a place like this but what can you do." he replies chuckling. "So, let's get down to business."
